- Nintendo dropped one hell of a Nintendo Direct last week, but it wasn't just a really damn good show, it turns out it was Nintendo's most watched show of all time!

Look, I fucking love Zelda. It's my favorite game franchise ever, and i have every 3D entry in my top 20 games of all time, and I am so so so excited for Echoes of Wisdom. But man, Mario and Luigi coming back caught me so off guard. Bowser's Inside Story is one of my favorite games of all time, I hold every entry, even Paper Jam very close to my heart, especially the OST's. I absolutely cannot wait for that game, November 7th can't come soon enough!

Zelda Echos of wisdom is what I’m waiting on and I don’t have to wait long.
I liked how Echoes kinda follows the theme that Tears started.
Last game was Zelda’s tears then this game the creative ingenuity of tears have turned into echoes

I love all of those things, but Metroid is not a heavy hitter. It's a 3m tops game.

You can say they are in their (Nintendo) Prime 😅 Best announcement was for Metroid Prime 4: Beyond! But Mario and Luigi was a very nice surprise too! And the DK Returns also. Really great!

9/10 direct but was missing star fox ok fine it was 10/10 but 😢 I wish fox was back but Mario and Luigi baby I love Zelda but that Mario and Luigi is great

I love Zelda I literally cannot wait to play Echoes of Wisdom!! Did you notice tho that it seems like Nintendo is releasing big games on Thursday now instead of Friday? I think that’s pretty cool but anyway I’m excited for Mario and Luigi and Donkey Kong too because I never played that Donkey Kong game!! Marvel vs Capcom was so cool!! Such a great direct!!
I just wonder why echoes of wisdom isn't listed in the us eshop or website but is listed in every other region.
Dragon Quest 3 comes out right before I go on vacation to Florida, but I don’t know if I’m gonna buy it. I never thought I’d like RPGs until I played the 1st Paper Mario on NSO. Then I played TTYD and liked that, but I got stuck in some parts in the games. The way I beat them was by finding walkthroughs on UA-cam. I’d just need to do that for Dragon Quest 3, but the reason I don’t know if I want it’s because it doesn’t look like Nintendo. I’m also thinking about starting Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga to see if I’d like that series when I’m done with TTYD. If I do, I’ll wanna buy Brothership, which comes out a week before Dragon Quest 3.
Metroid Prime 4
For me, Zelda, but for my kids, I was thrilled to see Mario and Luigi, Donkey Kong and the Hello Kitty game.
Indeed, the direct is awesome & the 2D New Zelda is great to see, but I'm going to need hands-on with the game to get a feel of how good it is because I played games in the past that the copy system really doesn't do it for me.
It's like a card game to me when I see menus like this & it puts me off. I wish they would've had a better system for her than a copy system. Anyway I'll see how it fears when it releases.

Nintendo set up two games to look forward to in the next year being Pokémon legends ZA and Metroid prime beyond as far as new entries are concerned and not remakes
The organization, presentation and wording is so clear. I will most likely use this for introducing my children to programming logic ❤
And I've heard complaints from Sony fans and more about why they chose to show Marvel Vs Capcom in the direct and not the State of Play.. yet it turned out to be a good thing in the sense that many more eyes were on the direct then the State of Play...

Why is Metroid prime so liked by you? That would make a great video because I had no idea why you like it.
I find it a little funny that statistically the most hype direct there coule be for me personally was completely skipable and spent 2 minutes at 10 seconr skip because littelty not a single thing was interesting for me
Im mostly excited for EoW! Fairy Tail 2 and Mario & Luigi Brothership are also on my list! So excited for the second half of this year!!

If Echoes doesn't sell 5+mil in the first week, I'll be suprised.
2D Zelda games don't sell as fast as their 3D counterparts, so I wouldn't expect it to.

Funny story, the most memorable for me is the switch sports update. XD Just a week ago, my cousin visited us. When I told him we can play switch sports, he asked if there was basketball. Since there is none, we played badminton instead.

I voted this direct as b tier. Mario party Jamboree, Mario and Luigi? Yeah, Nintendo gave us two bangers, even if echos of wisdom doesn't live up to the Zelda hype.
I loved almost everything but my favorite was the most random inclusion, Fairy Tail 2, I didn’t think the game would get a sequel but it did. Aside from that M&L:Brothership, Zelda:Echoes of Wisdom, Metroid Prime 4:Beyond, Farmagia and The Hundred Line:LDA are all day one buys. The Marvel vs Capcom collection is already preordered!

Thanks Prime for all the content! I will say of all that was announced, Jamboree is all I’m really looking forward to. I was primarily in it for DK, but was let down so hard with DKCR HD that it kinda felt like a slap in the face for daring to be a DK fan. I guess what I was looking for was for Nintendo to swing for the fences with a new, preferably 3D, DK game which played similar but improved to DK64. And it felt reasonable to expect such because of the park expansion, the fact it’s 30 years of DKC this year, and that it was already attempted by Vicarious Visions. I just don’t get this decision because if they wanted to generate hype for the park, I would’ve thought they’d do exactly that, swing for the fences. At least then waiting till January 2025 would’ve made more sense. but for a port of a port? No way, no justification on earth can make me see that game actually taking till then. I also don’t believe this game will really help in generating said hype as people have already played it. it’s not gonna draw in droves or make UA-camrs like yourself talk about it lol. Speaking of no justification though, still no DK64 for NSO!

I mean honestly I hope we get one of those heavily focused surveys for DK like the one that was sent out for the Mario RPGs, that’s when I’ll know for sure Nintendo is serious about new DK games.

@NintyPrime Sorry, Japan Anniversary Association isn't a government body. Companies pay them ¥100,000 to formally recognise the anniversary of something for marketing purposes, but they aren't holidays. There are over a thousand recognised anniversary days, and the Japanese clearly aren't on holiday for the entire year to celebrate Dragon Quest, One Piece, Final Fantasy VII, Azuki frozen dessert bars, etc.
People take off work for it, so it might as well be a holiday. Even if it isn't high government official

Some pretty huge hyperbole and recency bias with this one. We finally saw mp4, and we got a surprise new zelda offshoot.
Not sure why everyone lost their mind otherwise.
- it’s not an offshoot. It’s a mainline Zelda game
- we got a brand new Mario and Luigi, a series thought to be dead 6 years ago that’s highly critically acclaimed
- we got a Mario party that Nintendo is promising is the best Mario party ever.

- we got looks a ton of high quality third party games, such as the DQ 1-3 remakes.
It’s pretty obvious why Nintendo fans are massively pleased. Most directs we have a game or two max we are excited for. This had a handful and that’s way more than usual.
I'm sure it was the most watched. People wanted a front row seat to watch Nintendo set a new world record, for the most childish games line up and worst direct in the history of gaming!
Of course ur channel will have a larger positive rating there mostly niche franchises that only hardcore Nintendo fans will like to be fair, Metroid…. A niche franchise and same with Mario and Luigi another niche franchise and a donkey Kong rerelease. A spinoff Zelda title. It was ok but nothing close to the greatest direct
Echoes of Wisdom isn’t a spinoff. That’s what makes it exciting.
@@djjoycie27 it’s a smaller legend of Zelda game, not made by the main team that has a different focus on gameplay… that’s a spin iff
interesting. I haven’t seen Nintendo confirm who the dev team is yet. I guess we could assume Grezzo as a safe bet. But since it was presented as a LoZ game by Aonuma, it’s being considered a mainline game like the other 2d games. Usually when it’s a spinoff, it says so in the Direct. (I.e Hyrule Warriors and Cadence of Hyrule)
