SOLA MELODICA I really feel that you'll love TOOL'S "RIGHT IN TWO." It's about the Garden of EDEN and FREEWILL from the ANGELS PERSPECTIVE. 🤯🤞

The very simple premise is that we are obviously all one. We are all of the earth and riding this planet together. To look at any separation is an illusion created in the mind of the observer. And in doing so we create things to live and die for... focusing our attentions on envy, greed and THEM instead of lifting an eye towards heaven thankful for the gift of life

Love what you contribute to the reactions, it’s always deep and fresh! I appreciate the analysis of Saturn and how you applied your knowledge to the reaction!
The beauty with Tool is that the songs lyrics are written in a vague way for the most part, which tends to allow for an individualistic interpretation and it really encourages the listener to analyze it in the way that fits them and their situation; a Tool for healing, encouragement, support, etc.
My interpretation of the lyrics, specifically the Saturn part, is that the planet Saturn completes its full orbit every 27-29 years and it is the best time to reevaluate and let go of things that may not serve you. This belief is reinforced with the longevity of Maynard’s 25-27 second scream, attempting to parallel the Saturn time frame. And yes, I’ve seen them live several times and he does execute an extremely long scream that gets up into the 20 second range, especially in his prime.
Anyway, again, a great reaction! Looking forward to more!!

Another great reaction/review. I saw Tool live on this tour. They played this song and Maynard (57 years old) was able to hold that scream for 16 seconds. The whole band has gotten better with age.

I saw them this year on tour too and one thing he's done that is subtle is that he's changed this from a scream to more of the Yeahhhhhhhhhhh. Still impressive but easier on the vocal chords.

He was going for 27ish seconds which is the approximate length of Saturn's cycle in years. Saturn is the astrological symbol for Karma and can also represent when people reach maturity. The Stone (Besides being the burden we carry) is a reference to the philosopher's stone from Alchemy which was sought to transmute metal (usually lead, as in leaded anchor ⚓️) onto gold. 🤔

He can still do that scream now. This song is on their set list on their current tour, and he still nails it. And I love your monkey hunting metaphor.

Parabol/Parabola (2 songs) and Lateralus are from this album and have very metaphysical themes also
There is also Forty-Six and 2 and H. which have personal growth as the central theme. Could work into your theistic themes also

Guitar, but terribly. My mom introduced me to Rod Stewart and Bob Seger when I was in grade school and it kind of evolved from there.

PUSCIFER's song "HUMBLING RIVER" is BEAUTUFUL. Maynard and Carina Round's HARMONIES are SUBLIME. The song is about coming together. ✌🤞

When you consider the eternal nature of our consciousness, holding onto a grudge for what is almost certainly materialistic in nature, damaging the evolution of our own soul and others in the process, the grudge itself seems really petty and small in the grand scheme of the universe. "We are all one spark, one word. Tool - Pneuma"

Trauma, it seems, comes boiling to the surface about 25 years after you experienced it initially and subsequently locked it away. It becomes a festering boil that needs to be lanced. It takes about 25 years to come to the surface and after a long time of infecting your relationships and actions. The scream to me is the torment at realizing your trauma ... in its untreated state has caused a lot of suffering to others. It's agony.
