Microsoft set up Hi Fi Rush to fail, when I think about it these people are corpo assholes, they probably knew Hi Fi Rush wouldnt fit their brand moving forward, also they didnt expect it to do as well. They really shadow dropped it and then complain about sales. Hi Fi is a stylish character action game, character action games is a really niche genre when you think about it.

Remember the days right before Halo 3 came out? That was the single greatest marketing campaign a game ever got. I don't know what happened in the years since but it's like they forgot how to market games these days regardless if they're AA or AAA.
I say this as somebody who wasn't even a 360 user back then. I went through the 7th gen entirely as a PS3 user and these days I'm a PS5 and PC player only, but Xbox did have great marketing before.
People beating this game under 6hrs …I heard from few people who got this game early …3 people !!!
The devs said and I quote "shorter narrative" as they described HB 2 at the last xbox show. Given the first game was short, I expected about 4-6 hours of gameplay tops.

Ninja Theory's previous game was Bleeding Edge, nobody even remembers that thing...
They also had that Heavenly Sword game and it was awesome. Same with DmC. Both games were awesome just that not everything went well for them.

They get acquired by Microsoft and end up releasing a multiplayer game no one cares about.

@@resrevr Enslaved was pretty good too. I never got to play it but they absolutely nailed it being based on journey to the West and the combat felt engaging based on the walkthrough I watched.

It could sell millions on PlayStation, but Xbox will still find a way to close them. Like. HiFi Rush did relatively well on PS. It hasn't even made it to the switch yet... And they said "nah we're just gonna close you" when the switch will probably get them the most new players and sales.

I don’t care if I catch hate for this but Xbox and Microsoft in its current state has NO place in the gaming industry. Watching them acquire talented studios just to shut them down or not utilize them properly is one of the most depressing things I’ve seen. Japanese studios (Sony, Sega, Nintendo, Capcom, Square Enix, Platinum Games, etc) are the only ones I trust
This industry will fold without Microsoft. Nintendo is behind on tech and Playstation have no games. Even though MS been messing up lately, all 3 businesses are needed because competition makes the other better.

He’s true …. No spoilers but I’m a hour and a bit in and wow 🤦🏻♂️. It looks so good at first until you start to see the cheap things about it. Same enemies ….. walk in a straight line …. Nothing else to do other than look at things from a certain way. It’s an unreal engine 5 showcase demo wrapped up as a triple A game.

Locked 30fps and it shouldn't be a huge talking point or anything. The game developers are aiming for a cinematic and movie like experience. 30fps is fine. It is not like you will be fighting against Maliketh and Hoarah Louh in this game. 30fps will suffice.

I’m worried for ninja theory. They been hard at work developing this game and we barely have any marketing for it. I know a lot of people don’t prefer these types of games, but to me, I am personally excited for hellblade 2. I did play the first game through game pass but I didn’t beat the story yet, but I love it. The graphics, the story, the audio experience through headphones was incredible. If the sequel becomes a flop, I’m still gonna buy the game. And I’m gonna buy the first game as well and not playing it again through game pass because I truly want to support ninja theory all the way. Fuck Microsoft for the lack of advertising!!

Made by a small team, very basic gameplay, a lot of walking, short and cheap. Great game but incredibly forgettable...

I can make a uneducated opinion that because Hellblade 2 took 4-5 years to make and had top-notch production, which probably cost a heck of a lot of money to make, I highly doub't this game's going to be profitable considering the niche appeal for this game.
Some would rather just prefer to watch other people play it or by themselves like a movie.
It's just a walking sim with a cool audio trick with some shallow combat, only this time, it will be really, really pretty. It will be the technical showpiece for the Series X.

I feel that enough promotional trailers, gameplay and behind-the-scenes were shown. For 4 years this game appeared on almost every Xbox showcase. If they showed any more there would be no reason to play the game.

If you played hellblade 1, then you know what to expect for hellblade 2. I played 1 on ps4 when it released. Its about 8 hours i think, yet great visual and audio experience. The fighting gameplay is supposed to be improved for hellblade 2. Looking forward to it.
