Thanks so much! I love that fabric too! It looks great no matter what project you use it for 🤗
I also have this same fabric. I can't wait to make my first apron!
I love your videos on making the patterns too. It’s the way I sew, self taught. Love your cute reversible pocket one.
Keep inspiring me

Awesome video. Thank you for taking the time to do this!
You’re so very welcome! Thanks for watching 🤗
Great idea for my leftover mask material.
Absolutely! I’ve made a couple scraps quilts from left over material as well!
I've watched lots of videos before deciding which apron to make. I love yours and this is probably the one I'll make. It has to be a hostess apron, which is exactly what you call yours! 🙂
If I want to add a frill to the bottom, would I just do that before I add the back piece? AND, how many times the length of the bottom of the apron, would you recommend, please? TIA.
Yes you can add trim at that step before you sew the backing on. Make sure you pin the trim out of the way so you don’t accidentally sew through it when you stitch the backing on. To measure the length of trim just line it up along the bottom edge of your apron fabric and cut to fit. Hope that helps and thanks so much for the kind word!
Thank you, @@MaryMakes.
To get a frilly frill, how many times the width of the bottom of the apron, would I need to use?
Say, 1.5, 2, or even 3? The only apron I have ever made was a very plain gingham one, in the second year at high school (ie aeons ago)! 🫤😂 There were no frills on that! 😉
Love all your videos!! It’s impossible to buy the pin up girl fabric used in the apron! But, so inspirational and useful, practical instructions!!im learning so much!!
Thanks Michele! Lots move videos to come just taking a holiday break 😉 and yes absolutely you can get that pin up girl fabric fairly easily and from multiple sellers. The Alexander Henry company makes a whole ton of gorgeous pin up prints everything from mermaids to cowgirls and even some sexy guy prints too 😉 Etsy is the easiest place to find them. The usually run $10-$12 a yard so SHOP AROUND some sellers on Etsy way over charge. Carolina Cotton Company is one of my favorites she may have some. Also Joanns fabric usually has some AH fabric in their novelty section which goes on sale fairly often so I like to stock up then. They usually have more of the Day of the Dead and mermaid pin up. I’ll see if I can find the shop I ordered this from and get back to you.
Carolina cotton company has multiple AH fabrics I believe that’s where I got it but I did a quick search and a shop called TheCrafty Tree has the Aloha Pin Up for $11.50/yd that’s a fair price and the shops has some GREAT prints I had to close the tab quick before I spend any money lol
Please give the link for the "Mine for Sure" labels you mentioned (if I heard the name correctly). Thank you! Great video and lovely apron! I want to add a towel to the front of the apron, so will make one and adjust the pattern.

Here’s the link fir the printed labels. Her whole shop is cute! Lots of different customizable things!
Thank you!
Your videos are fantastic! I have so many questions for you.
Ask away!
I know this Video is old I just happen to come across it N watch it you're very Great Teacher.
The one thing I was always taught was after doing all the Seeming all of the fabric,Make sure you don't have too much bulk.
If there is Extra Fabric after you've Iron it you would cut it just as you did with the Corners.
I didn't see you do that at all just on the Corners why is that?
Thanks Margarita! To answer your question there is no need to trim any bulk except the corners because there isn’t any. If your using a 1/4 seam allowance the entire perimeter of the apron is stitched around the outside edge. I would never recommend trimming any closer to the seam allowance or it will weaken your stitches. As fabric gets washed ( an an apron will be washed many times) the threads will naturally fray some even in the inside so you want to make sure you have a decent seam allowance so the apron will last for many years. I have been making and selling this exact pattern since 2003. 19 years and I’ve never had a single complaint or issue with bulky seams so I assure you it will turn out just fine 🙂
Oh dear. As soon as I hear the word 'measure' I'm all freaked out!
Don’t stress. It’s easy. Just go slow and double check. Also I’m planning to sell the patterns for this apron soon in my Etsy shop. 😉
Thank you
And every sewist needs aprons to hold all her gadgets and stuff while she's working.
Very true! You can easily add vertical stitches to the pockets to create smaller compartments if desired 😉
