does it take a lot of buffing and also if i was to wipe down my piece of furniture would this come off.....do you seal it at all afterward?
I used adhesive and then applied the gold gilding. Looks great. Can I apply a second hand of gilding after the first coat is dried?
Here's a hint. I just did my first guilding wax project and made some mistakes. I'm an old hand at chalk paint and I used the same techniquie for removing this wax as for using too much dark wax. All you do is rub the area with clear wax and mistakes are gone
Can you share the beautiful paint colors you used on this dresser? The blue gray with the dark waxed look is wonderful!

Oh this is gorgeous!!! Quick question- did you seal the piece prior to applying the gilding wax? I’m about to put some on a buffet that I’ll be sealing with clear wax and don’t know if I should apply it before or after
Hi Kathryn, I have the same question as you. Did you seal it before or after applying the gilding wax in the end and what was the result?
So I just actually painted a buffet and used the Dixie belle gilding wax on it and I applied it after sealing with clear wax - brandy said the gilding wax will cure like any other wax on the piece after sealing ☺️ hope this helps!
@@kathrynmalloy6286 Thanks Kathryn. I have used polyurethane on the wood top and am waxing the rest then going to use the gilding wax on the carvings
