Dude can you tell me how it handled for you and how was it taking off from a stop...???... parts list if you can.. .did you reinforce the frame also and are you happy with the clutch??...appreciate your time...how did you eliminate the shakes ???
@@garbo3682 with the handling it kind of depends on what your expecting out of a trike being that the turning is the hardest part cause you have to slow down a good bit and lean towards the turn without leaning the bike.. try leaning the bike while turning to fast and it can snap the frame or flip. I welded the rear end to the front with a couple pieces of rebar to help with shaking at higher speed. The shaking in my previous video was caused by a bad centrifugal clutch. The shakes start to come back if I don’t oil the new clutch every other ride. A torque converter would probably be a smoother ride if you can make that fit. This takes off smoothly it’s not a race bike but will still do 50 mph but it’s scary and hard to explain why. Basically the only drive wheel is the rear left which makes it want to make a right turn at 50 mph while your keeping the wheel straight. There’s more to it but hard to explain. If you just want to cruise with the kids to the park or to the store or I even cruise a few miles down the bike trail, then this is the trike for you. Only thing is you gotta figure out brakes for yourself cause what I mention in this video about the rear brakes is still relevant and happened recently where I used the rear brake while going too fast and it started to twist the axle and dismounted the sprocket so it was free spinning. For parts I think rear sprocket is 60T and clutch is 11T The chain is #420 Predator 212 engine 70” throttle cable and twist throttle Nuts bolts metal and a welder would be the rest I think. The only things I purchased were the cable and throttle and the chain everything else I had laying around so prices very
Having a motor only puts a lot of stress on the clutch if you plan on cruising around at slower speeds and it’ll smoke after going to slow for too long.. I usually pedal to help me take off but it’s not 100% necessary as you see in this video
I just ordered new tires for it they’ll be here Friday.. I usually respond to questions if you have any.. upgrading the axle is a good idea and something I’ll probably do one day.
You ever consider throwing a disc brake onto the front since the current method of rear braking tends to warp the rear axle? And also I'm diggin the back seat. And with only one wheel turning do you feel any pull to the left? And did you ever consider putting the sprocket in the center of the axle and modifying it so both rear wheels are turned by the motor or would that be too big of a pain in the ass to even mess with? I ask because I'm trying to figure out if it is possible to get both rear wheels hooked up to the sprocket/drive chain without having to just start choppin and weldin and making the whole rear of the trike 100% custom; because as I'm sure you know once you go down that path things start to take a whole lot longer since you have to fabricate or heavily modify any parts from that point on.
Lots of good questions.. The front disc brake is a great idea I just don’t have much time or want to put one on but that would be ideal vs what I have. You’ll only feel it pulling when under super heavy throttle or when your doing 50 you’ll notice the alignment is off. If you lock both wheel and make it 2WD you won’t be able to make tight turns or most any turns without having to lift a wheel off the ground.
Yea but the ride isn’t terrible the way it is, it’s pretty smooth unless I forget to oil the clutch every other ride.. my 212 predator off-road go kart has a torque converter on it so I know what you mean but on take off it might be to much torque and you kinda have to ease into take off so your not stressing anything
I would use a center sprocket and if jobs for a centrifugal clutch it shouldn’t want to grab at idle … also a split axle would help or at least a differential from a higher end trike
If your referring to the first video when I first slapped it together with what I had it didn’t idle but since then I bought a new clutch and modified the spring in it so it will idle in place.. my original reply was gonna be so long you’ve motivated me to make another update video..
Ya but less sketchy than the stock brakes that come on that thing, especially if your going any faster than 15 to 20 mph and riding it day in and day out. Haha but you're definitely right that mid placement would for sure be preferable to front only. Hell why not throw a big ol hand lever e brake on that thing with some much wider, slicker and fatter rear tires and let the power sliding commence haha
@@letsdoitourselves5322 I was looking for information on building a trike with a 80cc.. can't be a pullstart engine or electric start. I'm looking at building a pedal assist trike. So the engine starts by pedaling
Ok I know what your talking about.. you have to get an engine with a clutch lever.. I don’t have a video of how I put the engine on but I have an old walk around of me explaining it.
Hey Brah i have a sun ez3 recumbent any cool pimp ideas for mine. you should scraper out the wheels with red and black chrome wrap that would be cheap and be pimp on your trike Look up scraper bike trunk boyz pm me on messenger under Easter David id like to share some pic idea’s i have
Thanks i had the seat laying around and a lightbulb 💡 lit up in my head.. for those who might read this and don’t know bitch is the rear seat on a motorcycle and if that’s where your sitting your riding bitch.. thanks
This is awesome but i wouldn't last without a rear disc brake.😂🍻
Thanks one day I plan to add one
Respect, great looking moto trike

@@letsdoitourselves5322 thank you for the info....thanks for responding
I do two stroke motors but im currently expermenting with 4 strokes three wheel is what i want to do.
Nice I got two projects going now both trikes
Did you just give up on peddling? I’m thinking of ditching the peddles and just putting the motor on my 68 Schwinn town and country

Would love to see an update what im in the middle of doing is upgrading to a 3/4 axle instead of 5/8

Very cool dude, doing it your way!!! Nice.

I put my sprocket where it is so I don’t have to worry about the torque of the engine snapping the axle just the rear brakes.
hay love the vid dude, keep up the good work !
Thanks, will do! i plan to make a top speed video soon.. check back!
Nice cruiser, you should get a torque converter for a smoothie ride

😂 just ask and I’ll respond eventually
Flintstones f##kin up yo showes lol nice i bet the turning sucks lol
Turns better than you think but not as easy as a regular bike for sure.. definitely takes some practice.
Disc brake in the middle. Only a front brake is sketchy.

Do you have any knowledge of building a pedal assist trike?
This is kinda that.. in this video the rear sprocket isn’t on it but it is now.. so you can pedal or use the motor or both

Fred Flintstone brakes.
Be careful bro those are easy to tip over with pedals
12 years of experience I think I’ll be fine
Can you hear the music over the motor running?
The muffler I have on it is pretty quiet unless u really get on it but even then this stereo can be heard no problem.. It’s loud..
Что то цвет какой-то девчачий или ещё кто-то красный любит

I know all about scraper bikes.. I’m from Sacramento and this bike started out with a car battery car stereo 2 6x9s and a 10”sub
