Fun Fact 1: Sindh is the only fully pakistani region that is mentioned in Indian national anthem! This is because the Indian national anthem was adopted from a song written decades before the partition of 1947!
Fun Fact 2: no indian mountaineer can scale the K2! This is because it is in the indo-pak disputed region controlled by pakistan & indian govt will have to accept it is in Pakistan to grant permission to apply for a pakistani visa!!

The name Pakistan was proposed by Chaudhary Rehmat Ali. The word Pakistan refers to the five Muslim-majority regions in the northwest of the Indian subcontinent.
The thing is Chaudhary Rehmat proposed the name of Pakistan but he also proposed the names of many other Muslim-majority regions of the subcontinent, he remained the Indian subcontinent as "Dinia". Dinia was represented with dependencies Pakistan, Osmanistan (representing Hyderabad Deccan and neighboring areas) Bangistan (representing Bengal), and many more. he proposed an independent islamic muslim state for Bengali, Assamese, and Bihari Muslims. Bangistan later became East Pakistan and now Bangladesh. You can search for his proposed "continent of Dinia" to get a clear picture of his demands.

I would add the following: although Urdu is an official language (of which 77% of Pakistanis can speak), only 7.08% of Pakistanis identify Urdu as their mother tongue. The districts in Karachi are the only districts in Pakistan in which the plurality of residents identify Urdu as their mother tongue (Source: 2017 Pakistan Census.) That being said, I have met four sets of Pakistanis in my small hometown in the US, all hailing from Lahore in Punjab. In casual conversation, they all used Urdu.
Since I have been teaching myself Hindi, I have been able to deliver a few phrases to these Pakistanis I've met. They will point out that words like "parivaar" or "namaste" are Hindi terms, but they understood what they meant. The mutual intelligibility between Hindi and Urdu is incredibly high.

I wanted to suggest you make a series of videos in the future :
    - Historical Geography: How countries looked before the modern age.
    - Weather Geography: How the presence of mountains, sea currents, and etc. affect the weather of a region. You have been doing this in all your videos, but it would be nice to have an explainer more specifically. For example, "What leads to the creation of deserts?" , "Why are some places very dry?" " Why does the bay area have cold weather?".

Edit: a reply corrected me, the "i" in Pakistan is not part of the izafat rule but the examples i gave of izafat are still correct and they said its still a good explanation of it, read this if u wanna learn about Urdu/Persian language but it doesn't add anything to geography
the "i" in Pakistan is a literary technique in Urdu/Persian called izafaat. Izafaat works by using a word, that is not necessary an adjective, to describe another word - connecting the 2 with a zer (vowel diacritic that makes a e/i sound) - in a "root word" e "discriptive word" format. Paak-i-staan means land of the pure (pure e land). Another famous example is the koh-i-noor, the biggest of the diamonds that the British stole from us. Koh=mountain, noor=light so koh e noor is mountain e light, mountain is the word itself, light adds to it's meaning so imagine a mountain that's literally made from light, that is the koh e noor. The word for parliament is majlis e shura, majlis refers to a group and shura means advice so a majlis e shura is a govt advisory body (group e advice). In the intro to the song tajdar e haram (crown e holy lands, it's a popular religious song in Pakistan) God/Allah is refered to as "kaatib e taqdiir", "writer e destiny" which, by now, you'd know means "writer of destiny". A similar thing can be done using the letter waw (makes an "o" sound) to list things in a similar way to how we use triple emphasis in English. For example, in Faiz Ahmed Faiz's famous poem mujhse pehli si mohabbat meri mehboob na maang (O my love, dont ask me to love you like I did at firsty) he says that the curses have past centuries are woven into "resham o atlas o kamkhaab" meaning "silk and satin and [idk what kamkhaab is exactly but its another type of cloth]". You can see how it's like a list specifically there to build emphasis, in this case how prevalent outdated attitudes are in society. It doesn't have to be 3 items it can 2 or more but the only thing in English I could compare it to is triple emphasis which is always 3 items.

@@lol8q what? lmfaooo. Hinduism is a religion not ethnicity. secondly, our languages are panjabi, sindhi, balochi and pashto, all of those languages are ancient and not "hindu" that makes no sense whatsoever. our culture is Mughal influenced + panjabi, sindhi, baloch, and pashtun culture, not "arabic" as arabic is a language not culture and arabs are found in the middle east, arabs themselves have different cultures . our land before islam was buddhist, zoroastrain, pagan, jains and vedic religion not "hindu."

Question Barb are the monks carved their Buddhist teachings as they pilgrimage to the next place as they travel during 14th century? Because in the past they can be assimilated or joined as a community. And I know Tibet Kingdom is also a dynasty.

    Very interesting video. Thank you.
Since you don't mind making videos of countries with too many divisions, then can I suggest making a video on the eight divisions of Bangladesh? Besides, you did make the Bangladesh video MANY years ago and it was very short and by now , in a way, it has become outdated, so it would be a kind of update.
