Just had the best therapy session ever I thought I’d share with fellow anxiety sufferers. She said the reason my soothing techniques weren’t working is that I’m trying to calm an ocean of negative energy that needs to be released. She told me to take 15 min a day to journal. Then when negative emotions start to surface take it to a pillow. Scream, punch, kick, swear, rage against the injustices done to you until you’re completely exhausted. This has worked soooo well for me. I was desperately seeking Xanax before and now don’t even need it. Take every anxiety symptom as a toxic energy that needs to be released and go scream into a pillow. Best advice I’ve ever gotten.
O' wow I just got the same advice last week from my mental health support coordinator ✋️. I've been suppressing negative stuff most of my life, and I'm 63. It's such a fantastic relief 💯 20+ years in therapy and not one professional 🙄😠 had ever helped or mentioned this technique. I'm so grateful that now I can let it out. Feel sorry for my pillow 😂🤣
This is so true I’ve been doing this for over a year and at first I thought how weird this feels to scream in a pillow, but it helped me so much to handle the negative energy and release it from my body thank you so much for sharing 🙏🏼💜
I'm still in my journey. I can't help but feel like what I'm doing is not right or I'm not doing it correctly. Don't know exactly where I'm going wrong.
Thank you Dennis. Went to bed last night and woke up this morning with racing emotions of fear, uncertainty, and doubt. This video helped wring out all the negative emotions like a sponge only to see how much progress I have actually made. Hope this video helps you all as much as it did for me.
I am a new comer ..I just found your videos this morning and the affirmations and your meditation from 3 weeks ago are by far my favourites. Health Anxiety Misunderstanding was the first video I found...Letting go of control and playing the victim...that was huge for me. Thank you!
O' Dennis, thank you sooooo much for this " AMAZING " Affrimatins 💯 I absolutely love it 🥰 also love the background music 🎶 it's not to loud, or annoying high pitched electronic music. My absolute favourite. So hope that you and your family have a wonderful Christmas 🎄 and a very healthy and happy New Year 🙏💚☘️
Thank you!! May I make a suggestion: rather than say “in control” say “in charge”? I was raised in a very controlling environment where we were told to “be in control.” Thanks. Just an observation from a friend and supporter.

The lessons I've learned from Dennis played a key role in my recovery from an addiction of over two decades. Thanks brother
