    There was a Slayer VHS from like 30 years ago called "Live Intrusion". I remember (I think it was) Kerry talking about guitar speed and he said "Never try to play something you can't do with your voice" or something to that affect. Never in my wildest imagination did I think Matt Garstka would be able to do his drum parts vocally. That's not even right. What the hell?

    Gordian Naught would be a cool one to do next. The part where it switches between 5 and 4/4 And the stack pattern changes the second time around is so sick. But on a serious note can you breakdown Asahi? :)

    This is my favorite track from the album. Nice video. You probably don't know but here in Brazil everytime we talk about incredible drummers in groups of metal you are named among them. Your work is really nice to appreciate.

    This is my favorite song on the album as well. It starts out with this melodic movement, and then it takes off like a Space X rocket! Thanks for the breakdown, not that I am any where near this level yet, but it helps to know how you come up with these songs. Peace out

    all i can say is very awesome breaking down the composition. being a drummer myself and listening to you guys i always catch myself thinking "man how in the hell did they come up with that". so....questions being answered and mind being blown. been playing over 20 years and ya make me feel like a beginner. amazing and thank you for all that you do brother. 👍🏻

    the open hi-hat part of the groove reminds me of the open hi-hat motif in schism during the verse.

    Loving these breakdowns matt, really brings a new light to these songs. As a guitarist I get caught up with everything tosin/javier are doing, but honestly I think your rhythms are really what make animals as leaders what it is

    Conflict Cartography is one I'm very curious about, love that dugudu-digidi dugudu-digidi rhythm section (best way I can describe it) would love to see a composition analysis on that one

      This song for me was the hardest to follow. I still liked very much, but was the one i liked less. I have to listen more times. But the others clicked instantly, this album is an absolute masterpiece.

    This is def my favorite track on the album. I love that Matt had a bit more creative control/input and got to build on what started out as just an intro idea. I also love the omega edge-lord chair. It must be one of the totems from which he draws his unhuman drumming powers... Bout to buy me one of them janks.
