Jason your talent has been so very enjoyable. Believe it or not, we get as excited as you do everytime you pop up with a new idea. You have given pleasure to at least 30,000 people. No matter what happens you will always have that , can't be taken away. Thank Him every day for your great talent and your ability to share it. We all do. I actually use that "cocoon"paint and have gotten compliments on it and I didn't even weather or rust up anything yet. THANK YOU!!
Love this episode. It’s fun to tour your city. It reminds me of the Interbay-Ballard fishing district of old Seattle. I really can imagine families growing up there because my dad grew up among the wharves and docks of Puget Sound’s villages along the water. I guess all it needs in my mind to round out the Depression Era feeling of your beloved town, is to have some bright spots mixed within the gloom. The sun did shine there sometimes, even during hard times. Maybe a scene of kids fishing along a pier or swimming in a shady pool of non-industrial water. You will come up with something, Jason, because you’ve got everything else to make your town come alive!
I looked at your video to give me an idea of how to build a long bridge and view a master artist at work. You abilities and vision is so far above anything I have seen. Truely amazing!
Boy, did you give me some ideas not only for bridge abutments but also retaining walls ... and I just came home with 5 sheets of different thicknesses of pink foam from Home Depot!!! Thanks Jason!!
Yay! Bridge time! ;-) Love what you've done with the girder bridge. Looks better upside down as a support structure than it did the right way up! The thought process is so clear when you have the buildings ready to go in - not that you don't have hundreds still to build! Cheers
Jason,I hope you were having as much fun as I was. That was great! Man you can Doodle with the best dude. I learn so many little things from you,you are great.,Troy.
Jason, you're very talented, my friend. I've watched all your videos over the past few years and thought I had you all figured out... And then... You suprise us with a whole new side of you with your tablet of drawings/paintings... Truly an artist in the modeling scene. Keep it up 👍

Another fantastic episode, Jason! Your enthusiasm for what you do and the joy you display is seriously contagious. :) The new bridge section and groundwork with assorted scattered junk is a thing of beauty and so too is your sketchbook. Wow! I look forward to seeing your incredible layout continue to grow even more amazing with each new episode!
Quite AWESOME Jason! That bridge area is my favorite. Eye catching! And, everything flows so well to the next "scene"...so many railroaders forget about that aspect. Great job, again!
Yet another fantastic area of your layout. Your work is amazing as well as educational and inspiring. If my work turns out half as good I'll be over the moon. Coming to grips with planning, patience and persistence I have learned is the key to success with modelling. Thanks so much for sharing your work.
When you show your foam blocking in of a space I try to envision what I would do to it. I thought your bridge looked excellent and then you added the trash underneath it and it really took the realism to 11, awesome work as always!
wow do a great detailed video that is full super detail through the building of your detail layout as take all day just look very small detailed put into build of layout from Australia
Jason, I truly enjoy watching your artistic and creative work and I have picked up so much in my short period of time modeling and watching you…specifically for my O Scale layout. Your guidance helped me finish the corrugated roof on my engine shed that turned out just amazing. Thanks again! Your talents are amazing and cheers to a cup of coffee. Jim
Hi ya Jason. “ Let’s make a bridge “ AND SO MUCH MORE! The bridge build is just a sliver of all that went on in this update. The end result for that section is really stunning. Very exciting. I very much look forward to your next update. Off topic a bit. I would bet dollars to donuts that many of your loyal fans would love to purchase a limited edition print from “ Jason’s sketch book.” Just a thought. Take care. See ya next time.
Always great to hear from you Norman!!! Some day when I get a website built for the kits I hope to start selling I will have a section on it for my art prints. Not enough hours in the day, lol. But I’m working on it! 👍

Hello Jason Still a great decor, but in good French I'm not sure I'm eating oysters near so much trash, rubbish! I am amazed at how you turn old toys into brand new bridges!!! Keep save.
Dear Jason, You have done sooooo much to get me through tough times. You've taught me so much. I want to honor you by doing a Billboard to you on my layout. What I need is a "HO" size picture of you, or a way to produce that. Thank you for all the help, and support. Patrick Bashara.
Wow Jason, that was a lot of work. The fun kind of work! I really like how you remember how things look and translate that into your version, er, vision (both really!) of things and stuff and life. From your amazing buildings to the junk and weeds, everything exudes it's own character. Thank you for inspiring me to go the extra mile and make my layout really mine! PS: I can't wait to see a train cross that bridge!
Might as well comment on this, Chalk-finish paint, which is different from chalkboard paint, is a latex paint that has a fine powder added to the mix that creates a unique matte finish. The brushstrokes and imperfections become part of the unique look. Good video.
Wow, your sketches are great! The bridge came out awesome! It's going to be really neat to see as you build out the land for the buildings and blend it all together as you do so well.

I also see a mistake I’m making. I didn’t start with a darker base color. Just for info and update, I’ve separated my layout and built the shipping crate. Hello Jason, what you are doing is great and it looks very good. It's the kind of modelbuilding that i like! But: i am from a construction company and i am missing the concrete joints! The walls are much to long. And you can show in the old concrete walls some holes with rusty iron in it. May be you take a look to real concrete walls you will find lot's of joints, vertical and horizontal. Happy modeling, Manfred😉😀

Great bridge. I'd like to build one like it. Where did the components come from? Atlas or other?
Thank you so much Thomas!!! It may be from Atlas . I recommend searching on Walthers.com
For constant airflow I have two ceiling fans in my train room, and you do have a point constant airflow
I love the buildings! Have you tried splattering by blowing air onto the paint brush with an airbrush?
