Correction: Top 10 *American* Educational Kids Shows. I'm from Australia and I haven't heard of half of these. America isn't the whole world...
So because YOU havent heard about that means they shouldnt get praised? Why would you expect them to include shows from countries they are not from? That would be alienating their main viewer base.
*****
Notice how I said MAIN viewer base. Not ENTIRE viewer base. I think its pretty obvious that most of their fanbase is American.
They shouldnt. Unless it says otherwise you should assume its most likely American.
*****
I think the fact that most of their videos are from an American view point is proof enough. I also think they said this in a video somewhere. Nit sure though.
An international viewer base. I'm from the UK, so that's people on both sides of the planet that watch this. The point that Hayden is making is that they should have specified American. I'll bet an English, Australian or many other nations Top Ten would get a similar reaction if they didn't specify their own country.
I made the same point when they did Top Ten Comediennes and they ignored so many women from other countries who are funnier than most on their list.
I know Arthur and magic school bus, and sesame street, but that's about it. and what the fuck is Yo Gabba Gabba. I thought that was a kids show from south park, from the episode where Ike takes drugs making him go through puperty. and he wants to make love to the female character. and I thought conjuction junction was a Family Guy joke (Cutaway gag from season 1 or 2.) from the episode where peter is in charge of the schools sex educational program.
(Vagina junction, whats your function. Taking in sperm and spitting out babies XD)
No Horrible Histories either. best educational show for history ever!
I freaking LOVED Arthur, The Berenstain Bears, Zoboomafoo, Reading Rainbow, The Magic School Bus, Mister Rodgers Neighborhood, Blue's Clues, and Bill Nye the Science Guy back when I was a kid. Those were the days.
I also would have liked to see Liberty's Kids, Book of Virtues, Cyberchase, ZOOM, Jay Jay the Jet Plane, Dragon Tales, Between the Lions, and Bob the Builder. somewhere on this list. Oh the nostalgia....
they definity need to make Another Top 10 Educational Kids Shows list.
Is Dragon Tales an educational TV show?
You forgot SciGirls, Newton's Apple, 3-2-1 Contact, Ghostwriter, Square One, Winx Club, Sofia the First, Captain Planet, Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego, The World of David the Gnome, Clarissa Explains It All, Power Rangers and Chip & Dale's Rescue Rangers.
Brandon Reina power rangers and winx club don't educate.
Brandon Reina Sofia the First doesn't educate.
How about Wordgirl ?
idk why but Mr. Rogers always tears me up now. i was sad when i heard he had passed away. imma get his show and blue's clues and show it to my son.
Anybody else remember Between The Lions?
OMG That was my show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The nostalgia!!!!! I still wonder what happened to the cliffhanger guy...?
"Hey now, hey wow. Here's how; come and read between the lions!.."
I loved that show
OMG YASSSS
Mister Rogers is a fucking hero. I love him. He never ever talked down to his audience. If I have kids, that shits gonna be on every screen in the fucking house.
I miss Mister Rogers. ;(
he's dead?
Yeah he really did seem like a nice guy, but I could not stand the make believe puppet stuff, because even as a kid I found a lot of strange, and would ask my grandmother why a guy has his hand up a piece of cloth talking like a girl lol!
Sadly yes but he will live on in the hearts of many
He actually mentioned in an interview just how important to him it was to talk to kids like they were equals.
Anyone else remember Wishbone?
YESSS! I HAD ONE OF THE GAMES THAT CENTERED AROUND GREEK MYTHOLOGY (mostly the Odyssey)
Yucannt Hahvitt I do
Me too.
Me! 🤘
Nope sorry.
I'm not a 90s kid. I did watch a lot of the 90s shows on reruns (Reading Rainbow, Zoboomafoo, etc.), but I definitely watched a lot of the newer shows like Cyberchase, Maya and Miguel, Arthur, The Berenstain Bears, Fetch!, Between the Lions, Adventures from the Book of Virtues, ZOOM, The Zula Patrol, Sagwa, Redwall, Jay Jay the Jet Plane, Dragon Tales, and Bob the Builder.
