- The main story of Forza Horizon 1 consists of 7 different chapters and each of them has a boss character that you face off against in the championship races and in the star showdown at the end. Here you can see the dialogue and the showdown duels for all of them.

In my first two Horizon 1 videos I showed the start and the end of my campaign playthrough but some people wanted to see even more of it. Showing all of the regular races would definitely get boring but what is interesting are the different boss characters that you meet in each chapter, so I cut together all of their dialogue that I got and my star showdown duels against them. Keep in mind that these runs are taken from my playthrough, so of course the driving will be just average and not nearly as good as in my Time Attack videos where I have practiced the tracks for a long time.
Most of the character are more or less antagonists but one special case is Ali Howard, who is the organizer of the street race events in the game. I might show some of his longest street races later. - Ігри

I cannot understand why they removed the bosses from the games , it was so cool…

Because the community became satisfied with PG doing the bare minimum with their sequels.
Probably because it looked way to much like NFS Most Wanted (the original) bosses and they (Turn10 or Playground) wanted Forza Horizon has it's own identity 🤔. Just speculating here.
Showcases are the new boss races especially your rival is not using a car.

i raced Ali Howard in one of the barn finds and i drove under him, and he was flipped upside down, and thats how i beat him with a 30 second gap
when i played against the saleen girl, she just stayed at the start not moving a inch. well back then it helped me alot. Hopefully they add a real story to fh5 again, it made the game more fun imo and it gave you an real target, also loved the thing where you needed to do stunts, drifts etc. to move up spots on the offline "leaderboard".

Back when singleplayer campaign in Forza Horizon had personality. I wish we had this instead of cheerful crap the series has gone downhill to.

Probably they didn't want their game to be compared to Need for Speed Most Wanted (the original). People do that with Saints Row, Sleeping Dogs etc to Grand Theft Auto already. What they can do is something unique I'm waiting for racing against the organiser from each event and win their car that is not for sale in the store and has a unique decals. So you only get to race them after you finish their event. A bit different but can work.

In stage 4, for my own personal reasons, AWD cars must be the best choice. I chose Lamborghini Murcealago. Sorry about my spelling. It’s top speed is 210 mph. Or around 340 kph. Your top speed is only 200. Mine was a perfect choice for this.

I have like ten days of in game time on it and it’s cool to fuck around but that’s just it, it’s all you can do. Although I will say the progression was done pretty nicely with the showcases and popularity, but it suffers from the same problem as four no story to get invested in, just a challenge to complete.

You can still play it now if you want. It's not sold on the Microsoft Store anymore but you could try to find a used disc version.

I love how they made every character have their own taste in cars:
Ramona uses only her F150 Raptor
Ali uses mostly tuner cars and iconic muscle cars and his favourite color appears to be white
Duke uses only yellow and typically oldschool cars
Marko uses only blue cars except for an orange Dodge Challenger
Zaki uses mostly white cars and the classiest/most expensive cars available in each race
Hailey uses only red cars
Darius uses the highest performing cars available in each race and always in black when available
Great color motif analysis, I wanna add some from my own.
Ramona Cravache's main color of choice is Orange, fitting for an energetic, very extroverted, outgoing and off-roading gal, kinda modern version of the wild west cowgirl, the F-150 is also big for her, making her badass.
Zaki Malik's color of choice is Silver, a color of wealth (being a prince) and elegance (for driving high end cars), its even in one of his pre-race quotes.
Darius Flynt's color of choice is Black as well as a bit of Red (Darius' cars with some bits of red can be found in his Sesto Elemento and 599XX), the colors of a true rival (can be interpreted as villainous colors, a quote "live long enough to see yourself become a villain" rings a bell, because being a three time champion and all, well not totally evil but being a bully-like rival as he is the best racer in Horizon for a long time before the Player Character beats him.)
Playground Games definitely nails the personality and color symbolism of the opponent characters in this game.

Darius came from nfs carbon after defeating in canyon
second playthrough, im on the gold wristband, i beat all the superstar before him with my subaru impreza except Marko Baran (used the bugatti eb110 stock) and Hailey Harper (used an engine swapped corolla)
edit: I also intentionally chose very cheap cars when going against Zaki Malik, the most expensive i went was like 85,000 credits for a ferrari with upgrades (85% upgrade discount included)
Bosses from Ali to Malik seem like actually tollerable guys you could be great friends with.

I just found the disc after years of losing it and it was backwards compatible that was one of the happiest days of my life. Unfortunately it didn't save my progress from the 360 so I had to shart over
