I have been reading Samuel and I was kind of confused as to how or why Saul had this seemingly drastic change of heart and soul. This video help tie up those lose ends and blessed me with the themes I was not catching. God bless everyone who works on this channel. It's very interesting that the name Saul is used for both an Old Testament man and a New Testament man. King Saul died but Saul, The Apostle died to himself. Huge difference but this teaches us just what to do with our pride!

    Love you and your videos.
The only thing scarier to me in the Bible than the story of Saul is the phrase
“Depart from me worker of iniquity, I never knew you”
Maybe that is part of the fear of the Lord and Saul lost his.
I pray I never lose mine.
    Thank you 🙏

    • @BibleUnbound
      @BibleUnbound  Рік тому +12

Sure but you should read the context of Matthew 7:23! All of the workers work iniquity because they put their hope, trust, and faith...in their self righteousness. Jesus says "build your house upon me" and it will be impossible for you to work iniquity. The fact that it worries you means you're nothing like Saul at all who was never once concerned about God's spirit upon him.

The relationship between Saul and David is amazing. The fact David allowed God to seek Vengeance on Saul is one of the greatest actions of faith. Because Saul was seeking David's life... Most people would seek to do their own will to destroy. But this is one of those mysterious sayings of God. We all claim to follow God, but would you really wait for God to seek Vengeance?
Well, David did. The man who sought after God's own heart. Although he wasn't a perfect man, he was clearly one of the best. This is why he was exhaulted, even above Saul, the first king of Israel.

David spared Saul's life by cutting his clothes in the cave and stealing his spear and jug in the camp, showing that he was in a killing position but chose not to. Jonathan also saved David by warning him about Saul's plan to kill him by shooting an arrow as a warning shot away from David's location giving him time to flee after the banquet trap that David didnt show up to.

I'm almost with you on that, the the thing that stumps me is every definition of person that I've found is human except one that reads "personality: self". God appeared in an image of a human before Christ but that was not a human being born of water. If Satan did the same thing in the garden, I'm not convinced that the definition of person can apply. I always said he entered a living vessel that God made to crawl and eat dust after the fall but you got me thinking about other possibilities.

It was Samuel that disobeyed God (1 Sam. 13:8) as he did not come to Gilgal at the appointed time. It was his sin that caused Saul to have to make a sacrifice or see his army scatter. Saul's job as king was to defend Israel not make animal sacrifices. He could not do that without an army. To undermine the army like Samuel did would have been an act of treason.

But Saul knew that he was ceremonial my unclean and went against the law to make the sacrifice.
Also, Saul placed his faith in an army rather than in God. He should have had the faith of Gideon when God reduced his army to 300 men in a battle against thousands.

Can someone help me fellow brethren? I don’t want to oppose God and forgive me Lord if my words and heart do.
But I’ve often felt that Saul was set up. As rebellious as he was, I don’t think he was as bad as he’s made out to be. God found ways to forgive David over and over and establish His kingdom through him.
Yet Saul was cursed from the start when that bad spirit came upon him. He was never gonna win. Why did that spirit come upon him right from when he was anointed?
Idk. Can someone please explain to me. I’ve always had a soft spot for Saul and it bothers me. I hate that I relate with someone who’s rebellious against God.

I thunk it is about the position of his heart. He always want to be in the good books of people without caring what God thinks about him, as long as his fame is intact. As for David, his heart is always after what God says, rather than what men thinks.

You cannot comprehend fully the scripture how it was written without understanding the political conflict between the tribe of Benjamin and the tribe of Judah, or the House of King Saul and the House of David. It’s mostly politics my friends. The tribe of Judah, the largest tribe and most powerful controlled the scribes. The northern tribes did not accept David as King. If king Saul was that evil as he is portrayed, the levites would not have sided with the tribe of Benjamin. The civil war between the two tribes or the two houses still exists to this day among the descendants. Again, majority of the remain of the 12 tribes did not accept David as King.

They prayed almighty God Yahweh mix up his mind and give king Saul wrong advise or they will all surely be defeated. As it happenrd, king Saul took another,'s advise. There and then ahithopel knew our creator god wants his king Saul to die. So he prepared his house and committed suicide to probably prepare heaven for king Saul to our God the Father. King Saul was a mistake King, Israel made a mistake asking for a King, like we people do today choosing ungodly leaders. They had everything good.God told them the behavior of the king,is it not the same to day?. There is what's called permissive will, which is not the perfect will of God and it leads to death. Sometimes we ask the Lord things which are only good to our eyes, then out of anger God provides. Some of us we regret our choices which we have to live with for the rest of our lives. Some of us our partners are a mistake sad but true.

