The curse that kept ash young forever has been broken
Lol
Bye bye Satos ... I mean Ash!
He can finally turn 11
Lol
Well there's one plus. But still.
Just end the series right there.
After 25 years, the curtain is closing on our boy from Pallet Town and I'm feeling all shorts of emotions right now. All good things must come to an end. All ends are beginnings. Ash Ketchum... you'll always be the very best to us. 😭
Well, time to go binge watch all of Pokémon in order to look back on his legacy.
Our boy should have been a man ten years ago, ten years later he’s at least become a man figuratively... now it’s time to watch ash rapidly age like a saiyan past their prime
A famous character now forever bound into the history books of Pokémon media
Dudes, The Pokémon 2. B. A Master album suddenly hits so differently now. 😭
Finally no more loser trainer that wins because of friendship. I really wish Paul from Sinnoh would have been the new lead. I was just like Paul all those years ago during Red&Blue, its time for real battles and no more friendship now that the loser is finally being retired.
who remembers the OG pokemon op? Every time I listen to it I remember parts of my childhood trading pokemon cards with friends and the first time I landed a EX card all the way to the day I captured my first shiny pokemon in pokemon Y.
No matter how much hate Ash got for losing every league until Alola...
No matter how much people compared him to Red...
One thing was always constant...
He was a part of our childhoods, a part of our lives as we speak.
Thank you, Ash and thank you, Pikachu. Thank you for all the Journeys.
Indeed
thank you for the adventures
He won at least the orange league as well.
Love both Ash and Pikachu, will miss the both of them and wish to see them again!❤️
Thank you for the good times. kind of a weird feeling to see him go. don't cry because it's over smile because it happened. gotta send the boy off
This is a strange feeling. On one hand, it's about time Ash's story came to a close. On the other hand, I remember when Ash's story started and I never imagined I'd live to see the end.
I mean people were saying it's time for his journey to end in diamond and pearl that's just a pointless line people repeated. Really how is it even the pokemon anime without ash and pikachu? And if they just give a pikachu to the new mc that's so pathetic. Pokemon was one of those anime that simply didn't need to change it's mc. It replaces his companions every single series it's new pokemon every series it was still fresh no matter what but ash was there to keep the foundation of the anime.
For me I just don't get people who are glad they are getting rid of ash like you are going to get invested in these new random main characters lol
On a somewhat related note, I feel more for Luffy and One Piece ending
@@donkeymoo1581 I missed Ash. But I still spectate that Pokémon can still do well without Ash. Of course, I won't support anime with bad and dull writing. Also, I think the title Pokémon does not mean Ash Journey.
@@donkeymoo1581: Here’s the thing with these new MCs. I think they will only interest people in probably the first couple of months. Pokémon has always been that series where you can have the main character slightly reset every time. I think a lot of fans just really got tired of then resetting Ash every region instead having an overall story. This is also what I think they will do to these new MCs. I really don’t see what they’ll do with them where we haven’t seen before. We’ve seen so many dreams and ambitions that I just think they should’ve just ended the anime at this point. These new MCs can definitively have potential but they will constantly be compared to Ash to the point that they will never reach his level. I have a feeling people may watch this new generation or even a few months and then just not watch it and complain again like always. At this point, Pokemon make their off the games and merchandise. The anime is really just a way for them to advertise the new games and merchandise. I think Ash was definitively iconic enough to get people to want to buy stuff so they can feel the life he lives in a sense. With him gone, I just really don’t see the anime having a solid future in all honesty. Though unless, Riko is the daughter of Ash which has been theorized but I think just doing a 2nd generation will turn off fans even more to watch the anime. Ash should’ve had the Brock-type role where he has the experience and knowledge to share with these MCs learning from him. That way you appeal to both new and old fans and you can even have a time skip happen to have Ash older which I think will have many fans run to their screens to finally see an Ash that is aged up. I think it’s a missed opportunity that they just completely writing him off instead of doing what the fans want them to do with him. I do feel like the Pokemon company will feel the repercussions of their actions in the near future.
@@theracman5624 I 100% agree with the first few months things. I can see pokemon viewing figures being higher than they have been for years for people checking out the new characters out of pure curiously but once that new change hype has died down I wouldn't be surprised if they had less than half of the viewers they had with ash.
I can understand somewhat why they would want to change it's been over 20 years but it was absolutely not needed and was also the wrong choice for sure. If people were tired of ash they would stop watching. Brand new pokemon fans start watching every series, every new series would be their first experience with ash they didn't need to remove him even after him winning even if he was a great trainer if he reset his pokemon it's not like he would just go and beat anyone.
Anyway to me the pokemon anime is done forever sadly. I won't watch with different characters I have no investment in it anymore.
We’ll never really let go of Ash Ketchum to be honest.
We wont let go but nintendo will and it hurts seeing him go
Yeah, We never get to See His Father, His Adulthoods, His Marriage, even His Future!
@@10tailedbijuu honestly if that happens at least we have 1223 episodes(damn thats even more than one piece) of content to cycle through whenever we feel like watching pokemon i did the math and thats 17 full days of constant episodes without the opening
i guess Ash wont really go away on the anime, just passing the MC role on the new girl...
Gotta release 'em all
Ash went from being late to get a starter to This. Amazing

