Rest! You should be sleeping a lot! Take it slow to take care of yourself. Read! I am always too busy to stop and read and wish for that time. I cannot stay awake due to fatigue after work and I cannot imagine a surgery too (in the diagnosis process for MS, ankylosing spondilitis or other autoimmune problem). Today I was sent home early from work and fell asleep shortly after.
Do not lift anything while you are healing! I had three different robot surgeries (gall bladder, hysterectomy, and then finished with both ovaries out) and my last one those holes were super itchy. Then I broke out from my chest down. Turns out I had developed an allergy (due to my crazy immune system) to the triple antibiotic used. So sometimes it is not infection (and because we thought it was we put on more triple antibiotic ointment after my stitches were taken out). Hugs and prayers for a quick recovery. Oh, I got my 72 year old Mom addicted to your shop with me videos. She loves you!

I'm so glad I found you. I too have MS. I had to have a total abdominal hysterectomy at 23. They took my ovaries and I can't ever take hormone replacement, so I literally woke up in menopause. It was an absolute nightmare to be honest, but things do get better. They said I had such a hard time because of my age and the fact that I couldn't use hormone replacement. Thank you so much for sharing. Keeping you in my thoughts! ♡

Hello, I am so glad this ordeal is over and I am praying God heals you and each day gets better. When you go through these trials it gives you an appreciation for the " little things" like no pain to relieve waste or urine from your body. I am sorry you have gone through so many health issues. You have a wonderful sense of humor and an honest and real way of explaining things. I know how hard it is to have to sit back when things need to be done or you desire to do something you enjoy but your body says NO. I will continue to pray for you and your family. Go bless you all. Thank you for the update.🙏🏻✝🌹❤️

Happy to hear your surgury went well. I was told after my hysterectomy to take 400 IU of Vitamin E daily to cut down "personal tropical vacations". I have taken it every day since 2004 and have only had one hot sweat. My nurse said the doctors don't necessarily believe so they don't let us know. I can say it seems to work for me but may not work for everyone. I understand what you mean about wanting to be outside..I am recouping from a car accident and have to stay inside, leg up, and iced. Sending prayers your way.

Glad all is well, I just had mine 2 weeks ago. I am so surprised, the stories I have herd made me nervous. Thank God, I didn't have any issues. Belly button was uncomfortable but , feel awsome and my Dr. was awsome, he even came in at 11:30 pm.
They kept me overnight as well, my surgery was almost 2 1/2 hours , because of my c-section the fallopian tube fused to my scar and I am a diabetic . I think it was easier for me because I had a room and room service 😂. He also started my patch the next day.
I hope you rest well and feel better. I will be praying for you. Thank you for sharing 🙏💖

So glad your surgery went well. It's really hard when your mind wants you to do something, but your body won't let you😐. Many years ago, I was a kidney donor for my brother and that surgery really knocked me for a loop. It really slowed me down for several weeks, of course, that was a major surgery. I couldn't shave my legs, I couldn't get out of bed by myself, I felt like an invalid. However, I have had a couple of outpatient surgeries that required laparoscopic incisions and the recovery is usually very fast, but the pain meds are an overkill.... I try to take just the ibuprofin so I won't be so groggy. You'll be up and around in no time, I'm sure. Attitude has a lot to do with recovery and you are strong. Of course, I know nothing about MS, and, as you are stating, that has it's own set of complications. I am hopeful that you will be up and around very soon so you won't miss out on your children's activities. BTW, for years, I have been eating a banana as my first thing in the morning and that keeps me very regular. I have no idea if that would work for you. Take care.

So glad you are feeling better. Years ago I had a cyst that they didn't know if it was cancer. It was practically bigger then my ovary which was causing constant pain so they removed my ovary. I have those scars you mentioned. I don't remember feeling too much pain after thank God but they did give me some pain meds (the good kind lol). I used to joke that I was gonna walk side ways because I only have one ovary. The scary thing after was that I was told to not lift anything heavy or my inside remaining would fall down (crazy i know but i was in my 20's so it was kinda freaky). Sending prayers your way. I can totally feel your pain being disabled ans living in constant pain due to major OA with added pain etc.. hugs and prayers. Keep taking it easy.♡♡.

I’m so happy that you’re home and slowly on the mend. I hope you can at least sit outside for short periods of time, that will make you feel good. I can sympathize with the being bound up from taking the narcotics. I have to take them for chronic pain, so I also take stool softeners. Please just rest, before you know it you’ll be back at it again! Sending prayers sweetie 🙏🏻

Please take as much time as you need. I had that surgery , and it took me sometime to feel like myself again. I also had C- sections 5 of them. I think C- sections were a lot easier then a hysterectomy .
So don’t rush. Let people do things for you . It takes longer then you think to recover.

I've also had 3 c sections and then a hysterectomy a year ago. I thought it was going to be a walk in the park compared to c sections. NOPE! It was worse. Idk if it was truly worse or if it was the lack of an adorable distraction. Rest up and go super slow. Even at week 4 when I felt good I would still get worn out easily

Hi Val, Glad your feeling better! You look great! Question did you have a total Hysterectomy? We're Hysty sisters.🤣 I had mine in 2003. But nothing what I thought it would be like. I had 1 vaginal birth and 2 C sections, so I thought ok had the sections, I kinda know what to expect. Nothing like a C section. Glad you didn't have to get cut. And also the consitpation was horrible. Lots happened unexpectedly too.... I'm glad it didn't throw you into another flair up with your MS. Please take it slow and rest. You've been thru alot in the last few months. Praying for a speedy recovery. TFS your update with us. Big Hugs Debbie ❤️