Oh God. My childhood is flashing in front of me. I NEED to watch these shows again! Those shows were the absolute shit! I watched those RELIGIOUSLY when I was 3-10. PBS will always be the best kids channel to ever exist. Fuck Disney Channel, Nickelodeon, and Cartoon Network. THIS is the channel to watch for your kids. I know when i have kids I will have these shows on screen for these kids to watch always.
You just named practically every show I watched as a kid.
Wishbone was amazing! Does anyone remember the animated version of "Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?" I would always watch it on t.v. while eating breakfast before going to school. I feel so lucky that some of the best shows for kids were created in the early and mid 90s.
OMG The Nostalgia!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yoooo I forgot jayjay
Anybody else remember Liberty's Kids? I loved that show so much.
mrs frizzle.
uses magic to teach science

*Ms. Frizzle

Ah, but it's not magic. You see... Mrs. Frizzle may be a Timelord.

Here we go again…
The bill to law song on School House Rock has been stuck in my head since time to time for 4 years.
mrsuns10
There wasn't enough pork to feed him. The bill died of malnutrition. :/
That and conjunction junction. After my fourth grade teacher showed me conjunction junction, our entire class became obsessed with it.
BorezU And who can forget The Great American Melting Pot?
My grandpa was in that! (Third drowning guy from the left)
Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends (created by Wilbert W. Audrey in 1945 and introduced to American televisions in 1984 and still runs today) should've been number 1 or near. Thomas the Tank Engine was my ENTIRE childhood! I had almost ALL of the trains! Aw, the memories!! 😊
Little Bill was the most underrated educational kids show ever.
CHILDHOOD MEMOIRS
True
yeeeeaaaahhhh that comment didnt really age well now did it?
That show gives a hole new type of vibe nowadays....
Yesss!
Blues Clues was an honorable mention(a crime in and of itself), and you used a clip with JOE!? STEVE made Blues Clues good! Watchmojo,
YOU FAIL!
agreed. We had more Steve tapes than Joe tapes when I was little, as the house consensus was that Joe stunk.
I agree. Steve was much better than Joe. Joe ruined the show sort of for me.
I honestly think Cyberchase deserved a spot :3
TheShamalo It even had a little show in the middle! OMG that show was bae.
Luma at Heart yeah I don't like bill nye anymore after what bill did.
in case you don't know he dismissed science to not offend people who think there are an infinity number of genders
Cyberchase was the shit
Luma at Heart cyber chase and bear in the big blue house
Cyberchase isn't on this list! Highway robbery !
I'm pretty sure everyone alive has seen Schoolhouse Rock Bill of Rights song
I've only seen Rufus Xavier Sarsaparilla tbh
Tommy Trillfiger it’s my favorite song
Yes, I’m school
I’ve seen it.
I had the entire collection on DVD when I was a kid, and I loved all of it.
I wasn't even alive in the 70s but I grew up watching school house rock.
you forgot about The Busy World of Richard Scary, Little Bill, Little Bear, Rupert, and all the other shows on Nick Jr.
I loved little bear as a kid...I was kinda weirded out a little when I found out one of the writers for that show is the one that wrote Hunger Games
I have so many little bear movies burnt on DVDs.
I loved The Busy World of Richard Scary! And Little Bear :)
Awesome!!
Where... The HELL is Thomas the Tank Engine? That was literally one of the best ones.
I know it is really best one we don't know why but if they make a 2nd Top 10 Educational kids shows he should definitely be added there. Because that's my favorite kids show.
Great list but I'm a bit disappointed not to have seen Wishbone on here
I loved wishbone! That shows the only reason I ever knew who Shakespeare was and what the Tale of Two Cities was as a kid.
RIP Soccer the dog.