@@legendarysayainbroly5963: I have a feeling that the new anime may start strong as people are gonna be interested to see if these new characters can live up to Ash. Though, I doubt will last long where then the anime will realize that creating new protagonists after having Ash be one for so long is really not a good idea. They should;be just had him play the role Brock did where he just had the knowledge and experience that he can share and help Ash and the female companion improve their skills. I don’t understand why they have to complete get rod of him instead of just doing a dual protagonist story from here on out where Ash is out to defend his title and the new co-protagonist is trying to accomplish their dream while also learning and travelling with the best there ever is.
I will miss you ash, you made all of our childhood. See you later ash. Hope we can meet again one day.
I honestly thought this Day would never come. But now it's...
It's here.
I'm sad, but also happy that We'll see Ash achieve his dreams. Mainly sad and confused
I'm just... Kinda stunned... I don't follow the anime anymore, bit I just never imagined a day where we'd day goodbye to Ash. It seemed like such a constant, but now it's ending...

Im going to miss Ash. I really do hope the next people coming after Ash lives up to him.
Probably no
As much as I would like to hope that these new characters are gonna be good, I highly doubt they will ever reach the impact that Ash has left on Pokémon fans. I have a feeling that the new anime will be successful at first as people will want to see what these new MCs are gonna like. However, I don’t think that will last long and the anime will probably loose lots of popularity with the fans as many may not be interested in seeing these new characters on their journey. I myself will be someone who will stop watching the anime once Ash’s story is complete. I’m just gonna be honest with the fact that I have no interest to see new character try and accomplish dreams that we may have already seen before. I just rather end off my journey with Pokémon along side Ash for good instead of forcing myself to watch characters who I will probably never accept because I’ve been watching Ash for the last 10 years.
You can hear the emotion in Noble’s voice become more apparent as he goes on. Don’t worry man, this hurts us too…
Indeed... but we must clap and smile for ash and enjoy those last 11 episodes before seeing him go.
I’ve watched his journey since I was 5, I love him and Pikachu so much. Wish the best for them in their journeys and wherever we see them next. 😢😭❤

Hopefully with ushering in a new era with Scarl/Violt, these protagonist will make up a real bunch of new stories (seeing as Ash’s personality is not theirs, so) 🤞
I have always been in the camp of hating Ash for back tracking on everything so hearing this makes me so happy that we may get a Digimon type release where each season is new characters that can crossover for movies an specials if desired
Wow, a hater 🙄
I wonder who Ash was made for.
Our boy finally reach the peak he was looking for, I totally expected this to happen, there was no new high to reach after the top, so anything else would seem inconsequential.
Doesn't make it any less sad to see him go, it's like sticking around with an old friend until the point you got no reason to hang anymore, you know he's doing well, but there's no chance of seeing each other again.
True but at least givr a salute for him achieving the very best, usually most trainers had given up onve they get old and ngl he wouldve in the first 2 series or somethin.

