- I've wanted to do this for years. Finally had to time to give it a go! It's not perfect but then again it's Meshuggah....
It's been awesome to get back into drumming again. I've really enjoyed smashing this one out!

@@SwedeSpeeder to be fair, it *looks* like one of Meshuggah's easiest songs (disclaimer, I'm not a drummer). No double bass polymetric madness. I'll be really impressed if he does Clockworks...
@@richardharrold9736 its not true for most drummers, i mean natural drummers not music students, keeping time in a groove in a slow song is harder than a blast beat or fast double bass(preferences, different skill sets) so this is one of the grooviest songs and if you arent a good drummer that is impossible to put life to.. yet when you are an allrounder and capable of both extremes, groove and speed, or technicallities like , which is actually more like a talent for sports, finger control and foot or better leg control, this can be called "easier" for the rest, nope.

Started on drums then moved to guitar after a knee injury from skateboarding
Yeah he used to play drums A LOT but he injured his knee I think? Couldn't drum properly without being in pain. He later had a surgery to sort that out and has since then, been putting more time back into drums

Absolutely awesome cover, Meshuggah drums are insane but you killed it! Just saw Meshuggah live for the first time last week, I cannot put into words how crushing their live shows are, really just feels like you're being destroyed by an unstoppable deity beyond your puny human comprehension, what an experience! I will never miss another occasion to see them again

@@aidamhruska120 One of the friends I was going with was coming mostly for the opening band (Gorod, awesome band as well definitely recommend checking em out), and the entire time before Meshuggah played he was making sarcastic comments and bragging about not giving a shit about them... And then ended up completely speechless after the show lmao, said they're like magicians but even after explaining the trick to you you still have no idea how they do it lmao
TBH this didn't look like that hard of a Meshuggah song on drums, but it's still cool to see you playing drums. Learning multiple instruments is good for your brain.
It’s their easiest song. But the challenge is remembering the kick pattern variations as there are tons on this song. Plus I made it look easy right?

When you played archetype morello on the electronic drums I thought that was impressive and then you do THIS, just wow.
You are probably the only open handed drum player I know of (I also drum open handed, although nowhere near as well). I always had trouble playing other people's kits because of this quirk due to the ride placement. Great cover, as expected.
Man it really shouldn't, but this song still surprises me just how good it is!

@@treverpittsI didn’t actually really learn much there. Nor did I really go. I met Rob in the first year and Hannah in the second, so I kinda barely ever went hahaha. Not saying that’s a good thing, but college for me was a ‘be in the right place’ move, not to get better at music
Just being around people that are like minded and have the same love for music would be the best part of music school. Few and far between here in Ky.
