I love the feeling and vibe of FH1, where we are rolling into the festival with the other contestants like a fun convoy. Reminds me of when I went to Vegas for my buddy’s wedding and little by little everyone began showing up to party
Back in the days of FH1 with the letdown of TDU3 being canceled, it was like a breath of fresh air, and still to this day feels like it was a dream, FH2 rained way too much but was nice to not have the barriers everywhere, FH3 was and still is a vibe to this day, while I do miss the snow, living in an area that has snow for 3-4 months of the year burned me out when it snowed in FH4, and FH5 just feels like FH4 to me.
FH4 made a giant leap forward with seasons, free roam multiplayer, festival list and all new game modes. Winter got old pretty quick for me too. I agree that FH5 feels like more of the same but it isn't necessarily bad.
Can't believe I've been playing since FH1. Incredible to see how much the game has developed, in graphics and in the gameplay in general. My favorite was probably the 3rd one, in Australia, but nothing beats the nostalgia and the story of the 1st one! Beating every contender on every level was awesome... good times!
Regardless of if you’re a returning driver, or a newcomer to the Horizon festival, the initial drive in the first game gives players a sense of nostalgia. The 5th game is my personal favourite, but the opening from the first game makes me wish I played Forza Horizon 1. The line of “High Energy, Scattered Rhythms, & plenty of thundering engines” perfectly describes the joy of the Horizon festival & how much fun the Horizon series is to all players
What I think about all intros: FH1: Amazing. The race between Viper and Ferrari was ok but the VW Corrado giving all it had while fighting with Ferrari and Porsche to reach a place or lose was truly good. FH2: Ok, but not so good as the FH1: You race, but why? First or last, whatever. 🤷♂ FH3: First half is ok like the FH2, the second half is chaos... 😂 FH4: Emotional with the gaming showing he is not real life but a game when show the screen, the music choice and the narrator nervous and happy with the Senna passing anyone and reaching first. FH5: Pure chaos. I did not even remembered how it was until I watch this video, there's nothing to remember. Tons of different cars with different musics and terrible choices of musics... What happened?
@@forzanexus But there's no "Hero's Journey" on it, every car feels like a different pilot that "born to race", FH2 and FH3 too but tried to keep the same music at least, FH3 started to joking on the second half and became chaos. While FH1 and FH4 you have a hero's journey. Even if it was scripted and probably was, tell me: What is the sensation of getting a place on the festival on FH1? If it was real, you could lose and never gonna see the festival...That is the sensation of immersion it gives, and on FH4 the sensation is of showing the character evolution over the seasons with the music being epic and more epic and at the end you feel like you win in the last second in 1st because you did, because you deserve it, as I said: even if it was scripted and probably was.
The thing i love about FH1 is that it had some very memorable characters. Like, Duke, Hailey and Ramona. But above all, Flynt. He actually felt like a final boss. I remember being hell bent on beating him with a VW Beetle just because i wanted to make the victory so much sweeter. And eventually i did. I sorta regret selling my Xbox 360, just because of FH1. I tried to emulate it on pc, but mine is just not powerful enough. hopefully I’ll be able to play it again one day.
makes me wish the 5 intro was more thrilling. after the intro in 4 with the music that actually seemed like it elevated every single portion, 5 just felt like a "whatever sticks to the wall" setup.
@@TDB-rm4qt Best Campaign - Start off with a VW Corrado and have to progress through wristbands taking out actual named rivals to become horizon champion. Being a Brit there’s only 4 that does it for me. And Derwent Dam is on it, somewhere I’ve spent hundreds of nights overnight either camping, stargazing, or abusing psychedelic Class A’s or combinations of all 3, so to see it so perfectly recreated in a video game (with a tiny bit of creative licence) is great. The new TSW3 Midland Mainline that’s out has every commute I’ve ever had to do, and goes past two places I’ve lived. That’s pretty mad, something SO familiar rendered in gorgeous 4K Ultra in a video game. The building I had my wedding reception is on the TS20xx version, extended by about 400% v what TSW is limited to because of console restraints. Mexico in 5 is also fantastic. Didn’t care much for 3.