Pokémon creator: “Ash Journey is coming to an end, everybody.”
Noble: (Man sobbing)
F'ing finally! He can finally grow up and catch Misty, Serena, or anyone of his female companions with his Master balls.
Watch, he marries a pokemon
Goodbyes are never easy. But in order to grow they are a necessity. Ash has been part of everyone's lives for so long that it is going to hurt. It is going to be scary. But it's OK. We also know Ash will never truly be gone. He'll become the inspiration for those to follow him. Some of us had already said goodbye when we stepped away from the franchise but we returned to see him back, sometimes goofier sometimes stronger, but always advancing.
Instead of being sad, it's better to reflect on the lessons he taught us.
Never give up on your dreams. It may take time, but you'll get there if you keep moving forward.
Smell ya later Ash and Pikachu. See you later pokemon master.
Sadge, but Love our Eternal 10 years old Boi Best wishes to him for he has become the Very Best Like No One Ever was...doyLove.
Before watching the trailer: I had a feeling Ash's time was coming to an end after he won the league. That said, I think it's appropriate. He became this amazing Champion. He can pursue other dreams off the screen, including being a Master. He's got a whole life ahead of him to do wonderful things. This new protagonist, whoever they are, will reignite the curiosity and green leaves of children everywhere, where the learning never ends. I'm excited to see who replaces Ash and the new adventures they will have!
After watching the trailer: I love the character designs, and it's almost symbolic, the transition between past and future. If there was any generation to replace Ash, it would be this one. It's a new age, and my excitement for the series grows!
It's about damn time that's all I'm going to say!
I've been following Ash since 1999 when the first episode was released in my country. If he had aged at a normal rate, he'd have kids by now but he has been eternally and immortally young for all this time. Maybe now he'll finally age and go off and have kids and they can be the next, next Pokemon trainers after this current trainer .

It’s really nice that they aren’t just getting Ash off the show immediately, but instead giving him a send off of 11 episodes. But I have to wonder, if these new characters end up having a similar goal to Ash, would that mean they would end up battling Ash towards the end of their Journey (whenever that will be)?
Im getting Red vibes from this comment. (gold and silver on Mount silver where you find red with a super high level team a Red who has become a pokemon master whos journey has ended)
By the time this girl vs ash I be in my 50 think about make life feel short.
If they end having a similar goal to Ash, I doubt they’ll even have the chance to complete their journey as I think many people are gonna be really pissed that we’re just seeing new characters doing Ash’s dream all over again instead of just continuing with him in some way, shape or form

Just 11 episodes, counting down, to the end of another childhood moments...
Oh lordy lo...
I had imagined the potential of his journey, but I did not expect it to be done through a dedicated special miniseries. I'm excited for it though, and am hopeful for the future of the anime.
I’m Happy he’s moving on with a good heart, Ash is what we have grown up with from the start and he’s finally growing up with us too. The new character looks really cute I can’t wait to see where her own journey takes her.
It's an end to an Era. Here is too you Ash.
Ok, so i didn't wake up into a parallel universe. This is legit happening
One thing I'm feeling is.... The same feeling I had throughout my Scarlet playthrough. The two new protagonist's have better clothes than us! Give 'em!
So no nemona and ash 24 hour battle montage when they first meet.... I'm unsure about this but glad he mange to stay with us for so many generations he will be missed, but never forgotten until the next Pokémon Journey.
Dude same! I was so excited to see Ash and Nemona meet on the TV screen. They’re interactions would have been gold.
The time has come, it’s for the best, I know it. Who could’ve guessed that you and I…somehow, someday, we’d have to say goodbye? Dang, Ash leaving the series for good feels unreal. But I guess it’s time to pass the torch to someone else
never expected ash ends his journey before luffy
I hope Ash will still be a recurring character and a mentor to the new generations kind of like how the protagonists of previous generations often came back in Pokémon Adventure.
I really want this new girl to be his daughter, it doesn't have to be Dawn as her mother but the colors would make sense. For Ash as a dad calling her and giving her advice like his own mother did and go to important battles... The movies he could travel with her to different lands he has visited. My hopes are way to high.
Indeed, i can just hope that ash finally be a 20 or 30 year old man with his long partner pikachu

I noticed Noble senpai left out the girl from Pokemon the Movie 2000... I forget her name but ik she missed Ash.
Ash as new professor?

We're gonna miss Ash Kethum and his good old childhood memories from the beginning! 😓
This is pretty sad, we grew up with Ash and now it’s time to see him go.
I hope that in the finale they bring back Jason Paige to sing like a remix of the original song to send Ash off
YES
Ash is probably gonna be making guest appearances of course. Maybe as a speaker at the school in Paldea or maybe as a full blown teacher. And don’t forget he has plenty of options.
My money is on Ash becoming a member of the Frontiers.

