funny thing about braver bow is you can turn yourself into a tank class, thanks to the almost 1 second from counter, which make movement almost useless
A few things I noticed about each weapon and are worth talking. Katana: 1 - Fearless Attitude probably could use a damage buff but it recovers a LOT of PP. Using this properly can help your DPS, but it's hard. 2 - Sidestep counter is very powerful on Katana. Likely more useful than parry counter. 3 - Foursis Katana is very powerful with Breakfall recovery gain. You can reduce almost all the damage you take in case you get launched and recover it right back up. 4 - Katana has very little mobility. It was probably meant to be used in tandem with bow: in case a boss moves away you switch weapons and use the bow until you get back into melee range, but if you don't want to, all you have to do is multiweapon into Wired Lance and use its WA. You don't have to be Hunter for this. Bow: 1 - You didn't mention it but using WA while holding a direction right after releasing a PA fires off a quick shot which recovers PP and deals OK damage. 2 Charge Flex Arrows into WA is a good DPS rotation, I found, which drains your PP slowly. If you don't hold a direction you'll instead use your WA dodge. 2 - Bow WA counter is your best DPS by far. Try to trigger it as many times as possible. 3 - Charging PAs doesn't grant you Slow Fall. I think this is per design. Sidestepping bosses is done by using uncharged PAs + WA sidestep. You can stay indefinitely in the air with Uncharged Flex + WA or basic attack like this, pretty much. 4 - Uncharged Flex Arrow has great tracking. Charged Flex Arrow does not. If an enemy is mobile, prefer Uncharged Flex, even if DPS is lower. 5 - Supercharged Flex Arrow is great for spike damage and piercing through enemies. Not much outside of this situation since it's risky. You can also start charging it just before a boss goes into a down phase if you can somehow call it or see the gauge lowering. It feels great to use Supercharge Flex into Brave Combat finisher into Photon Blast on a Break phase, too. 6 - Photon Dash Shot pierces through enemies and recovers PP for each, and Basic Attack's Charged Shot has a small explosion, also recovering PP for each. With bunched up enemies, it can deal a lot of damage and refill your PP right up. 7 - You can use OTS targeting to explode Frenzied Fireworks in the middle of an enemy pack manually to hit as many targets as possible by aiming at the ground. Don't forget that pressing a direction while using silverleaf storm can reposition you or be a gap closer. But you need to be locked on to a target though

The rotations I usually use are: Silverleaf Storm > Silverleaf Storm > Lotus Lightning - when I need more mobility and gap closer, also has a good PP efficiency Lotus Lightning > Silverleaf Storm > Lotus Lightning - takes the highest damage instances of each PA and has good PP efficiency Silverleaf Storm > Iris Gale > Iris Gale - for AoE And for high burst damage only spam Lotus Lightning when in Braver Combat, or when the Boss is down.