ARTHUR?! OH MY GOD. CHILDHOOD MEMORIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Arthur's Fist
Liam Catterson oh my gosh me too. Oh how I loved Aurthur when I was younger. 😃😃😃
He is not even cool
Basically ur pbg
LIBERTYS KIDS?!!? THE BACKYARDIGANS!?!!?!?!?!!?!? C'MON WATCHMOJO!
Mykah Boggs Liberty Kids is the reason why I LOVE Early American History. I watched it ALL THE TIME as a child, and it actually still have helped me years later.
Liberty's Kids - that theme song is still a bop!
QUARTERMASTEREMI6 Yes, my #1 best show from childhood! Here are my top 3 best shows from childhood that I watch on weekends: #3-iCarly, #2-Wizards of Waverly Place, #1-Liberty’s Kids These 3 shows have always been my go-to shows during the coronavirus outbreak!
I loved liberty’s kids, and my sister loved the Backyardigans.
@@JAF1323 I am watching Liberty's Kids right now as we speak, and let me tell you, that show is a gem. Right now, we are helping Pittsburgh's Perfect Parties client Rachel Luster with her Food Fest Sleepover and the 5 girls just decorated their aprons to look like the 5 food groups.
I always found it amazing how _Sesame Street_ (a show aimed preschoolers) dealt with the topic of death. Specifically, the death of actor Will Lee (Mr. Hooper) in 1982. Despite some people saying they should avoid the topic and say Mr Hooper retired and moved away or some such, they tackled it head-on. One of the the most heart-wrenching episodes of a children's education shows ever.
My favorite Sesame Street episode was Learning About Letters from 1986.
@419Films, I 💯% agree with you!
WatchMojo, I’m surprised “The Electric Company”, which was geared toward elementary school kids. It starred Rita Moreno, Luis Avalos, Morgan Freeman, etc. There were songs, skits, cartoons, etc., didn’t get at least an Honorable Mention.
@@ninademci1500 The Electric Company is the reason I'm a Morgan Freeman fan. His Dracula scared the crap of of me as a kid. 😂
@@ninademci1500I'm with you there! Even years later as a 55 year old man, I still enjoy it.
Where the hell is jersey shore? I learned some valuable life lessons from that shit.
Yep always wear a condom! Lol Of course unless she's Oprah
Same here, I just preferred "keeping up with the kardasians"
I learned fashion and sex tapes are important moral lessons!
Yeah, do not under any circumstances act like the people on this show.
No, if I remember correctly, lessons 1 through 4 had something to do with hot tubs...
Wait, why?
My favorites as a child were Dragon Tales, Between the Lions, and Out of the Box.
I forgot about those but yeah they were great
Mine were Pinky Dinky Doo, Dora, Madeline and Word Girl. Loved learning the new words.
Mine where Thomas and friends and Mickey Mouse clubhouse
I'm showing my age but my vote is for Captain Kangaroo. It was gently done with dignity. I remember him reading books like Curious George and the Giant Jam Sandwich. I remember when Mr Roger's visited the Treasure House. Also, I too liked Reading Rainbow.
Blues clues! My childhood favourite
Mine too, I loved watching it on vhs 📼
I was a big fan of Magic School Bus, Arthur, and Sesame Street. I also remember vaguely Z'boomafu and Bill Nye and Reading Rainbow as a kid.
PBS rocked in the 90s for kids.
Wait....why the heck is LIBERTY'S KIDS not on here!? Heck even Reading between the Lions, not on here?
But heck I am glad school house rock got on here, got the DVD of it! Boy did my mom love those clips, and now I love them too. I felt like that should have been number one...but I just knew Sesame Street would be number one.
Chickie456 thank you!
Chickie456 what about little einstein? That one was one of my favorites
Knew Sesame Street would be number one. But School House Rock should be higher on the list. I'm in college and I still remember a lot of the songs and they help me a lot.
