How to get the “Among the Living” GUITAR TONE - Scott Ian (Anthrax) - Bias Amp & Bias FX

- Using Bias Amp 2 and Bias FX 2, I show how to accurately get the guitar sound from Scott Ian and Dan Spitz (Anthrax) on the “Among the Living” album.
IMPORTANT 2023 UPDATE - Some users have reported they can't find my presets when searching Bias FX 2. This seems to be a glitch in their search system. To solve the issue, type in the search field "DMO -" (yes, just DMO followed by a space and hyphen) and choose "Sort by Popularity" in the drop-down beside the search field. You should see all of my presets.
Please note many users have taken my presets and created their own versions with similar names. To make sure you are downloading my original presets, my user name in Bias FX 2 is "Dan Oliv". Also, my original presets have a lot more downloads than the non-original versions.

. Bias Amp 2 and Bias FX 2 guitar modeling software - metal distortion and Mesa Boogie Mark IIc+ amp simulation with tone matching feature
. Line 6 UX-1 audio interface
. Reaper Digital Audio Workstation
. iMac with El Capitain OS
. Jackson King V KV2 guitar with original Floyd Rose tremolo and Seymour Duncan pickups

Can you do a How to get the Reinventing The Steel Pantera tone and/or New Found Power Damageplan tone?
Yes. But Cowboys From Hell will be coming before that... It's been difficult to get that tone, but I'm pretty close now.

Yeah and it always helps using the jackson guitar. That Scott Ian was always playing jackson v guitars.
Your playing is awesome and your guitar sounds outstanding! Are these Duncan Distortions or the JB/Jazz? Looking for pickups to nail that Anthrax tone and for some reason my JB won't do it
Thanks for the positive feedback. The pickups are SH-4 and TB-4. Active EMGs also work really well with my Bias FX presets. Most my Metallica tone videos, for example, are played with my BC Rich with active EMGs.

You know if there is something like that for amplitube 5?
I think you got as close as you can with that software, but it sounds a little trebly and thin compared to the original tone.

Definitely a great tone to consider. I've been working on and off on Somewhere in Time.
Persistence of Time would be a cool tone to clone.
I think Persistence of Time, State of Euphoria and Among the Living have a similar guitar tone to a certain extent. I'd say after Among the Living, Spreading the Disease is my favorite Anthrax guitar tone. Very unique and brutal sound.
Kinda sounds like the ride the lightning tone imo.
Same amps used on both albums.
Still sounds a little squeaky and "wet" or something. Not as dry and tight as the original. Very close though!
It's because of the reverb at the end of the chain. If you disable it, it will sound dry. I added it because of Efilnikufesin.