I think there is plenty of evidence that the ghost of Samuel was not Samuel.
    1. God calls witches an abomination: God will not partake in things that are sinful.
    2. Satan uses disguises to fool people; demons have the power to do the same.
    3. In the story of Saul the bible says that God had not spoken to Saul in any way shape or form.
    4. God used priests, prophets, and sometimes he spoke audibly to the individual. God would not speak through a witch.
I think with these four facts alone we can confidently say that it was not Samuel.

There is reason to believe that high people of those era know the systems of the after life. They know a place heaven where the creatures of god will meet their creator. So do not think that, Abner let his enemy kill him because it's all over. That it's all over is mortal and temporary. Heaven is spiritual and everlasting.

Hi..😊 i paused it at 2:43, um. I believe the Bible i really do and thats where this questions comes from is can you imagine that if the snake that tempted Eve was just a basic snake not a dinosaur, because dinosaurs were on the Ark if you believe the Bible and so if it was a
    Snake ima
    imagine how
big it could have.. it could have been regular size yeah but what if it was larger than a python or small as a regular snake. But what if it was huge? Oh! Oh! What if it was a dinosaur with legs and since God cursed it to slither on its belly became a snake . The bible calls it a snake but was it a snake before or after it was cursed. Either way it had legs and could have been huge. Or regular.. just thinking out loud thought id try and entertain whoever may see this 😂❤ God is GOODPraise Yesuah ❤🎉 edit after watching the whole video.. um he says that Saul was a person, a regular person but what is it with these Psychotic kings like Saul, Pharoah in Exodus and king nebakenezer. To name a few. I know i miss spelled that horribly sorry. But whats up with these kings who just get to kill and murder whoever they want. Kinda Like our leader's now days. Always been that way mostly. Anyway king David was destined to be king after saul i mean the fact that he was jealous of david for being a badass says all. Its all a test, god test us all. Keep up the good fight everyone ❤

Pretty good video. Your youtuber, super serious, slow down, breathy voice is about 4000% overused. Like, it’s bad. It makes half of what you say seem completely fake and disingenuous. Maybe back that down a notch. Decent interpretation.

In Islam Saul is thalut..he was choosen by Allah but Israelite at that time deny him for poorness..
    U can read ur own.
Their prophet told them, “Allah has appointed Saul1 to be your king.” They protested, “How can he be our king when some of us are more deserving of kingship than he, and he has not been blessed with vast riches?” He replied, “Allah has chosen him over you and blessed him with knowledge and stature. Allah grants kingship to whoever He wills. And Allah is All-Bountiful, All-Knowing.”
Their prophet further told them, “The sign of Saul’s kingship is that the Ark will come to you-containing reassurance1 from your Lord and relics of the family of Moses and the family of Aaron,2 which will be carried by the angels. Surely in this is a sign for you, if you ˹truly˺ believe.”
    SAHIH INTERNATIONAL
And when Saul went forth with the soldiers, he said, “Indeed, Allah will be testing you with a river. So whoever drinks from it is not of me, and whoever does not taste it is indeed of me, excepting one who takes [from it] in the hollow of his hand.” But they drank from it, except a [very] few of them. Then when he had crossed it along with those who believed with him, they said, “There is no power for us today against Goliath and his soldiers.” But those who were certain that they would meet Allah said, “How many a small company has overcome a large company by permission of Allah. And Allah is with the patient.”

Factually incorrect. Samuel was jealous that he's no longer the top dog. God regrets that he has chosen Saul? LMAO. David fought with the enemy and committed murders, adultery. Think out of the box and don't always trust the words of the writer.

Saul was a good man, everything he says about him is lies and fabricated, why would God choose a man to follow for the people that is corrupted.

I thought about this, and if you believe that the summoned spirit of Samuel was indeed Samuel, which I do, 1 Samuel 28:19 KJV has Samuel telling Saul that the latter will join the former. I'm pretty dang sure Samuel goes to heaven, so that's how I came to believe that Saul goes to heaven.

I dont like the fact you say "God's devil" You made it seem like he created evil. God DID NOT CREATE EVIL NOR SIN. It's true that satan WAS an angel but satan wanted to be like God he wanted everything God had and satan himself TURNED EVIL.

This is the proof Bible is corrupted, How can God select a wrong person as King. I have e heard multiple versions and came to know Soul( Talut) was a righteous king, whatever the wrong doing associated with him are false, he was the one who worked for God's commandments but the people are so sinful that every time they betray their promises and demands something new. So please before making such videos do read other sources too, thx

Why can't people just neutrally give an account of these ancient stories? You're obviously trying to influence people's thoughts with your weird facial expressions and quirks. I want a factual recounting of the events that take place in the book. Not someone's personal perspective on the story.

Oh! Some great recommendations for other channels telling these stories would be:
      • BibleProject (really factual!)
      • Mike Winger (more theological)
      • 10 Minute Bible Hour (also quirky!)
