Good that you saved them. But you should quarantine them so they don’t give your other fish diseases or parasites. Feeders are massively produced in fish mills. Only for food so they don’t breed them for care.

The survival rate is soooo low from comet goldfish from these places... I get only a 20% survival rate.

Ok. Let me get something straight. Single tailed goldfish (commons, comets and shubunkins) get up to 18-24”. They are the closest you can get to their carp ancestors. For 2 they should have no less than a 180 gallon tank. The bare minimum for one single tailed goldfish is 150 gallons. They do much better in ponds, and fancy g9ldfish rules don’t apply to these guys. Many people recommend 20 gallon tanks (which couldn’t even house a single fancy goldfish) for these guys and it could not be more true. These fish are easily stunted because of being kept in small aquariums. They are pond fish, NOT tank fish