I use the same katana rotation except I end it with braver combat for a finishing burst and to recover some PP. Also I know you didn’t get into multi weapons but daggers and saber synergizes super well due to the mobility from daggers and the extra dps from sabers whirlwinds
I already had a Foursis WL with Fixa Termina lv2 so I multiweaponed it with a Katana and let me tell you its super fun. helps to pin down enemies that like to flee. It's now my highest attack power weapon. Also, thanks to Foursis barrier Alts Secreta II got slapped on here. I need more stuff that lowers my HP and gives more attack power.
I can add something for mobbing, Storm + Gale S2 + Gale S3. PP efficient and can clear mobs better. Should net you 2 rotations or less with 100PP. When you activate Brave Combat, go ahead and just spam Lotus Lightning to fill up your final bonus :D Usually nets me around 77 PP refill after finisher skill.
Hey kuya! Is it worth investing on theseus fixa 5 instead of spending a ton of money on fixa vialto bow? Are u able to do a damage comparison on the bow and katana series? Also would like to know what to multiweap it with and what fixa I should buy. Thanks in advance 😁
For the current end-game? Of course! The gap between Theseus vs Vialto isn't that much. Vialto's greatest perk is prolonged DPS rotations and slightly bigger damage. It's a lot more noticeable with Straga because of the huge potency boost when potential is unlocked :D If you're going for Theseus, make sure it's fixa fatale 3-5. 5 Would always be better for maximum efficiency but 3 is fine as well. Vialto and Straga Attack 1 is also good na :D We're cooking up a video for that as we speak! Stay tuned! :D
Danm boi. Nice video, very useful informativos and very well explained. Keep up this good work. I just think that the DPS of the Bow is kinda low compared to Ranger. I'm in doubt between Braver or Fighter.
If it's numbers you're after, Fighter will always be the way to go. Braver's more of a niche option at the moment, but it's really fun to use! Personally, I'd stick with BR for now until Jet boots comes out for kung-fu madness XD
One thing to note about Braver is that it is a micro-heavy class compared to all other classes. On top of managing your PP (which you can easily burn a lot of), you also have to manage your weapon-specific mechanics with katana's PA combos + timing perfect counters and the bow's dimensional arrow charges + elusions, as well as keep track of your brave combat time so that you maximize your dps and not miss using the big attack at the last second. And if you have a resurgir weapon, you also have to keep uptime on your crit rate buff. It will be harder to master compared to other classes, but mastering braver will reward you handsomely with very high dps coupled with little damage taken.
Definitely the reason why we're enjoying it! I like how challenging it is to master and I've always been a fan of fast paced classes like fighter. keeps the adrenaline going
Usually around a week if it's super casual, but that was when NGS released. With the new updates coming in, we'd say about 3-4 days (UQ exp is bonkers now compared to before)
BTW, worth to mention that there's no 3* options for Katana/Bow multiweapon since Katana is in Trois De series while bow is in Theseus for whatever reason. So, either buy Tzvia or farm for Resurgir / Straga since prices are obnoxious enough even for Tzvia weapons.
@@Twofix Well, that's the "free" market for you. Insanely high demand + ridiculously low supply and that's where you end up. And that's largely SEGA's fault since F2P players can't sell anything, thus only fraction of players can sell while everyone want to buy. Without this prices would drop to the reasonable values a lot faster.
i would do 5 on cycle and 3 on final bonus bth so instead of i got 3 time recover 100% PP, i got 5 time recover 60% PP. my PP is not always deplete so everything that go pass that 100% is a waste. i would rather get 2 more sweet burst
@@WitcreamMedia xD u dont need t have a 4* performa unit tho. Just grab 3 2* with fixa lvl 4 or 5 performa then limit break them. It cost only 70k but the enhance cost is much much much cheaper (150k~200k a piece compare to 488k 4*). U get a bit less defend but much more easier to Manage ur PP
@@WitcreamMedia also multi weapon with a wire lance help a lot with PP manangement because wire lance normal atk recover alot of PP. Especially when sub with hunter. Hunter has hunter avenge can block with PA and wire lance also can block with WA, but everytime u block, u trigger mighty guard from braver. Which mean less damage and less PP consumption (solve 3 katana problem: lack chasing, squishy and PP drain)
I like the counter system it's different, not like base but I like it, iris gale is good for mobbing, and the other PA (forgot the name) is good for Bossing! I get what they were doing, at the same time, I understand what braver mains say it's underwhelming, but I'm not going on a witch hunt about it, (Luster Main) I'll take it for what it is, I like the class enough to stick with it until gunblade comes out.
Also, if you are going to use katana you need to be more precise when you play as besides the PP consumption, you can't just go guard anywhere you like as it only blocks the front. It's better that you fight in the front of the enemy especially if it has spinning attacks as it might go thru if you are in the wrong position when you try and block. It's fun to use but you should be careful at the same time unlike fighter that has 360 guard.
@@WitcreamMedia Yeah, I love the risk involve in using braver now. Unlike fighter where there are minimal risks involve when fighting. Love both classes but I'll try to practice braver more.
You really do more damage with the "Trois De" branch than with the "resurgence" branch, seeing the bonus that the first branch gives which is critical in base, made me think which one is the best in DPS but I can't find data about this.
+40, Level 1 Pot and Level 5 Fixa Fatale Resurg vs Trois has a very small difference in average DPS. Around 5-6 damage with Trois costing far more less than needed be.
I've been curious as to exactly what the DPS falloff between the Charged and Super charged arrow. The numbers that the super charged arrow come up with are just too hard for me to ignore without the good math. A normal PA showing 4K damage to a broken Nox Aellio is REALLY REALLY hard to resist. Especially since I see the charged arrow doing about 1/3 of that damage. Can I really get more Ommph spamming the charge arrow instead of going for the super charge inside of a safe DPS window?
It's not really much, Supercharged has 224 potency DPS while charged has 286. The damage is just 60+ but I reckon having one supercharged finisher just before the boss gets back up would be the perfect rotation for it since you'll eventually run out of PP
So for bow, the charged shot actually deals more dmg than supercharged in terms of DPS? I can't believe that, the dmg of charged is like 1/3 of supercharged, and it definitely takes more time to charge 3 charged than one supercharged
So basically the format goes like this: (@60 frames / second) Charged: Frames: 86 Potency: 410 Supercharged: Frames: 289 Potency: 1080 Formula is basically (Potency / Frames) * 60 = Value Charged: 286.0465116 Supercharged: 224.2214533 It's not a huge gap, but it's noticeable for the most part. Besides, even if supercharged has low DPS, it's still better to look at. Also, maverichz is right, it's tough to use when the aggro is on you :D
Just a question regarding the "parry at the start of the animation". Is that the class skill "after" PA or its the start of every Lotus Lightning? I tried parrying every attack during lotus and it doesn't work.
A nice sub would also be TD. It's what I'm currently using and man, the agility is bonkers XD Just need the parry and ripper to get to vertical targets

