@@nickhenley1338 This is why I hate the gaming community sometimes. It can be really toxic and has a lot of bandwagon hate and that in turn tells developers we don’t want anything new or well made but rather something predictable and familiar. The same thing happened with COD Infinite where it was hated so much with most people never touching it despite it having one of the best storylines and being the most unique in the frachise (and literally right after they just copied an old game (and are continuing to) and it did much better). The same thing happened with Pokemon where people keep saying they want the devs to make a higher quality game and mess with the formula more, but the thing is they already did in Black and White 1&2 and the games were terribly received despite being fantastically made, so why should they bother now when lazy ports (sorry “remasters”) of nostalgic games instantly top charts with no effort.

Well people still complained and the Ubisoft was like "well, we tried giving players something new, and they didn't like it. So we're going back to making the same game with different skins I guess?"

I liked FC:Primal a lot. I turned off all hud and really made it immersive. The only real issue I had was the enemy density in the world. You couldn’t go a few feet without running into a wolf pack or enemy tribe. Broke the feeling of being in unspoiled wilderness.
direct tail end of an ice age, it's less unspoiled wilderness and more groups of both people and animals fighting for control of one of the few places that can actually support them
I think the density was both to give you something to do, so you're not running around an empty landscape like Forespoken, and also to keep your mind on which tribe you're supposed to be suppressing. Once you take down one tribe or the other, they appear a lot less in the rest of the map.
This is definitely something that later FC games have struggled with, it feels like enemy spawns are like, 30-40% too high. The crazy battles lose their luster when they're happening every 45 seconds

Feels like they just cut out a lot of the fat and just laser-focused on the franchises unique elements, such as the dynamic fire, the outdoor stealth, and all the animal interactions. I especially love Survivor mode, which makes things a lot more balanced and interesting, and gets rid of all the intrusive HUD, making for a really immersive experience where you are constantly listening and looking for hidden predators, and I like how you are encouraged to go hunting in order to be able to fast travel. I absolutely loved this game and I don't even like Far Cry games. But you played it all weekend having a blast, wake up Monday morning and realize... There's litteraly nothing left to do. Seriously it was so easy to beat the game, make the best weapons, get the best animal companions, then you were just done lol. Way too short in my book. But a blast none the less.
With the success of Genndy Tartakovsky's 'Primal', Far Cry Primal is the perfect game to scratch that itch. As far as Ubisoft goes, this is actually the best Far Cry in my opinion, being such a radical departure from the formula in many ways. The beast taming mechanic is unreal fun, bordering on a pet sim, which, animals in games as companions is simply an amazing and underutilized mechanic. The story and narrative make sense for the time period, and the activities, side quests, and exploration all tie into this emergent history perfectly in terms of having a purpose. Protecting your people, growing your village, upgrading it, there's just so much this game does right. The Survival mode with no HUD is particularly engaging and captivating. Really just an excellent game and highly underrated. Utterly deserving of a sequel.
I never understood why people hated on this game so harshly when it came out sure Ubisoft sucks but this was one of the few games that actually felt like you were fighting against the world itself, and not just random goons of a Great Value™ Vaas at the end I love playing this right after Ancestors, really gets me in the oonga boonga mood, makes me wanna slap some rocks together or climb a tree
Its lack of guns guarantee it people love sound effects and bright colorful flashes of light people never really grow up in a sense that those thjngs will always catch our attention compaired to sticks flying across the screen

You the third person I seen say it's too short
That sucks i just started playing it today an man i was hoping it would be a super long game
This is the one far cry game I wanted a sequel for. Not more generic modern day stuff
20:44 break jaw, dislocate eye hahahaha man i love your commentary while you play
This game is awesome. One of my favorites for sure !
I loved far cry primal when I played it. Thought it was a great game!
You khow it's a good night when kevduit makes a vidoe
I never understood why people hated on this game so harshly when it came out
sure Ubisoft sucks but this was one of the few games that actually felt like you were fighting against the world itself, and not just random goons of a Great Value™ Vaas at the end
I love playing this right after Ancestors, really gets me in the oonga boonga mood, makes me wanna slap some rocks together or climb a tree
Its lack of guns guarantee it people love sound effects and bright colorful flashes of light people never really grow up in a sense that those thjngs will always catch our attention compaired to sticks flying across the screen
Played every far cry but the first and this by far is my favourite, something about getting to run around taming beasts yelling ooga booga just pleases the inner monkey inside
It's funny after playing this game I got so good with bows that I never used a sniper again 😂😂
I used a bow to take out a helicopter in 5 once, something about using a bow in games is just so satisfying.
@@joshholland8564 bows are really satisfying especially in the farcry games
I slept on this game when it came out but I bet it’s gonna be a banger once I finally get it soon
I loved this as a kid , you were really as powerfull as you believed you were
Bro are you twelve???
@@jamaaldagreatest2748 "Yeah twelve inches deep in your MOOOOM"
@@jamaaldagreatest2748 I don't see a reason why you'd think that?
@@Motivation_snack6668 The game came out within the past 6 years I believe meaning of they were a kid when they played it they would have to have been very young. Still the comment he made came off as mad aggressive and weird. For some reason people think kids aren't allowed to play games or smthn lol
@@Peanuggie the game has nudity and Udam fucking 🫢
12:52 360 no spear hahahaha, man im glad i found your channel i love how you are one with the game
I went back to this game after all these years and actually got the platinum trophy yesterday. I f-ing love this game.
I got two more trophies before i get the platinum
The shadow of war music... awesome
We want far cry primal 2🥺 who's with me ?
Jurassic park x far cry primal yes👍
That moment you get to ride a sabertooth made me giggle sinisterly and take a trip to the nearest enemy camp with my new kitty.
Primal was my favorite game in the entire series.
This is my second favorite game just after Skyrim. I love far cry primal.
They killed my spirit animal, rest easy uwuuuu 😂😂 I subscribed just for that
Kevduit: sets bear on fire
Bear: DARK PHOENIX RISES!
The spear is so satisfying to throw at people I swear
The perfect Band-Aid Leaf thing you really got me on the floor😂😂🤣🤣🤣
Kev really invented so much of what we enjoy in life and video games today... Also I loved seeing the African Wild Dog in what can only be pre-historic North America (or maybe Iceland or Greenland) (5:40)... good one Ubisoft Montreal...
Devs confirmed its in Pre-Historic Europe actually.
@memequeenasteria6460 That makes sense too.
Farcry primal is one of the best games ever in my opinion
first game I archieved platinium on, Thats how much I enjoyed it
For some reason alex playing as a Caveman just tracks...when he starts the grunting sounds it’s almost perfect
I remember this game as being an accidental Assassin's Creed game. Like it fits into the AC universe flawlessly.
now we just need a medieval far cry
“You need a little more health there don’t you buckaroo?” Had me dying 😂😂
We're going back in time to the first FarCry to take FarCry off the menu...
That's right, We're going back in time to the first FarCry to take FarCry off the menu.
Far Cry Primal is a underrated gem, such a fresh game, loved the prehistoric setting, even after finishing the game, still love exploring the world for hours, riding on a sabertooth or Mammoth is always fun 🙌🦣
My guy saying "360° No Spear!" then throwing a spear to the head is the funniest shit I've seen I'm dying 🤣🤣
Just got it myself, its repetitive already but i still love it!
