    You two have such a lovely rapport. I've been married 42 years this year and I feel my husband and I are similar. He has been so incredible, building me an art studio. I have a lot of buttons to put up as decor, so I would love to do something like this with buttons for my wall. I promise to share it with you. Thank you so much for all your amazing techniques and tips. I love your tutorials.

    My folding space back in the day was the back of the couch. I would call the kids to get their laundry and if they didn’t put it away with some semblance of organization, I would dump their drawers on the bedroom floor for them to do again. Yes, I was a hard-a$$. The kids hated laundry day, but the are very organized some 25-30 years later. LOL Today it’s a different solitary as we are empty-nesters. I don’t mind washing and folding, it’s putting it away that is the challenge. Especially since most of the laundry is drip-dry. It can drop well beyond its drying time. LOL

    You two are so funny. I love the friendship you have as a married couple. My husband and I both work from home, so it's important to have that friendship! Mark is a very funny moderator and Angela the very talented artist. I tried painting this and I got frustrated because I was using way too much paint. So I decided to paint it as impressionist style. I may try to paint it again and do realism. I'll see if my patience holds out. lol

    When Mark told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will use metallic paint as a base of the object I want to be metallic to remind myself later leave some of it showing for a glow. But as it will not last as long as regular colors I rarely use it unless I do the whole painting with it then it gets exciting. to think about like glowing butterfly wings in Costa Rica they shine in any light!

    much amazing.. Im seeing an effect on the threads of the gold spool in the small image displayed above, is that something you added to the painting after the video or as it a natural phenomenon from when the picture of the painting was edited to enhance the colors?

    • @thankfulart
      @thankfulart  4 роки тому

      Just a trick of the light. No fancy editing. If you get the contrast right your mind fills in the gaps and makes something flat look round and shiny. Painting is kind of magic that way.

    I learn more from you just watching you as you concentrate on your piece.
    I feel most art teachers who give students time to observe and maybe use simple words to relate to I learn more from instead of a blow by blow. I loke you work very much but hope you are not offended