Both of my daughters are in high school. The weekend before they had mid-terms, they watched our DVD of "Schoolhouse Rock".
Cosmina Disney+ needs to air something like that.
@@akrzton1 they did
@@sarahmcmann5253 I saw that. That’s great!
Top ten TV shows inside TV shows? Like "The Itchy & scratchy Show" from The Simpsons for example.
Great idea
Tell them on their website.
Terrence and Philip ftw
Sick Sad World from Daria
Thanks everyone! I suggested it :)
I remember watching Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego all the time as a kid! As an adult, I now realize I watched a lot of Canadian shows growing up (there were SO many good series..things on TVO, CBC, YTV, etc)...Some of the shows on this list were actually American-Canadian productions (Arthur, Magic School Bus)...and of course the Canadian PMK. Sigh...feeling so nostalgic.
Yo Gabba Gabba is real? I thought they were made up for a South Park episode.
I mean, it totally felt like the sort of thing that gets made up on the spot for a show like South Park.
South Park is the king of parody, you think they'd make a fake show?
Joel Rayburn
Of course not, I thought Yo Gabba Gabba was on the same level as Cheesy Poofs or Terrence and Phillip.
they almost never make stuff up :P
yeah. i'm as suprised as you guys about yo gabba gabba. doesn't Ike take hormone drugs, or go through puperty in that episode and become a teenager. and he gets off with the female character. LOL
Yeah, and it's crap. (YGG, South Park is great)
So much memories ! :) I remember waking up turning on the tv and going on PBS after my mom went to work and watching all these shows till hours on end! Man, makes you realize that those days are over :/ all you have now is the feel of how it used to be
You're JUST NOW realizing that those days are over?...
And on a side note: Those days aren't completely over. Wait until you have a kid. It'll all come flooding back!
Thomas and friends I loved that show I watch it sill to this very day
*forced to watch bill nye for science class in 6th grade*
I've been forced to watch that show in my middle school years.
(Both of them)
School house Rock #9? Are you kidding me? Best educational show ever! For kids of my generation everyone learned key facts on science, government or grammar from that show. Still today I can hear the songs in my head.
I would HAPPILY sing I'm Just A Bill (wanted to be a judge or lawyer in middle school) or Great American Melting Pot (mixed race-but-whiter than a piece of paper female) at karaoke.
C'mon blues clues should have been ranked a number. But at least it gets an honorable mention.
I grew up watching Arthur every morning and honestly never knew it was educational :D it is one of the only shows I can still watch today.
Lmao remember when Arthur punched DW. I laughed when the sky changed to thunder and lightning like the world was gonna end cuz Arthur was gonna punch her
So did I. They don’t make children’s television like that anymore 😢
I was hoping Blue's Clues would make the list. But at least it was honorably mentioned.
Blue’s Clues was my favorite things to watch in my childhood.
They oughta bring my boi Steve back from College. Joe ruined it
thunderstar1124 well, the series ended in 2004. However Nickelodeon said they’re rebooting it with a new host. Which is good news!
Blues clues is terrible to me
And in ten minutes my childhood flashed before my eyes.
Where is my beloved "Electric Company"???
I loved that show. Now all we have of it is....PRANKSTER FUCKING PLANET. GODDAMN IT.
I am surprised they overlooked it.
My mom used to watch that. She said it taught her how to read.
Yes. The original is one of the greatest shows ever.
Except for Sid, and Yo Gabba Gabba, I watched all of these! I would add in Zoom, wishbone, Little Bear, and Gullah Gullah Island to the list, as well.
In fact, I'm such a nerd, I'm 26 and watching the magic school bus on Netflix right now. TV for kids was so much better years ago.
