The oil cake build up. Is that from the oil filte or power steering pump? How to tell if the seals have gone bad on pulleys?I own a 2004 jeep Liberty 3.7

Thank you it was a great video. I have a 2006 Jeep Liberty that sounded like a rod knock or a wrist pin was starting to go out. I just made it to work. When I thought i would just take it home i noticed a large puddle of fluid coming out of the front area, drivers side, I started it and the pully was ready to shake off and was making the rod knock sound. Thanks again

Thanks for such a great video! Do you have to change the pressure hose when changing the power steering pump? If recommended, why? Your insight would be appreciated.

So long as it is not damaged - I don't see why not. Most of the time when you replace a power steering pump you reuse the old pulley anyway.

Thank you for taking the time to film all the work you did to replace the power steering pump. Found the pulley puller information very valuable👍 I honestly didn’t know how the puller worked until you explained it🙂

If you reach in through the engine bay you can get the two bracket bolts with an electric or pneumatic ratchet and a deep socket.