I did a fighter/braver so I could have access to Overload and Braver Combat for boss downs with a bow, and the lvl 2 charge on Flex Arrow makes it hit like a 'railgun'. I like the bow better than the katana, because I prefer ranged combat, I am hoping to get a Fixa Fatale lvl 3-4 for more crits. I just wish the bow could bet better at mobbing, because PSE Bursts can go apeshit very often

That's a great question! In theory and basing it off in the skill description, It should increase the healing done if it's a TE main and BR sub. The only key info that really needs clarity is if the resta field heals for the same amount as what the TE gets. Kinda risky though ._.
I hope Bouncer is a better tech class than Techter(You're just gonna bonk anyway) and Force. I'd like to survive a hit for once. Bow is just an utter pain in the brain to deal with, so I choose Katana.

Force and Fighter are pretty much universal subclasses for any other class as it seems. You pretty much can't go wrong with them. The only issue is when you are F2P and want to use Fo both as main class and as a subclass. Shame there's no F2P option to add 1 skill tree for a few classes.
Just use a second character for your alternative build, i know it's a bit of a pain making the whole story again but trust me, it doesn't take too much if you speed run through it. Also there are some benefits like additional reset tree passes.
@@DimitriKatsuro I know, I have 2 extra characters to collect these passes. It's just annoying to swap them around. I do understand that Sega want to make money, but I don't think that making life of F2P players as discomfortable as possible is the right way to do this. This is not even the worst thing they locked behind a paywall. The biggest offender so far is access to the selling items on the market.
I was delighted with the Braver, the bow is amazing, it fits my style of play. My rotation for the Break, for now, is as follows: Brave Combat + Dimensional Ray charged + Dimensional Ray + Bow Elusion Counter (weapon action) + Flex Arrow charged to level 3 (I know the video said it was losing DPS but I like big numbers) + Photon Blast + Brave Combat. Amazing how much damage can be done, I chose Vialto Bow and Force subclass.
Awesome rotation man! I mean heck, DPS values aren't really important unless you want to do time attack. As long as you're enjoying the visuals, and feels great to use, that's a 10/10 for us!

