Caribbean steel pan drums with a subtle guitar riff and a really fat bass line, plus a sax and trumpet solo to boot! And Palmer's vocals are the super smooth icing on top! He played some of those early melodies on a casio handheld keyboard. I saw him in 1980 at Auburn University in Alabama. My first girlfriend turned me on to him.
