    Just finished making this!! It’s my first ever knit ANYTHING! I’ve been crocheting for almost 40 years, but this is the first time I’ve ever made myself sit down and really give knitting a try, and even though a made a crap ton of mistakes, I’m so glad I did it! And now I have my first ever knitted sweater. ❤️❤️

    🔅front panel
    7:35 8 rows (9 if counting cast on) 1x1 ribbing
    8:25 knit all 50 sts onto bigger needle
    9:15 stockinette *(R1k, R2P) until reach bottom of underarms or basically bottom of bust to make sleeves baggy, she did 26 rows *i did 28
    10:54 stitch marker on last stitch of both ends to indicate connecting w the back panel and where the sleeves will be connected
    11:58 however many more rows of stockinette to reach below of armpit to top of shoulders, she did 26 more rows
    13:10 cast off
    🔅make another for back panel
    🔅sleeves
    14:30 cast one 28 sts, 8 rows of 1x1 ribbing
    15:50 45 rows of stockinette, do five more rows or however desired to get a longer/baggier sleeve
    🔆 math for connecting sleeve & panels
    17:00 28/2= 14 on one side, then count up through side of sleeve to reach 26, stitch marker both ends of sleeve panel on the stitch u ended 26 in
    🔅seaming
    19:26 (purl side of work facing up) sc up to stitch marker
    sleeve to shoulder, sc 5 or 8 depending on how much off the shoulder

    A very well made video. I loved your trick on the sleeve count without having to create increases. I very much understood everything and look forward to trying it all out. You look beautiful and your work is divine. I also like your soft spoken voice. Have a fab day and once again. THANKYOU😘😘

    im a little confused 😅 did you make a back panel as well? or is it just one piece for the entire body of the sweater?

  • @lieseanartista
    @lieseanartista 4 дні тому

    How do you make the sweater longer, I'm 5'7".

    • @BreSellsSeaShells
      @BreSellsSeaShells  4 дні тому

      @@lieseanartista I’m also about 5’8”! But if you want it longer, you can just make each panel with additional rows (make sure to do the same number of rows for each panel) x✨

  • @lieseanartista
    @lieseanartista 3 дні тому

    For 26 rows of stockinette stitching, is 1 row considered (1 row knit and 1 row purl), or would those two rows be considered 2 rows?

  • @lieseanartista
    @lieseanartista 4 дні тому

    I just started this, I'm on row 4 and everytime I count I have picked up another 1 or 2 stitches. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. But I'm going to start all over. Do you know why this would be?????

    • @BreSellsSeaShells
      @BreSellsSeaShells  3 дні тому

      @@lieseanartista hmm not sure. Perhaps adding an extra yarn over somewhere? Sometimes the first and last stitch can be tricky

    • @BreSellsSeaShells
      @BreSellsSeaShells  5 років тому +2

      DIYANGELUK I ended up using a little less than 340 grams or 622 yards. But I always like to get more yarn than I need, just in case I mess up 👌🏽

    • @BreSellsSeaShells

      Zaquanna Moore the first few rows are a ribbing, (so the bottom will be stretchy), so yes the rows after that will look different.