@@Jason-ip6wq Theirs no problem with that really that main problem is the fact their isn't any gap closer PA like in base PSO2 mistreaver you can't do a fast rush gameplay on BR anymore, what they did in NGS BR is literally made it as a counter type class with PA that has long animations etc on a game where everything moves fast etc so it BR kinda is clunky as if you're playing a Fi Fist but removing the big damage what made the fist worth using, add salt to the wound every Melee has gap closer PA's (except for spear? if im right) BR also has one but its so minimal and PA consuming. They pretty much copied what made Vergil popular sheathes every strike plus his cool looking skills, forgetting his teleporting BS.
Honestly, just jump on it and experiment. When you start to feel like you're playing "incorrectly" or that you can be doing more, come back to guides like this and pick up bits and pieces to put together as you play around. That's the best way you can learn it stress free imo, and thankfully there's no pressure to play the best in the current content. As long as you're hitting the enemies and you aren't dying over and over and over again, you're fine. Also, sick Rav art.

Fighter is still home for me but the unique mechanics are good enough for a fresh experience! Don't friendzone this class just yet! XD

I honestly wished Lotus Lightning's range would be longer. Sega's official braver katana showcase made it seems much, MUCH longer than it really is

I was lucky enough to get a foursis katana drop earlier with fixa attack 3 on it, so I MW it with a WL ready to go when I hit lvl14 👍😉

I can add something for mobbing, Storm + Gale S2 + Gale S3. PP efficient and can clear mobs better. Should net you 2 rotations or less with 100PP. When you activate Brave Combat, go ahead and just spam Lotus Lightning to fill up your final bonus :D Usually nets me around 77 PP refill after finisher skill.
Hey kuya! Is it worth investing on theseus fixa 5 instead of spending a ton of money on fixa vialto bow? Are u able to do a damage comparison on the bow and katana series? Also would like to know what to multiweap it with and what fixa I should buy. Thanks in advance 😁
For the current end-game? Of course! The gap between Theseus vs Vialto isn't that much. Vialto's greatest perk is prolonged DPS rotations and slightly bigger damage. It's a lot more noticeable with Straga because of the huge potency boost when potential is unlocked :D
If you're going for Theseus, make sure it's fixa fatale 3-5. 5 Would always be better for maximum efficiency but 3 is fine as well. Vialto and Straga Attack 1 is also good na :D

Danm boi. Nice video, very useful informativos and very well explained. Keep up this good work. I just think that the DPS of the Bow is kinda low compared to Ranger. I'm in doubt between Braver or Fighter.
If it's numbers you're after, Fighter will always be the way to go. Braver's more of a niche option at the moment, but it's really fun to use! Personally, I'd stick with BR for now until Jet boots comes out for kung-fu madness XD
One thing to note about Braver is that it is a micro-heavy class compared to all other classes. On top of managing your PP (which you can easily burn a lot of), you also have to manage your weapon-specific mechanics with katana's PA combos + timing perfect counters and the bow's dimensional arrow charges + elusions, as well as keep track of your brave combat time so that you maximize your dps and not miss using the big attack at the last second. And if you have a resurgir weapon, you also have to keep uptime on your crit rate buff. It will be harder to master compared to other classes, but mastering braver will reward you handsomely with very high dps coupled with little damage taken.
Definitely the reason why we're enjoying it! I like how challenging it is to master and I've always been a fan of fast paced classes like fighter. keeps the adrenaline going

Usually around a week if it's super casual, but that was when NGS released. With the new updates coming in, we'd say about 3-4 days (UQ exp is bonkers now compared to before)

BTW, worth to mention that there's no 3* options for Katana/Bow multiweapon since Katana is in Trois De series while bow is in Theseus for whatever reason. So, either buy Tzvia or farm for Resurgir / Straga since prices are obnoxious enough even for Tzvia weapons.
I can't believe that basic Resurgir Bow sells for 900k+ yesterday on Ship 2.
Ceimash is thinking of BR/GU with Theseus or RA/BR for blights + DPS. The prices will eventually go down
@@Twofix Well, that's the "free" market for you. Insanely high demand + ridiculously low supply and that's where you end up. And that's largely SEGA's fault since F2P players can't sell anything, thus only fraction of players can sell while everyone want to buy. Without this prices would drop to the reasonable values a lot faster.

