Glow fish aren't dyed their genetically modified, they inject regular white skirt tetras with florescent genes found in coral and jelly fish. The fish that are injected don't glow but the fry are born with the florescent colors!
The fish you're thinking of are glass fish
There are two kinds of glo fish. The ones that are dyed and the ones that are genetically modyfied.
But both versions are banned in my country.
Stumack if the glow fish your taking about are clear those are the glass tetras.

Glofish are actually born with certain genes from cnidarians such as jellyfish and coral that makes them glow. The genes can be passed on to the offspring from the parents. No dye involved!

Glow fish have their Dna altered so they produce those colors.You might be thinking of glass tetras and I believe colored parrot cichlids like the unusual colors like pink and blue (bright red is Normal,mellow yellow is normal same with orange) are dyed.
Just a heads up Glo Fish are not dyed they are genetically bread and are born that way. Do your research

I dont personally go to pet smart because they treat their fish carelessly. However at my petco, they take really good care of their animals, take in rescues for reptiles, birds, fish, etc. And they are always working on the care of their stock. Not all petcos are bad, just most.

My local petsmart is a good one, there is a HUGE variety of fish to choose and the employees make sure you have the correct tank size for the fish you buy which is good

Glow fish are actually genetically modified using jellyfish and coral dna so they are indeed born with those colors and not using dye. The dyed fish are rarely found anymore as most people agree they are unethical. And while they don’t appeal to most adults, a lot of kids like them and it gets them interested in the aquarium hobby. Additionally some of us who work at these major chain pet stores work very hard to take care of the animals, including the fish, and to provide our customers with healthy, well cared for fish.

You should set up a live bearer tank and heavily plant it like a jungle. That’s what I did and I have plenty of breeding and it is pretty easy to maintain
I work there and the best selling fish are automatically stocked by inventory count. There are one or two different varieties randomly shipped each week when the least popular fishes get sold out

wyzemann I feel sorry for crickets the most, half the time the boxes are shipped in the corner of a freezing cold truck and about 500 are dead the next day. There is so much effort put into medicating sick fish that get received to us with ich parasites and fin rot already killing them. The hamsters frequently cannibalize each other and the reptiles and birds arrive frail from the vendors. At least I make enough for gas and groceries though (I have to work other jobs to help meet that goal)

And betas are easier to handle they don't need something so they can breathe
Actually bettas are very sensitive and you need a filter and a 5 gallon tank.

My PetSmart has Venustus, Red Texas Cichlids, Flowerhorn, and a huge variety of African cichlids besides assorted and assorted peacock.

303 Bassin what do you mean by a few if he’s small and he’s eating a minnow per day or 2 days that should be fine even though peacocks are quite gluttons but he shouldn’t be starving.Is your peacocks stomach bloated if so he might have internal parasites.This might sound dumb but do you have a heater and what size is your peacock?
THE HOLY BUTTFUNGUS peacock is about 3 inches and he ate 1 Minnow Friday 1 minnow day but since then 0. He did this last week and finally ate on Friday. Yes there’s a heater. He had ick and I’m treating him for it. It’s almost gone

303 Bassin I would say do a water change but on your recent vid it looks like you already have.Goldfish are bad feeders btw they have a chemical or compound of some sort in them that fish that eat them over and over again not being able to take in certain vitamins so your fish will wither away.Dont worry you don’t need to remove the gold fish since there are only a few and the issue only gets bad when they are continually eaten.The fish you described as a baby guppy they fairly plain looking fish with a black spot on it is a mosquito fish and breed aton so try to separate her to let her spawn her (end is black so she has babies currently)so you can have feeders that you know are healthy.Your peacock doesn’t seem skinny so he’s alright for the time being.Welp I’m gonna go back on the vid to see if I can spot anything.

You should really do your research about glow fish. They are acctuly a geneticly modified fish that was ment to be used to find imporitys in water then was bread to make more and the did not use dyes they used a serten protein from a jelly fish for the green and a different protien from coral to make red/pink. The ones with dye would be paint fish and you can tell they differance by the fact that paint fish are a glass fish with dye allong the bottum of its belly and top of its back and clear between the two were a glow fish is all one collor

My Pet Smart near me i feel like is so much better than this. We have piranhas, small sharks, fairly big catfish, and a bunch of other fish. They take good care of them from what I've seen.

GloFish are not dyed even though sometimes fish are GloFish were invented by a guy who spliced in jellyfish DNA to make them glow if you breed them there first few babies will glow but after a few times they loose their color and go back to normal I also don't like them but those are the facts