Yes to all you mentioned! And your not alone in neediness...I'm 25 and I love watching these old shows from time to time (especially introducing my little cousins to them) and while the Wild Krats will never replace Zaboomafoo it really is an awesome kids show too...I watch it a lot wen when my cousins aren't around lol
That was meant to be nerdiness not neediness
Zoom
I remember the theme song
and that strange language they had
Zoom,and Wishbone
school house rock was my all time fav - especially Conjunction Junction what's your function. OOOoooweee man talk about good times.
arthur workman it’s my favorite too
ZOBOOMAFOO WILL ALWAYS BE #1 IN MY HEART
Who are you?
Neat
My favorites when i was a kid was blue'sclues(steve), zooboomafoo, Arthur, Schoolhouse rock, sesame street and what else ah yes
BETWEEN THE LIONS!
Come on between the lions was popular i just don t get it like if you agree
Oh yeah there is FUCKING DORA!
There needs to be a PBS Kids/Kideo list of shows! Below is someone named Marlon Small who issued a suggestion for Top 10 PBS Kids Shows. Support it and maybe they will do it!
Can't believe Between the Lions isn't even mentioned. Cliffhanger was the best thing ever
OMG i remember between the lions so well!
Yaaaaaaaaas!! 😰😰😰
Shining Time Station was the one for me... (Season 1 with Ringo Starr)
Yeah baby
I forgot about that one. After Ringo, the conductor was George Carlin.
@@kevinpayton2664 Yup....everything now a days is just so dumbed down..my god...
thank you watchmojo i was just looking for zoobomafoo but because i was top young i coulndt remember its name but you guys made it into the video, special thanks
i mean too young
The weird thing is: the only thing I remember from that show was the disclaimer at the end: Never go near animals unless a grown-up says its okay. :P

IN OUR FAVORITE ROCKET SHIP
ZOOMING THROOOOUGH THE SKY
LITTLE EINSTEINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Climb aboard
Get ready to explore
There's so much to find
Little Einsteins
Almost forgot about Sesame Street, and got so mad when Blue' s Clues was only in honorable mentions
conjunction junction whats your function
to make the best top 10 list ever!!!!!!
You wonder how Sesame Street is still fresh after all these years?
Very much yes.
I’m surprised it’s even on this long
There are still new episodes to this day.
Thank you watch mojo. That clip of mister rogers talking about how everyone is different, therefore special, was motivational.
I'm glad shows that I watched on PBS Kids growing up like Arthur on Mister Rogers' Neighborhood are on this list, but I'm confused how Thomas and Friends didn't get an honorable mention at the least.
Zoboomafu, Magic School Bus and Bill Nye = best scientific shows ever.
And Go Diego Go and Stanley
I have SO MUCH favorite educational shows. The Doodlebops, Big Comfy Couch, Fetch! With Ruff Ruffman, and MANY MORE!
I really think Horrible Histories should be here some where, it was educational and was actually really funny, a lot better then the other kids programs that are on cbbc :P
it was actually very well done as a sketch show with songs that were pretty memorable and funny
I think lists like this are based more on American TV shows since the US is a much bigger country.
I agree. I was pretty old when it came out but my siblings watched it and couldn't help but watch it too. It was very well done.
pipfantasy yeah i just went back and rewatched an old ep, just as funny as I remember, do you perchance know anyone who can make gifs? just found a great scene
Even though I'm nearly 18 and HH was aired a few years ago I too enjoyed the show. Really funny, good pop cultural references, but most of all, really, REALLY informative.
Ha, we just saw a clip of one of those in World Histories class recently! (I'm a ninth grader :P)
Zoboomafoo and Blue's Clues were my favorites when I was little, so many memories 😊
My favourite was Little Einsteins.
I love those shows too!
I Remember Watching,&,Loving Arthur,Schoolhouse Rock!,Zoboomafoo,The Magic School Bus,Bill Nye The Science Guy,Mister Rogers' Neighborhood,Popular Mechanics For Kids,&,Blue's Clues When I Was Younger,&,Heck Sometimes While Watch Reruns Just For The Nostalgia Factor
No I'm not singing the Magic School bus theme right now what are you talking about... .>
Know the feeling. The reading rainbow song is going to be stuck in my head for a week now because of this video
It's time to take chances, make mistakes, get messy!