It's horrifying...
Ash's dad is still the biggest mystery ...
There's always a chance he'll still be around. They revealed two new characters, and they usually do a trio.
I’m a bit skeptical here. Like nah, they’re just gonna let Ash go like that? Nah this has to be bait or something. These two new characters can’t be the new leads like they gotta be new traveling companions for him or something.
Didn’t they mention in the recent Journeys episode that Ash was heading to the new region? I could’ve sworn they did.

same here!! except i'm 33 and i would watch the episodes after school :)
Maaann, I still remember watching the first ever episode when it aired in the UK in March 1999. Somehow over those 2 decade Ash has only gotten younger. But it's gonna feel so strange having him leave the show. I hope Brock at least sticks around and maybe we will still see Ash some day. It's been real.
They just need to finish the final episode with the original Pokémon theme to hammer home the feels.
Exactly
The very first season of the anime premiered when I was almost exactly the age Ash Ketchum was (and, unlike me, still is), so... yeah, the end of Ash's journey is a bit of an emotional moment for me (though seeing the Team Rocket Trio's adventures come to a close alongside it is an even bigger gut-punch).
My heart feels weird
It's been literally 2 decades of my life that Ash has been the main character...it feels surreal that he's not gonna be the main character anymore...we may see him as a special guest popping up to let us know how he's been in the years to follow..if he had a family, who he had said family with (pulling for Misty ngl..her or Dawn.), and to give some advice...kinda like how Red and Blue have shown up in more modern post games as people to battle that are high level. But...Ash not being the main lead in the main anime...? Never thought this day would come.
We’ve still got an 11 episode mini arc of sorts to get through. Who knows what’ll happen there.
Imagine if they took the new anime in the direction of Made in Abyss and Jojo's Bizzare Adventure.
They were already experimenting with the idea of "scary pokemon", and though I haven't finished the story of pokemon scarlet, I'd think they would go in the hole and bad things happen. Also the Pokemon Adventures Manga was like life and death battles with the ability to choose 6 stands that synergies perfectly with each other. I'd watch the heck out of this
This is actually incredible. I am amazed that they're actually retiring Ash. I'm so interested to see what direction they'll go now that Ash is going away. He's been in this anime since it's beginning, and not an era is finally over. Let's show support for this new start.
After this I watched the bump of chicken song again, I watch it frequently but this hit deep again like the 1st time I saw it... just... a love letter to all the fans, old and new, and after Ash finally won after all these years, becoming a champion among champions, his 3rd league won (people forget Orange Islands) and the Hoenn Battle Frontier master. It also reminded me of my BW2 journey. Not because that was my 1st game... but funnily enough my opponents in the PW2 were the exact same as Ash's. 1st Steven, then Cynthia, and... well Leon didn't exist back then, but Red, while different characters has similarities to Ash. Heck even down to our last Pokemon, just a back and forth, ending in Charizard vs Charizard, even match, mine outspeeds and thunderpunches his Charizard in the jaw... and I won. It may have been... I don't know how many years ago... jesus 2012 is when BW2 released either then or 2013 I imagine... so long ago and finally Ash went through not just a similar experience, but the same. Was cool, like seeing an old friend grow up, even if I wasn't there in the stands to watch his battle, I still saw it, and couldn't be happier or prouder.
Hoping the 11 episodes include him going back and demolishing all the champions he lost to
5:24: *Exists.*
Me: I can smell the Rule 34 artists working hard on the new protagonists fanarts already.
Rule 34: YOU DAMN RIGHT!
I suppose winning that championship finally allowed him to move on from the spotlight. He's died, made a lot of friends, made a lot of more than friends, so many episodes and then the trophy that he's always yearned for. I supple it's a natural conclusion.
5:14 lol he said doo doo
It’s so weird. It’s a long time coming, but I’ve been so used to Ash & Pikachu that it’s going to feel like something is missing for awhile
Ash: becomes a champion and finally turns 11
Pokémon company: I'm sorry little one...
Damn this is something I never thought would happen
The fact that ash is being retired before I even turn 20 is something that inflicts massive amounts of soul damage, knowing that my childhood is officially over.
Don’t feel bad, I’m only 24 but it’s been a pleasure watching the series from a lil kid up till now 💪🏾
Holy Shit a LP upload from Noble in the morning that's stellar and honestly didn't think Ash would be replaced he'll still be there in some fashion I'm sure but a whole new character as the main trainer for the series is pretty crazy news OH MAI GAWD
Damn I remember seeing the amine when I was like 6…
……..and there goes another piece of my childhood…… it’s not a sad goodbye though it’s more a heartwarming goodbye, Ash has been with us since the beginning we’ve grown up throughout his journeys and yet for me I don’t feel sad not one bit, im happy to have grown up throughout his journey’s . We will still him here and there oh absolutely but…. His big journey, his adventure, the friends he made along the way that has ended and those memories will be cherished and oh so many more to make and I can not wait to see what new adventures will be on the horizon.
I just wonder if Ash will show up as an adult in the new anime. That would be pretty crazy, but I think this reboot was a long time in the making. They need to start concentrating on the next generation of fans more if they want the franchise to last past its initial fanbase. Though to be fair, Pokemon has never had too much of an issue with that.
Imagine Ash showing up as an adult...
...
It would mean EVERYONE is an adult, except maybe a few of the younger kids like Bonnie or Lana's sisters....
So much potential... For stories, adventures, r34....
Imagine if he’s still 10.

