Your videos have just one problem: they end :( Your videos are my inspiration to keep work on my 1968 Datsun 510... Keep up bro, can't wait for next episode!
you probably dont care at all but does any of you know of a trick to log back into an instagram account? I was stupid forgot the login password. I would love any tips you can offer me.
@Harper Kody Thanks for your reply. I found the site through google and Im trying it out atm. I see it takes a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
@Harper Kody WTF IT ACTUALLY WORKED :O Literally got access to my instagram account details after roughly 45 mins of using the site. Just had to pay 15$ but definitely worth the money :) Thank you so much, you saved my ass!
Just picked up a 1967 Datsun 520 1300cc with zero rot just surface rust, ran 15 years ago, been sitting in one spot since 1995. Already got new tires and moved it to a safe location. I plan on using all of your videos for reference! I want to do an entire restore from the ground-up, but keep the petina on the outside just the way it is. Keep up the videos!!! Maybe before you start the videos you can show the exact tools you will end up using during restoration! Helps with the OCD!! Thank you!!
32Builds thanks man, this thing should be a fun project. My Dad and I have never taken on something like this so it should be a good learning experience for both of us. Im quite scared to take the original carb apart but am completely willing to try. These trucks are so rare out here in the States, that even one thats rusted out will still draw crazy attention and appreciation at car shows. Plus its gunna be a neat little car parts hauler. In the future we plan on doing a full drum to disk brake conversion, ball joint conversion, and 5-link suspension in the rear end-Should handle like a dream after that. Anyways... keep up the good work friend! And stay safe!
@@strainfly7372 That sounds awesome! I have no prior experience taking a car apart to this extent, but I've found the best way to learn is to jump right in and also use web as back up haha Everything is simple when you break them into individual parts
The thing that is impressive to me is that you are doing this resto In a apartment parking lot! Just is crazy to think but it’s awesome to see you doing it!
I dont know what it is but I love seeing you getting rust off of things, very relaxing, very satisfying. 10/10. I think its insane how patient you are to be doing all of this by yourself, props to you man! Can't wait for the next one!. edit: let me help you!
Thanks for the tip! I put anti-seize on the inner nuts for the axle and thread lock on the adjuster mounting bolts. Will go back and put anti-seize on the adjuster screw now, its still a bit rusty too so it'll definitely help!
I'm really enjoying this series! I also have one but where i'm from it came with a 1400 engine instead of the 1200 after 1980 onwards until production ended in 2007
Hi, I would like to know if maybe you can post a video where the steering gear box is repaired, I have a Datsun 1200 and the steering gear box is out of adjustment
New Subscriber. (My pleasure) I really enjoy this series, as a future owner of a long body ute meself. Mine should be in me hands in 4-6 weeks, all the way from Yokohama. Bits of advice, maybe lower the music level a little bit on your videos, so it doesn't take attention away from the content. As for the welding, I can't help thinking your wire feed is too fast, I would slow it down if you have good penetration instead of raising current. And to prevent deformation, go around the panel multiple times tacking every 2-3 cm. Don't stay in the same area too long, especially on exterior panels...
Hi thanks for the feedback! :D I'm always tweaking and finding little ways of improving my vids! As for the welding, I'm under the impression that I need a new liner at the moment as the wire either sticks in the liner, or tangles in the feed. Will be doing some more welding soon!!
In my basement hahaha no reception, no sunlight xD I prolly want a different motor if I want to boost it, dont wanna put the old gal through too much haha, but I think I'd rather supercharge this one :)
Great work. Next time please lay down some plastic paper sheet before grinding or painting. It lives less mess afterwards. Take it from me, I have a wife!! Good job though

Haha thanks Salamander!!
Looks great. Can't wait to get my garage so i can get stuck into mine.
I like how your proving you don't need a fully load work shop to restore a car.
Cheers! Don't wait! You can probably start doing some small things already :))
Hello from Greece keep up the good work
Hello! thank you!!
Go back and put some anti-seize compound on the adjuster screw. It'll save you later if it ever gets rusty 👍

Thanks! I had no idea they were made until 2007! It could definitely use the extra 200CCs haha
Loving your work, it has inspired me to start on my 310 Fairlady. I started with the rocker cover after seeing you paint your one.
Thank you! Thats a beautiful car :D
Just watched the entire build series so far. Its awesome to see someone doing everything by themself. When are the new videos coming?

Sorry to keep you waiting! It should be out now!
Yo, your work is incredible! Is it possible for you to list all the material and tools you used during your restoration? I’m begin to restore at 510.

Did you use a wire brush then flap wheel to get it lookin that good?? Thinking of doing this to my rear axle
I use a stripper wheel, I can use it with a drill which makes less noise and takes less power. It's basically a really coarse sponge :)
Whats the go with the tumbler? Are these commercially available or something you made? Works well on the nuts and bolts
I made it haha, still experimenting with different media I can find easily. Its made from an old fan motor and a cake tin from the supermarket :)
32Builds if you get time do a quick video on that if you can please.
Would love to see a video building this tumbler. Looks super handy!
Hey mate what paint did you use on all parts like the diff crossmembers control arms etcand how did you find it
Dude ..where have you been hiding. .cant wait to see the engine fitting....turbo it please 😆

What brushes did you use to make that look like a mirror
I just got a 78 HL 620
The 620s look mean too!

Sorry! New vid should be up now!! More to come!
I love your videos man 🤙 I’m throwing a 13b engine in mine! Let me know if you need original parts I have a a couple utes with spares 🤘🤘

awesome
Cheers! :D

When is the next video coming out you’ve disappeared for a while
Sorry mate, new video should be up now! Had to take a break to focus on studies :)
Great work. Next time please lay down some plastic paper sheet before grinding or painting. It lives less mess afterwards. Take it from me, I have a wife!! Good job though
Cheers! Haha don't worry, I clean up afterwards. Often wire-wheeling over spray off the tiles - (it doesn't damage them) or using chems of sorts.
@@32Builds Hmm? Too much wire wheeling for me!
@@davidtheophillus9832 hahaha wire-wheel everything!!!
Wooooooow!!!!
