Great to see you back! I LOVE the Ethereal Eyes palette and waited and waited for it to come back.

I got the Danessa light works & was so happy when I got it. The part I love about it is the layering shades at the bottom- I’ve been binging multi-chrome vids & a) it’s so hard to pick out which singles to get, b) I realize pretty quickly that a lot of shadows are the same few multichrome pigment mix is similar just over diff bases. And I don’t a full face eye look often enough to justify spending a ton to figure out my faces. So this light works was perfect for me to play and have multiple options because of being able to layer the sheer multichromes over the diff base shades.
I mentioned them already on your other hall vid but the Phytosurgence eye shadows are amazing- esp for “adult” easy looks. The dry cream formula just lasts & lasts,even in the waterline & there’s some beautiful taupey shades. And they also have some absolutely gorgeous dimensional toppers.
And Aurics duos are also gorgeous- there’s a cranberry with a duo-topper that sounds right up your daughter’s alley!
And a random but drugstore favourite is the Revlon 5 pan palettes- they’re soft & buildable, the mattes are almost a soft satin. the kind of shadow you can throw in your purse & use fingers to do a quick 2/3 shadow look. Each palette has duochrome or sparkle shimmer that have that “grownup” feel. I’ve seen some reviews that weren’t great and others that call them the closest drugstore gets to the Tom Ford-type formula. I have some gorgeous palettes & single shadows & those Revlon palettes are a staple & some of my most used every day just bcuz they’re so easy, they work, they’re pretty & great for travel. They each have a light shade & deepening shade & a pretty/unique shade. I can’t believe i just went on about these so much 😂

I've always loved the tutorial style videos and you're so knowledgeable so I'm here for it! I'd love to see a how many looks with the I Need A Nude palette. I'm also interested in hearing more about makeup artist owned brands in general from your perspective. I haven't given Makeup by Mario a chance and you might have swayed me :)

Great timing for me Whitney, I just declutterred very old eyeshadow palettes when I found that no matter how I blended, it just looked terrible. And then I proceeded to declutter all make up. So, on a slow buy and your new makeup hauls will be awesome for me. Admittedly I am on a budget so Drugstore prices are where I will be looking.
I love Kbeauty palettes for more affordable options...they are just light years ahead of us

I'm big into drugstore.... There is plenty, plenty make up that works just as well as high end or luxury and sometimes it even is the same product from the same labs 😂 just different packaging. And obviously plenty trashy expensive make up.

7 months later all of this still holds up, and you made me feel better about missing out on Ethereal Eyes since I have and LOVE I Need A Nude, it’s probably my all-time favorite palette, 2nd runner up is Mario’s Master Matte Neutrals since I’m completely cool-toned. Keep up the great work!
I'm a cool toned gal as warm tones have the habit of turning orange & not a good look. I have the Stone Cold Fox ColourPop palette but sadly many shades are warm toned [irritating as all get out]. Am SOOO over that red/pink eye look going around & truly cannot stand it.
I got that palette but I felt like the shadows were super dusty…like using cake flour or something if that makes sense

I have (and love) the ethereal eyes and NDGlam. Would love to see multiple looks making use of those palettes. Also, maybe if you use the ND I need a nude you could cross reference palettes for those following along with different palettes.

So glad you’re back! I was waiting for the makeup by Mario ethereal palette to come back in stock when ND’s I need a nude came out and I’m so glad I waited. The ND nude palette is the neutral palette of my dreams and what I wanted the glam palette to be. I still love that one but I need a nude is perfection (I’m blonde and fair). I have a danessa myricks palette but it’s one of her mini light works palettes and you’re right, she must have made a deal with someone because those shadows are other worldly!

100% agree that the focus should be ‘staples’ when it comes to makeup - i rarely buy gimmicks ever - when my makeup expires i research the heck out of the product and i know what i want/like/suits me - i don’t fall for any influencers either especially when they are sponsored etc as i feel their is a reason they promote is for their own purpose - (money/free stuff )and it’s mainly bullshit - i have select few people who i would listen to and i like the way you review and call out the bullshit too ❤ would be interesting to see video on which products you personally recommend as your own staples atm
