Don’t need to wreck them by drilling out! They are held in with single hex screws with a tiny spot weld to keep from unscrewing. This is cracked off easily with a hex bar. First thing I did when I got mine. Also the dB killers are so rudimentary that’s their removal makes little difference to a non cat race system.
sounds much better, but could you measure the db-change or at least the db-level after removal? It is possible to put the "db-eater" 😊 back to restore the legal sound?
@@fabrizioubertibona8962 you know. I was riding today . On the throttle…full gas then engine braking into the corner. Laughing my ass off. Had so much fun!!! Love this bike. Race exhaust sounds great. Think I’ll leave them in and just drive
Dude, they are screwed in from inside the baffle, they are spot welded to the baffle, just done mine easily, no drilling and the baffles slide right out to refit for a track day.
@@fabrizioubertibona8962 So were mine, that's just so they don't undo thru vibration as you can't use a threadloc, you can 'crack' the weld just undo with a stubby wrench, mine undid(?) nicely, the baffles might need cracking too as the bolt spot weld welds the baffle slightly.
A pain in the ass are riders who remove the db eater and cause more and more closed roads, sick citizens and harsh crackdowns from police and governments for all the other riders 🤦♂️🙄

I want to hear this in person, next time we ride.

You’re better than me :)
We tried, they wouldn’t come out like you said

Me fascina, la gente que acerca micro al escape, para oírlo mejor 😂😂😂😂 no se dan cuenta, que rompen el sonido.
It sounds really good
Coming from you… !!!!
Thank you man. I’ve been working non stop on this exhaust. I wish they made a real FULL exhaust for the Multi.
Hell yeah 🔥🔥
Precioso sonido💖✌😉

Good question Doc! I’ll record the DB level tomorrow. And yes, you could put the db killers back in if you want.
Nice! 👌
That for sure...👍
I bet it sound awesome in person, but the camera mic isn't giving it justice.
It never does 🤷♂️
Thats made such a difference... I went on a test ride on my Hyper vs Pikes Peak Multi and it sounded poor
so true
Can you record a video walking To get an idea of the noise? Looks like it turned out awesome
I’ll post a video later today 👍
Just posted a short showing DB
I dont have the db killers on my oem akrapovic on v4s. Nothing to remove and still sound auful.
Just got a full exhaust on a new pikes peak 2023. This is one bad ass bike. Does removing the DB killers make a significant difference? Worth it?
It makes some difference. Some. If you want real gain in sound skip the mid section

I have the pikes peak as well this not the full exhaust? So I can remove the db killer on mine?
The one shown is the aftermarket Akra Race exhaust. And yes, it’s not a full exhaust, it’s 2/3 (no full system available)
What kind of grips are those?
$14 on Amazon
No need to drill Allen key from inside.
Right. Unfortunately we had to, they were welded from the inside.
Decata or not ?
The Race Akra/Ducati exhaust for this bike doesn’t have a cat, but you’ll find a smaller box right before the slip on
@@fabrizioubertibona8962 thank you 😁
Great for the desert, maybe not so good for forest trails where you'll be scaring bears and elk for miles around.
Ahah true
1. No Forest trails with a Pikes Peak
2. I will be the one scared if I see a bear
