Hi did you notice any changes to the shape of your nose? I recently had jaw surgery a few weeks ago. I am still pretty swollen, but noticed my nose appears a lot bigger. I'm not sure if its from the swelling or if my nose will change due to the surgery.
Thank you for this. I had SARPE surgery last year and am currently wearing braces. Today I was told that I'd need orgnathic surgery in a year to bring my maxilla forward a little bit (horror! 😱), so it looks like this is going to take a lot longer than I expected, and a lot longer to be able to eat normally again. I have so many questions so just about to binge watch your videos!
Hopefully my videos will help. I'm actually in the works of doing an update video. So much has happened since I last posted. It was just too much for to post in the thick of it (mentally). I also want to do a Q & A video to help answer questions. After watching my videos, feel free to post a list of questions and I will make a video to try and answer them and others I get. If easier you can message me the questions on instagram @mamabear20052008
Think of a thick retainer. That is what it is like. I think they are bigger but it didn’t gag me like I thought it might. It just felt real bulky and annoying.
They moved my left jaw bone over too close to my teeth so it made a trench of sorts for food to get stuck. I thought they were going to move it but surgeon just shaved it down. I had a slight tongue tie so that got untied. While my airway got opened my tongue didn’t get moved enough out so surgeon moved my chin out a few millimeters so tongue would come forward more.
Thank you for the update.
