- It is 40 years ago since Yngwie Malmsteen released Rising Force (and yesterday was his 61st birthday!) and to commemorate this pivotal album, I teamed up with Bare Knuckle Pickups (their Trilogy pickup set) and Kiesel Guitars (Delos model) and made this cover of Far Beyond the Sun. I think he wrote it well before that even. Some version of this exists on one of his early demos from when he still lived in Sweden.

Very impressive my friend. Yngwie is the reason I became obsessed with wanting to play guitar back in the day. I started playing around 1991 and have seen him live over 30 times and I’d say you play it cleaner than he has in the last ten years or more.

@@topsecret1837 Well, I’ve seen more than any other musician but his playing hasn’t been the same for years. But I still listen to his music, I think Relentless is maybe the last album I enjoyed.

Well, it makes everything in life better. I started lifting because I kept getting wrist pain from playing too much and that took care of it, never had a problem since then. Beyond that, I could give you a 100 reasons to why you should do it. Only positives.
@@johnhuldt Inspiring words. I noticed your tall (I'm 6 foot 8), and was curious if you had any issues like that. Mabye us tall guys need to lift weights due to our long limbs. Do you ever do the odd online lesson? Would love some feedback on my playing.

100% Folkesson. Han far Marshall att lata som man önskade att Marshall lat fran borjan. Har en JCM800 Mark VII med och det ar fantastiska grejer. Kan inte rekommendera tillräckligt mycket.

Yeah you know, I'm ok with that. I use this page to put my own stuff out there and I know there's ways to get the viewing numbers up but I'm not really interested in doing that. If people find me, awesome! If they don't, then so be it. My music will be here long after I'm gone and that really is what's important to me. I did this song because Rising Force was such an important record to me in my formative years. Thank you for watching!