This brought my childhood except the ones from 2005-present
I thought watermelons expired after like 3 weeks.
I found the watermelon fountain of youth :3 IM IMORTALLLLLLLL
YTK Power!!! (I’m usually an old soul, but heck…)
I'm glad to see Arthur,
Reading Rainbow, Mr. Roger's Neighborhood, and Sesame Street are on the list. I would also humbly recommend Liberty's Kids, Between the Lions, Wishbone, Ghost Writer, Square One Television, and Cyberchase.
How about a top 10 Worst educational kids shows?
Barney would be perfect for this list.
WHAT THE.. NO CYBER SPACE?!
And no Barney and Friends?
I think you mean Cyber Chace and yha I was kinda wondering the same thing considering it's still running.
Oh! I remember that show! But wasn't it called Cyberchase? Unless we're thinking of different shows.
THAT SHOW IS THE BOMB
Kids show featuring a talking purple bird, three kids and a baddie named hacker...is that what you were thinking of?
Others:
George Shrinks
Captain Kangaroo
Cyberchase
Maurice Sendak's Seven Little Monsters
The Busy World of Richard Scarry
Dragon Tales
The Electric Company (The Good One)
Zoom
Fetch! With Ruff Ruffman
you gotta wonder what ever happened to those kids from ruff ruffman. i think they all lived in the boston area
Ok, this is a long shot, but here goes anyway. When I was a little bastard, for about a week, I was able to pick up a Canadian TV signal even though I live in America. On this channel aired an educational show much like Beakman's world mentioned in this video. It featured a "mad-scientist" and his kid sidekick. The difference is that it not only talked about science, but the BIBLE as well O_O For example, they would first explain the scientific reason why it rains, and then they would explain what God had to do with it. It was the strangest goddamn thing I had ever seen, but I would watch it everyday. Since it was about 12 years ago, I don't remember the name of this show, so I need you guys to thumb up this comment so as many people as possible can tell me the name. Or if you think you know the title, let me know, because I just KNOW someone had to upload it to youtube at some point, and we can watch it together :D lol
folks i do believe we have a rare show to hunt down
what about cyberchase, liberty's kids, Octonauts, and between the Lions
I used to watch liberty‘s kids and the Octonauts.
@@JAF1323 Liberty's Kids is my top favorite as I am watching the show right now, and the next activity at Pittsburgh's Perfect Parties client Rachel Luster's Food Fest Sleepover right now will be a Friendship Cookbook with everybody's favorite recipes.
The Nervous System episode of School House Rock not only helped me figure out how seizures work, but that and 8:07 that episode of The Magic School Bus made an 8 year girl old fall in love with epidemiology. :)
To UK viewers..
Does anyone remember El Nombre in the early to mid 1990s... this little western gopher dude who drew numbers in the sand. "El Nombreeeeeee!!!" :-)
No.
I do. "El Nombre I have a serious problem. I cannot count to seven." "Do not worry little one. El Nombre will help you." :)
holy shit that was to so long ago, wow im old...
Yep
OMG! Yes, he used to shuffle in the sand to draw the number!
Also, Berenstein Bears was THE SHIT. Should've made it to the list.
Agreed
My aunt was a famous news reporter, who visited many places. One of the places she visited with Sesame Street. She literally had Elmo sing to her. It’s really cool to watch. I just thought I would put that out there.
The Magic School Bus and Bill Nye The Science Guy are my jam!
LuckNateTV mine too
Mine are Little Einsteins, Dora, Word Girl, Pinky Dinky Doo, I Spy, Arthur, Between the Lions, Big Blue House, Blue’s Clues, Madeline, Diego, Stanley, Reading Rainbow and Oobi.
What do you think of Sid?
