      I really truly live in Smyrna, TN. I am originally from West KY. I was born there and spent 50 years in West KY. I moved to the Nashville area in 2015 as a job transfer to finish my career. I spent almost a year in Murfreesboro in an apartment while my house was built. Yea I do not live a life of anonymity. I am an open book. LOL Honestly it feels weird using a pseudonym on UA-cam. As a rule, when I chat on UA-cam I converse on my original YouTybe profile with my real name and picture. But since I am a Patriot fan, I like the nickname. That's it. There are no Patriot fans in Nashville. LOL That is probably the thinking. LOL, I case you wonder, the "Six" is for the six Lombardies that New England has won. Some say by hook or crook but I love the hate. It doesn't bother me.
      So, I have been here seven years and most of the people I know are from work. Or a friend my wife has hauled in here. It is unlikely I would know your kin unless one of them works where I worked.

    Great video…btw, if you have a 3 button mouse, you can change the gizmo setting from just clicking the middle mouse button…click to scroll thru translate, rotate and scale…just thought you might like..been using the trick ever since I started developing scenery for the sim….

      Thank you for the kind words and the tip. Yes, I am sure there are a lot of shortcuts out there. I am aware of the mouse but I used a two-button mouse for so long, and old habits are hard to break. LOL, I also do other gaming which is far more mouse intensive. My daughter bought me a super gaming mouse but I continue to do what I have done for about 15 years on that game. Welcome to the channel.

      @@dvlourie1 Ha! Its a great mouse. It is a Razer Viper Ultimate. I am just a simpleton. LOL Oh, the UA-cam creations..... Man, it is such a PITA to create and time-consuming. But once you start, you feel obligated to continue. Or at least I do. So far the only thing I have done is favors for people. But, I enjoy helping others as long as they are not sticking it to me. Everybody has their thing. Some love all the different aircraft. I love airports. Flytampa (my favorite) can't make them fast enough for me here in the US.

      Maybe. 😊 I have always enjoyed adding scenery going back to an earlier iteration of FS in the early 90s.

    Just wondering if you have an updated version of adding static aircraft for msfs 2020, this version does not reflect the SDK i have. I am new to this, last time i had FS 2000.

    Hi,
    Your tutorials are really very clear, maybe the clearest on you tube.
    I want to add static planes like in your video, but in simobject, there are only basic MSFS models with very few liveries.
    Is there a site to get more planes and liveries? or else you have to do them yourself, but how?

      Any aircraft in the library is usable. You might find some in the "scenery" as opposed to simobjects. However, most likely if they are a scenery object it will be because you have added liveries. It does not sound like you have though. Just guessing. You can go to flightsim.to and find all kinds of liveries and most if not all are free. The key is that they must remain in the community folder to spawn in the project 100% of the time. I am always careful as to how much I put in the community folder because the more you put in the CF the longer the load times and flight load times. If you have not watched this video you should and you should also start building your library with conservation in mind. ua-cam.com/video/MU9Zs4rW-9U/v-deo.html If you are already aware of CF managing what I say now will make sense. There are mods that you can keep in the CF all of the time that is applicable to all flights and activities and other mods that are situational and can be added as needed. The goal is to keep what is essential for every flight ready to load and pick the situational mods based on your desired activity. Sorry for the long answer but I don't want you to experience trouble down the road. Happy flying.

      I admit I didn't understand how to integrate liveries that are in my community folder to make static planes. I'm pretty new to the SDK world and all I've done is thanks to your tutorials

      @@thierryfonade39 It is easy. Place in the CF and then place them where you want. It works like any other object. Good luck.

      In my community folder I have a United airlines Airbus A320, I am on my scene, it is open and I have my tabs visible, how do I find my United airlines A320 to put it in static in my scene?

      I can't. There is probably a video out there, but I don't know which is best. However, it is a simple process. You can build the package as you would to add scenery but use an exclusion rectangle around the aircraft you want to be removed. An exclusion rectangle is there to remove all objects, take care of placement, or it will remove things you wish to keep. Use as many rectangles as necessary and size them down so you only remove what you want. I have a Facebook scenery group where more people than I discuss these things. If you do Facebook, it is handy because you can upload images when you have a difficult issue. Here is the link. It is up to you. facebook.com/groups/788136852324508

    Hi, thank you so much for this tutorial. I have a question if you don't mind me asking. When I place a plane it seems to be quite below the ground not completely on it. Is this ok? Would at the moment of launching would the planes take the right level? In proporties snap to ground is ticked....

      It is okay and seems to be how it works. However, once you complete the scenery and place the package in the Community folder and load up the simulator the aircraft will adjust to the ground below it and be in the correct position. I am building a fictitious airport now and the video is in parts. During one of the pats I added static aircraft and you can see them in the ground. However, once I compete and load in, the aircraft are correct.

      @@patriotsix5880 Hi, thank you so much for replying. I confirmed, once loaded all works correctly, Now I have 2 quesions. Why my addon linker still rename my model or material library? I can't remeber which one was and second why it ends with such heavy frames some planes don't even show which I find really odd.

      @@CarlosQuesadaR Carlos, I apologize but I am confused about the question. I can't think of any reason why an add-on linker would rename a file. It is really hard to communicate this way on UA-cam comments when you ask a question that is without illustrations.     one question: if i put static aircraft at an actual gate, could it disrupt the gameplay when starting a flight at that gate?

      I don't think so. The sim seems to detect airports at gates. Even if you use a traffic mod like FSLTL. The bottom line is there is no harm in trying. Add what you want; if it creates a conflict, it is simple to pull the project back up and remove the static aircraft.

      @@rafael-tango-tango Oh! I misunderstood. I didn't realize you wanted to start at the same gate you placed a static. Yes, that will not work. You would want to fill only some gates with static aircraft. One or two but not all gates. The same rule applies to GA parking. The few times I have used static aircraft, I ensure I place them in a location I will never attempt to use.