Just jacked my Trois De to +32 now with level 1 pot XD I'm really getting a hang of it HAHAHAHAH
i would do 5 on cycle and 3 on final bonus bth so instead of i got 3 time recover 100% PP, i got 5 time recover 60% PP. my PP is not always deplete so everything that go pass that 100% is a waste. i would rather get 2 more sweet burst
@@WitcreamMedia xD u dont need t have a 4* performa unit tho. Just grab 3 2* with fixa lvl 4 or 5 performa then limit break them. It cost only 70k but the enhance cost is much much much cheaper (150k~200k a piece compare to 488k 4*). U get a bit less defend but much more easier to Manage ur PP
@@WitcreamMedia also multi weapon with a wire lance help a lot with PP manangement because wire lance normal atk recover alot of PP. Especially when sub with hunter. Hunter has hunter avenge can block with PA and wire lance also can block with WA, but everytime u block, u trigger mighty guard from braver. Which mean less damage and less PP consumption (solve 3 katana problem: lack chasing, squishy and PP drain)
I like the counter system it's different, not like base but I like it, iris gale is good for mobbing, and the other PA (forgot the name) is good for Bossing! I get what they were doing, at the same time, I understand what braver mains say it's underwhelming, but I'm not going on a witch hunt about it, (Luster Main) I'll take it for what it is, I like the class enough to stick with it until gunblade comes out.
It's got the basic tools for the current patch so yeah, absolutely fine for what it is! Just hoping it will ramp up in future patches! :D
Also, if you are going to use katana you need to be more precise when you play as besides the PP consumption, you can't just go guard anywhere you like as it only blocks the front. It's better that you fight in the front of the enemy especially if it has spinning attacks as it might go thru if you are in the wrong position when you try and block. It's fun to use but you should be careful at the same time unlike fighter that has 360 guard.
Which arguably makes it more fun to play, especially to people that love a challenge. A waste of restasigne when you're still new though ahahahahha
@@WitcreamMedia Yeah, I love the risk involve in using braver now. Unlike fighter where there are minimal risks involve when fighting. Love both classes but I'll try to practice braver more.
You really do more damage with the "Trois De" branch than with the "resurgence" branch, seeing the bonus that the first branch gives which is critical in base, made me think which one is the best in DPS but I can't find data about this.
+40, Level 1 Pot and Level 5 Fixa Fatale Resurg vs Trois has a very small difference in average DPS. Around 5-6 damage with Trois costing far more less than needed be.
I've been curious as to exactly what the DPS falloff between the Charged and Super charged arrow. The numbers that the super charged arrow come up with are just too hard for me to ignore without the good math. A normal PA showing 4K damage to a broken Nox Aellio is REALLY REALLY hard to resist. Especially since I see the charged arrow doing about 1/3 of that damage. Can I really get more Ommph spamming the charge arrow instead of going for the super charge inside of a safe DPS window?
It's not really much, Supercharged has 224 potency DPS while charged has 286. The damage is just 60+ but I reckon having one supercharged finisher just before the boss gets back up would be the perfect rotation for it since you'll eventually run out of PP
So for bow, the charged shot actually deals more dmg than supercharged in terms of DPS? I can't believe that, the dmg of charged is like 1/3 of supercharged, and it definitely takes more time to charge 3 charged than one supercharged
This, i also tested myself, supercharged deal more dps vs charged flex + wa. But supercharged is tough to use in 1 vs 1 situation

Formula is basically (Potency / Frames) * 60 = Value
Charged: 286.0465116
Supercharged: 224.2214533
It's not a huge gap, but it's noticeable for the most part. Besides, even if supercharged has low DPS, it's still better to look at. Also, maverichz is right, it's tough to use when the aggro is on you :D
Just a question regarding the "parry at the start of the animation". Is that the class skill "after" PA or its the start of every Lotus Lightning? I tried parrying every attack during lotus and it doesn't work.
Prolly around 20+ frames during animation start :D It's tricky to get used to but eventually we will!
how about the best option for katana for counter? weapon action vs step counter atk?
Step counter is dominant on this one, the only problem being losing altitude during vertical fights