NO HORRIBLE HISTORIES?!?!!? Maybe you haven't heard of it over in USA but it is one of the best shows I have watched to date. (Not THE best, mind)
Hear, hear
Got to agree with you there
PREACH! but good point should be top 3
Ugh, I read the books and loved them, but I never saw the show. I wanted to see it so badly!
I agree! I love Horrile Histories!
All of these shows are American, and I only knew a couple. But when I came across the ones I knew (especially the Magic School Bus and Sesame Street) a massive wave of happiness and nostalgia came over me, and I didn't care. I'm still giggling at how awesome those shows were.
WIGGLES, CRASHBOX, THOMAS, AND DEAR GOD NO BLUES CLUES?!?!
Blues clues is an honourable mention
Why is Sid the Science Kid on this list?! It’s creepy and gives me the chills!
Are Jay Jay the Jet Plane, Hi-5, Cubeez and Out of the Box not popular educational kids shows? Watchmojo needs another list, there are simply too many kids shows that teach young children about growing up in this world. Who's with me?
Jay jay the jet plane was creepy,hi-5 was OK but out of the box is and was the shit
I enjoyed Hi 5. Bear in the big blue house was mpbetter though
Jay Jay the Jet Plane is number 1....
FOR THE WORLD'S CREEPIEST KIDS SHOWS!!!!!
Persassy Jackson fan?! :3
I always fantasized Jay Jay the Jet plane getting gunned down from the sky from a MiG, or a F15
Dang, the nostalgia is overwhelming; except for that Sid show I watched all of these in reruns. Wish you had Cyberchase or ZOOM up here too ^^ I remember playing the online games for all the shows too.
It'd be cool to go back and watch these old shows again, but I worry that they won't have the same impact as they did when I was 5 :(
Come Outside was very educational. Even for adults! I loved this show so much. Numberjacks, helps younger children with there maths and problem solving. If 5 wasnt in there that show would be nothing thx 5. Do You Know? Similar to Come Outside but Do You Know covers 2 types of questions each in 15 minutes, How does it work? How is it made? Come Outside focuses on one topic like how crisps are made or sometimes a vlog and talk about whats happened or what they have found, which all became very educational. All of this should be on there.
What about Thomas the Tank Engine (90s) Out of the Box Between the Lions and Fetch with Ruff Ruffman?
Sure. you can.
"Electric Company" is my JAM. Although the reboot didn't measure up.
And the "Schoolhouse Rock" based episode of "Johnny Bravo" about him learning how to be romantic is one of the best things that came out of it. :D
And little Jay Baruchel and Elisha Cuthbert! :)
C is for cookie!! No big surprise that Sesame Street is no. One.
Top 10 tv showes that used real life models. 10.postman pat 9.? 8.? 7.? 6.? 5.? 4.? 3. Thedore tugboat 2.pingu 1.thomas the tank engine.
Doctor who in the 60's-80's
Also Andy pansy rocked (although I was only around for the remake)
Wallace and Gromit
Out of all 15 (counting the honorable mentions) educational kids shows shown on this playlist, 2/3 of them are my favorites.
3-2-1 contact? Electric Company? At the very least Electric Company that pretty much was the follow up to Sesame street for like.. ever!!! Common mojo.
Sesame Street isn't over. It isn't a follow-up if they run at the same time.
okay no idea what you mean.. but either Way Electric company was an amazing kids show. I mean it had freaking Bill Cosby and Morgan Freeman I watched it every day as a kid along side Sesame street.. and it has had a longer run then 3/4 the shows mentioned here.
What about cyberchase?
Common? Mojo?
OneBigBugga Every time I see Morgan Freeman, I keep picturing him doing his "Easy Reader" song in my head.
In my childhood I watch Sesame Street,Blue's clues with Mister Rogers Neighbors and reading rainbow and I grew with the magic school bus and Bill Nye the science guy!
It's all of these pbs kids shows I watched when I was little, now that I am 20 I still remember these shows.
