  • You've got 2 eyes. Duh. But there's way more to talk about than just 2 eyes. The visual system uses information from your eyes to make lots of decisions about which muscles to use to hold you up, move and how to keep you safe. If its working well, no biggie, if not you could have issues that need to be addressed. And its not just about clarity. There are 2 main ways your eyes process information for this job to occur and 2 challenges your focal system has to do it well. Hear more from Torin on how your eyes can be good guys or bad guys when it comes to your upright posture and postural patterns.

Hi Torin, great info as always 😃
Can you tell me if retained primitive reflexes can affect the ability to stay neutral?
Also as with eyes do we favour one ear over the other?
    Kind regards Kevin.

The real question is why are the primitive reflexes retained? Certainly if you are reliant on a primitive reflex that you cannot inhibit neutrality will be challenging. If you cannot inhibit body on head or head on body reflexes because you are too overreliant on you visual system for focal activity integrating peripheral ambiant vision and optic flow is a way to inhibit those "retained" reflexes. The auditory system follows the same neurological tracts as the visual system and is "tuned in" for orientation (you have "sonar" to place objects and yourself with your auditory system) so it can play a major role with some people. As far as inherent asymmetry one ear is usually tuned into different frequencies of sound than the other. Maybe something we can discuss at a later date! Thanks for the questions

Wow, fascinating response! Thank you. I'm very eye dominant my PRI guy in the UK says (the only guy in the whole country, he's brilliant)

Hi Sir, i was stuck in right torsion from 8 years ,now had an eye trauma , which was providing sensory for the left hamstring . Now when I look at the mirror I can see a small white spot in the right part of the left eye near pupil and sclera though I can see well and sometimes i suddenly see a white blind spot in my left eye while looking objects .Can you help me what should I tell to my normal optometrist . Since pri is not in my country.

If there is actually trauma to the eye itself that certainly needs to be addressed to ensure the eye is working as good as it can. That would be the first goal. They may need to do further testing to see if there is anything going on with the eye itself. Assuming the function and health of the eye is fine all the optometrist needs to know is that you want your eyes to be balanced right vs. left and not overcorrected (usually what we see) or under corrected for distance. Good luck

Sir, I went to an optician who prescribed be Ar lenses after testing me in a eye machine i had to see a small house my right side was weaker than my left side. I still can't get that big hamstrijf toe muscle up should I go for base down prism or peripheral glasses next time please advice sir and once again thankyou for replying and giving a valuable advice 🙏

@@leavingthepast7108 Without knowing what the eye issues are and how your body responds with lenses I cannot unfortunately give you advice for what type of glasses to use. If there is actual eye health issues or damage I would focus (pardon the pun) on what the eye dr is saying first until that is managed and then seek out assistance form a PRI trained person to address and identify how or if those 2 systems need to be coordinated. Thanks!

Hello! We really need your help! Tell me please, it turned out that the pelvis is oriented to the right, but the vertebrae of the thoracic region are rated to the left, while the chest tends to twist to the right. Is this a potology or is this a standard situation!?

Great info sir. From a boxing perspective, have you seen the double end reflex bag ? I believe that it helps the eyes staying focus and also with hand/eye coordination which also helps the eyes. Any thoughts on the double end bag drill for improving eye neuro awareness?

Haven't seen this but in general boxing is definitely a sport that requires ambient/peripheral awareness and focal vision at the same time.