It's basically an automatic counter that triggers after every PA you cast. It's really hard to use and will take time to master.
is it only way to get braver class is to finish main story to unlock it?
Not really sure on that one. It popped out when I went online but I've already finished the story quests :O

I did a fighter/braver so I could have access to Overload and Braver Combat for boss downs with a bow, and the lvl 2 charge on Flex Arrow makes it hit like a 'railgun'. I like the bow better than the katana, because I prefer ranged combat, I am hoping to get a Fixa Fatale lvl 3-4 for more crits. I just wish the bow could bet better at mobbing, because PSE Bursts can go apeshit very often
I hope you would get that Fixa Fatale lvl 4, Masamune! Maybe soon in the future we will have skills in the bow that would be good at mobbing.

That's a great question! In theory and basing it off in the skill description, It should increase the healing done if it's a TE main and BR sub. The only key info that really needs clarity is if the resta field heals for the same amount as what the TE gets. Kinda risky though ._.

Force and Fighter are pretty much universal subclasses for any other class as it seems. You pretty much can't go wrong with them. The only issue is when you are F2P and want to use Fo both as main class and as a subclass. Shame there's no F2P option to add 1 skill tree for a few classes.

I agree. for now we can at least spec into just your favorite fighter weapon, and then you can put points into defeat advantage and defeat pp recovery
Just use a second character for your alternative build, i know it's a bit of a pain making the whole story again but trust me, it doesn't take too much if you speed run through it. Also there are some benefits like additional reset tree passes.
@@DimitriKatsuro I know, I have 2 extra characters to collect these passes. It's just annoying to swap them around. I do understand that Sega want to make money, but I don't think that making life of F2P players as discomfortable as possible is the right way to do this. This is not even the worst thing they locked behind a paywall. The biggest offender so far is access to the selling items on the market.
I was delighted with the Braver, the bow is amazing, it fits my style of play.
My rotation for the Break, for now, is as follows:
Brave Combat + Dimensional Ray charged + Dimensional Ray + Bow Elusion Counter (weapon action) + Flex Arrow charged to level 3 (I know the video said it was losing DPS but I like big numbers) + Photon Blast + Brave Combat.
Amazing how much damage can be done, I chose Vialto Bow and Force subclass.
Awesome rotation man! I mean heck, DPS values aren't really important unless you want to do time attack. As long as you're enjoying the visuals, and feels great to use, that's a 10/10 for us!

I would really recommend wired lance to compensate for AoE. Weapon Action can clear mobs fast so you can have force as sub to feed the PP hunger :D

@@joejunior4700 The damage output isn't that bad for Katana but it's a bit dependent on Brave Combat though. Fighter still wins in terms of damage output, but I need to test the DPS from both classes further to clarify :D

Gameplay and character looks super stiff while using it and the fact the character sheathes the katana after every attack bothered me
@@Jason-ip6wq Theirs no problem with that really that main problem is the fact their isn't any gap closer PA like in base PSO2 mistreaver you can't do a fast rush gameplay on BR anymore, what they did in NGS BR is literally made it as a counter type class with PA that has long animations etc on a game where everything moves fast etc so it BR kinda is clunky as if you're playing a Fi Fist but removing the big damage what made the fist worth using, add salt to the wound every Melee has gap closer PA's (except for spear? if im right) BR also has one but its so minimal and PA consuming.
They pretty much copied what made Vergil popular sheathes every strike plus his cool looking skills, forgetting his teleporting BS.
My brain felt like it was gonna melt watching this, I wanted to start maining braver but now I'm not so sure. it seems way too overwhelming
Honestly, just jump on it and experiment. When you start to feel like you're playing "incorrectly" or that you can be doing more, come back to guides like this and pick up bits and pieces to put together as you play around. That's the best way you can learn it stress free imo, and thankfully there's no pressure to play the best in the current content. As long as you're hitting the enemies and you aren't dying over and over and over again, you're fine.