Liberty's Kids? :(
And Crashbox!!
I loved Liberty's Kids when u was younger!!!!!!
Looking at life through my own eyes....wait...DAMN IT!
I loved it but I guess it didn't cover many other topics besides the American Revolution and British history
OMG I loved that show it taught me evrything about history. I used to think Sarah and James were a thing :3.
Blues Clues is my Number 1
I'm glad that Blue's Clues was at least an honorable mention. It was somehow very educating than what some people out there think. It actually taught important lessons about handling feelings, emotions, and imagination. It even taught some aspects of science. Also, that show was inspired by Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood. Even Mr. Rogers himself loved the show. Furthermore, Mr. Rogers mentored one of the Co-Creators of Blue's Clues.
Doctor Who (William Hartnell era mainly as that's how it was originally intended, a history programme for kids. Yeah it had a few BEM moments here and there, but the show didn't go full sci-fi until the Patrick Troughton era)
mentioned the same thing myself :) but sadly, they didn't include it.
***** actually, it WAS a kids show!
Doctor Who is, and always will be, a family show, meaning it can appeal to both younger and older audiences. It had two main spin-offs, Sarah Jane Adventures, which is more aimed at kids since it's on CBBC (though it can also appeal to older fans because of its brilliant writing and references to the classic series), and Torchwood, which is aimed primarily at adults.
What? No "Horrible Histories"?
You know a show was good when seeing it mentioned on WatchMojo brings a smile to your face. "Magic School Bus" taught me how deserts come to be (Rain shadow) and I'll never forget that.
OMG I LOVED ZABOOMAFOO WHEN I WAS REALLY LITTLE!!! THANK YOU WATCHMOJO FOR BRINGING THAT ONE UP AT #8!!! :) :) :) :) :) :)
Erin Christie there is a ripoff called wild kratts which has a hot girl!
I love the Kratt Brothers and that show is Zoboomafoo.
Erin Christie I actually got introduced to the Kratt Brothers from the show Wild Kratts
@@hoaquach7047 I don't think its a ripoff they made it themselves plus that is what I watched more
Never ending Sesame Street.
I grow up with Sesame St.
I was concerned that Mister Rogers' Neighborhood was only #2, but I agree Sesame Street has the longevity and the history, and never was used as competition. In fact, they even crossed over a few times. now that I think of it,... both Bill Nye and LeVar Burton were guests of Mr. Rogers too, weren't they? ^_^
Barney, Bear in the Big Blue House, Blues Clues, Little Bill, Rolie Polie Olie, Noddy....The List goes on.
Sesame Street has lost so much of its educational content over the years. Also, allowing to all kids to win, and make everything about them, they don't learn how to cope when they do lose at something. I wonder too about the Electric Company. That was a great show.
I know this comment is six years old but I decided to reply. I grew up in the 2000s when Elmo was the boss on Sesame Street. I watched a lot of the older episodes, and they were far more educational and way better. I’ve seen clips of the electric company in that one looks cool as well.
I know
C is for cookie that's good enough for me
Man, I'm a wuss. When Mr. Rodgers said "There is no person in this whole world who is a mistake, no matter how different that person my seem. Each person is fine.", I got hit by the feels.
I am kind of surprised that Veggie Tales wasn't at least on the honorable mentions. And I am talking about the older Veggie Tales, not the current Veggie Tales. The current Veggie Tales is so different and it has changed so drastically that it is just not fun to watch for even a minute.
I know. They completely ruined the character designs.
CurlyGirl123451 ikr
I completely agree....old veggie tales was lit.
where's Happy Tree Friend? it taught you how to stay alive
Wait a minute ... zoobomafoo is evolving * insert pokemon evolving theme *
Congratulations zoobomafoo evolved into the kratt brothers
anybody with a brain would've already knew that Sesame Street was gonna be #1, lmao & "Between the Lions" should've at least been an honorable mention
