The 90's alternative scene was one of the best chapters for rock music ever. One of my favorites from this era. He rocked it here...though I'm missing the cello...
totally. i had to comment because i felt the exact same thing while listening. People were nicer back then. It was a different world and music made it an exciting time too.
except its not acoustic....its being played on an electric fender jazzmaster. just clean, not distorted. But i know what you were saying. Hes had some real amazing acoustic performances over the years.
@@bruinsftw8920 ...room acoustics have nothing to do with instrument type... Though the OP should've been more clear and praised the audio engineers at the Howard Stern show.
Andrew Lamming you’re thinking of acoustic, not acoustics. Acoustics by definition is “the properties or qualities of a room or building that determine how sound is transmitted in it.”
the 90s have an untouchable vibe, it feels so warm to watch these type videos from the 90s. it feels like it’s raining outside and it’s warm in his studio and once they finished recording they all go on the seperate paths into the night.
The 90s had such a great fresh rock sound such a nice break from the metal power ballads that defined the 80s the 90s were simple yet honest and so damn good
I love this song! Reminds me of being married to one of my best friends in the '90's. "Our old friend fear and you and me." We lost two babies, our parents and each other but we are still friends. "Couldn't love you more, you've got a beautiful taste." I didn't feel us in this song until years later. I love music! 🎶
A song from 1995 shared in 2019 that I am finally seeing the Stern show for in 2020. I have this CD from when it originally was released. Bush was a great group and glad to see this version of the song finally.
You know it's funny a lot of my buddies used to mock this alternative music in the 90s because they were all big hair heads from the 80s but now when we see that rock is pretty much no longer even a valid form of music we wish we can get in a time machine and go right back to the mid-90s again everybody appreciates this music now
Bush essentially copied many of the bands before them, Nirvana being one. Kurt wrote Lithium, Gavin later writes Glycerine. But Bush could never pull it off cuz Gavin is too good looking and polished.
snydesy I’ve heard it more than you imagined and I thing about how every decision I’ve ever made was wrong cause it was me that was wrong not the other person.
This was the best time for musicians. They made $$ from selling actual cds, tours and merch. Not anymore. I'm not a huge Bush fan but gavins voice is great here
What exactly has changed? Mercy and tours are practically the main source of income for “artists” nowadays. But yeah physical media is almost dead and that sucks I agree with ya there.

High school class of 96...this was the jam ...along with sponge, live, goo goo dolls, fuel, Candlebox, and so many more

Any more? I was born in 1992 and wish I could've been a teen in the 90s. Any good bands and songs?
@@OttoErotic69 Dishwalla, Spacehog

Thanks for pointing that lyric out. Tragically beautiful.
The 90's alternative scene was one of the best chapters for rock music ever. One of my favorites from this era. He rocked it here...though I'm missing the cello...
I blame phones and bad music. You can find good music and avoid phones. Not easy but doable. Best of luck to you.
Agree 💯
Actually a post grunge
I hope when I die that my soul is somehow transported back to the 90s to live out eternity. I'm so depressed in 2020.😥

It’ll be alright brother, the collective love will be strong again trust
Pretty much everything post 9/11 sucks...
no future, no past
For sure man! 🇺🇸
2 songs that defined the late 90s for me, was this tune, and 1979 by the pumpkins
Disarm as well by the pumpkins
Don't forget "Barbie Girl" by Aqua
funny that a song based off 1979 helped define a different decade

Howard always placed huge importance on having great acoustics in his studio. This sounds fantastic.

Andrew Lamming yeah, think he just meant stripped down solo performances more or less
Damn, Gavin is a bad ass. If you haven’t seen Bush at the 1999 Woodstock you must check it out. Gavin tore it up!!!
Bush is criminally underrated. SixteenStone was a HUGE album. Alt Rock Royalty as far as I’m concerned.

He’s so fcukin beautiful and so is this song and everything about it
Love the raspiness in his voice when he sings out the word “days”.
Acidplays days and nights kills each and every day in our hearts and minds waiting for the torment to end.
It's partly caused by the distorted sound of the microphone when it's hit too close.
Brilliantly written and performed. The 90s ruled.
Takes me back to my bedroom, black light posters, castle candles, hemp necklaces and Marlboro reds. I miss my 90’s
Hot damn I miss music from the 90's. What an amazing decade.
Damn if this song doesn’t hit me in the feelings. Gavin is seriously underrated in my opinion. Timeless song thanks for posting!

Yet we thought nothing of it at the time as teens and young adults...crazy how that works...
Move to Portland
I wish i could describe the feeling of hearing this in the late 90's, just beginning to really feel music.
Man I wish I could time travel back to the 90’s!! Best decade ever!
Howard got sooooooo many incredible performances on his show. Who else can convince just one or two band members to just plug and play like he did?
He has such a soothing voice
I miss this era in music❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
The 90s had some of the best music ever

You bruise my face