Seeing a childhood go was always a completly a tear maker if i may say so. But once they said, a one close door leads to a open one i guess. But i wish that they change the attack of the plot like the one that digimon ghost game did.
All those jokes we made about the curse being broken, we never thought they would be true. But in all seriousness in kinda excited for this, starting a new series with new characters gives them an interesting chance to introduce and flesh out new character dynamics
I remember watching the first episode of Pokemon when it came out in Germany 1999 on TV, it's been a journey. Got the Blue edition on Christmas that year as well, I don't think I'll get used to a new protag
I'm actually happy that Ash's journey is finally concluding... Since you know he did achieve his dream. (Sadly though I wished this happened during the xyz arc... Especially after the Allan fight since it was one of the highest point he has been)
Though, the question now is... Will team rocket (Jessie, James and Meowth) will appear on the new anime? Since they are tied to ash's journey
Ash can finally rest. his journey and struggles was a bit longer than One piece 😂
Congrats to those who still alive till this day to see ash journey ends and those who are passed i pray that able to see it.
His mother finally decides to turn off the devices.
My thoughts on this: "Why does everything I love leave me? 😢"
I feel the same but everything that has a beginning has an end, he will forever live in our hearts
Ash getting spirited away by THE Latias is very interesting.
Considering they wanted him to have the Alto Mare Eon from the movie.
I hope the finale episode shows Ash waking up from his coma
Honestly this is a good thing ash finally gets his happy ending it was overdue.
I hope that people don't compare Ash with the new ones and honestly i would love to see the new ones start their journey and wish them to be just as or more successful in the upcoming future.
I think the comparison will just be inevitable. Ash and Pikachu have basically defined the Pokémon anime. I really don’t have much faith that having new MCs now will keep the popularity of the anime as is. I think the new anime will start strong as fans will want to see what the new MCs are like. However, I doubt that will last long putting the Pokémon anime in a really tough position with an MC that fans are losing very fast interest in.
2 decades is a long time. Like watching a beloved pet pass away
It doesn’t matter if he’s gone as long as we keep his story and the lessons he taught us and teach them to the younger generations he shall forever live on see ya ash and pikachu and thank you🥺😢😭
My only hope for the new characters is that the writers don't make them boring or annoying or literally just like Ash. Please make the new anime good.
Ngl, I look forward to seeing Ash older on the series
Like, if it's on a school setting, him being called as a champion to help the newcomers training
FINALLY!
It took them like 20 years
Growing up watching this show from ash starting his journey and now it comes to a end I'm going cry know this be last time ash being the main character.
Suddenly, me finally going to watch the Pokémon Journey 3 seasons series has A LOT more weight now!
We are in the Pokemon GX times now.
Would every single one of his timelines meet up with each other? And they battle each other as that would be a great send off to be honest.
I haven't watched the whole of any season of the anime since Broke left the anime. I was only searching for the gym battles and championship tournament at the end of each season and watched it. I thought Ash's journey would never end but here we are. Here is another reason to accept I got old. This feels like to say farewell to someone very close to me when he is about to go far away for a long time. And this really sucks bro. I lost another piece from my childhood.
Ash will be in the Mr. Ball costume everywhere
