That kid is livin the dream! As someone not much older than him (24) with a degree in a mathematical but not mechanical subject (Econ) it’s very heartening to see guys like him be into the hobby.
@@1Nanerz heck yeah....the paint stripper and brake fluid I go threw is unreal....I try not to buy athearn anymore and if I do it's at hobby shops that still have lots of kits....found a place in Tennessee that has more MDC than anything.
@@trainandtruckmodeler786 You can still find kits - if you're willing to do some hunting for them. Your local train store should have a few, and if not - they can probably tell you where and how to get them.
I wished we have model train stores like H-R Trains and toys here in Arizona, it be a lot of fun to see what is it like have one bigger store close to where I live.
Sorry. Zitnik, just down the street, is a much better train store. I question “Florida’s Largest.” It was at the old location. PLUS!!! There’s a 5,000 store in Cape Coral.. AND There is a 10,000 sqf train store opening in Port Charlotte. Same owner. Largest in the country…not just Florida.

Not anymore....everything is RTR and you need to remortgage your house....
@@trainandtruckmodeler786 valid point. I’ll take a resin kit over RTR any day.
