I often go and sit in the country cemetery which is near where I used to live as I find it peaceful there...not morbid at all. Must be so wonderful to know you can stay for a month and what a nice chance for your m-in-law to have that time with you all!
When I shop, I divide our grocery list among all the children (divide and conquer) then we meet back up at the checkout. Also, each child gets to pick "one thing" they choose to add to the cart.
Hi Jennifer-Your schedule is like mine. . . I work in the mornings. Todays chores include leaf blowing and tidying up my patio. I am an artist, and in the afternoons, I draw and paint. Hope you are having a great summer. England must be a very lovely place.
When my children were little I never took them to the grocery store. When my youngest daughter was in middle school we went to the store she was walking around amazed. She said with amazement “this is what a grocery store is like.” 🤦🏾♀️😂 I couldn’t believe she had never been inside.
My daily planning is journaling. I write out to do's like a brain dump. Then I write it out long hand, thinking about how I want my day to flow, what kind of atmosphere I want to cultivate. If I'm doing some goal work that day, I write why I'm working on that goal to remind myself. I love that I can think through and integrate all parts of my life--work, family time, personal time.
Hi Jennifer, beautiful work. I find myself needing you every once in a while when days are long and hard, and so I watch over and over some of my favorite videos of yours. It feels a little wicked every time the commercial, modern and bright, interrupts your calm voice and subtle music in the background, as I’m trying to stay in this peaceful and fairy light as in light-as-a-fairy state of mind that your narration brings me in. Thank you for sharing your world. - Angelina
I do that too. Last years england vlogs are comforting. I'm also planning to watch the if videos in succession again as I need motivation to get back into it
I love your time in the UK. It reminds me of my time spent with my son her lives in Hertfordshire. I live in New Zealand so it’s a long trip. I miss him so much but he’s been there for years and has made a life for himself.
Too many places in England are my favorites to mention; but I love visiting the really old churches and graveyards. Peaceful and so much history on the gravestones. Not a fan of grocery shopping at home; but enjoyed it in England; because there are so many different items. Last visit there was a Sainsbury close by.
Jennifer, I got my first issue of Victoria magazine after using your affiliate code and I am loving it! Full of art, design, and all fine things in life. I loved your writing in this issue as well as the recipes at the end. Your story about haphazardly arranging the strawberries in Madame Chic's tart never fails to make me laugh. I have learned so much from you. Thank you!
Where I live we have the cemetery where Uncle Sam is buried. We always enjoy visiting and find it peaceful rather than spooky. Walking in the cemetery is time spent in nature with a mini history lesson as a bonus!
This video is so lovely😍 I’m curious if your family is still homeschooling. I know this is not specifically a homeschool channel, but wondering if you might share a homeschool update in the future- curriculum, book recommendations, etc.
Hello Jennifer, I know what you mean about shopping with other people, I’m better off alone, mainly because I dither. (I hope that’s a word!). Waitrose is where I dither the most and I take in all the aisles, some more than once! Have you picked up the free recipe cards in there? You might like them, I found them very handy when I had a young family, they were such good recipes and easy to adapt if necessary.
Going to England is a dream of mine. I would love to see the English countryside and visit Beatrix Potter's home and Jane Austen's also. I would love to go for a proper tea party or even have a proper afternoon English tea. I enjoy your sharing of your time in England. Thank you Jennifer. Sending gratitude. 🤍✨📚☕🪻
Thanks for the video! So relaxing! But don’t miss out on time at the big house because of us. Make the most of time with family and friends you only get to be with a month of the year.
I am really enjoying the videos of your travels. Like you, reading is one of my favorite forms of relaxation. I especially wanted to thank you for the recommendations/suggestions for "Three Act Tragedy" which I am reading now and I love "The Daily Stoic"!
I visited England for the first time this past May. My sister in law has lived there for about 7 months, and is now married to my English brother in law. It was so wonderful! We were in Norwich most of the time, Sheringham, and Colchester. Didn’t go to London because the train tickets were too much when buying day-of.
Hi Jennifer. Enjoyed the video. You mentioned shopping in Sunningdale. Perhaps you already know this, but Agatha Christie lived in Sunningdale during her first (rather unhappy) marriage. I am also a fan of her writing.
Thanks for taking us to England with you. While I don’t like grocery shopping here, I think it would be very interesting to see what offerings they have in another country.
I have several journals. My everyday journal that i also use for gratitude and lessons I've learned from my Bible studies. One just for the new words and phrases I'm learning in Spanish and my commonplace book...i love my commonplace book❤❤ enjoy your time with your family abroad. Xoxo Stacie
Yay for the clips of grocery shopping and yay for your Taramasalata! ❤️ PS Love your girl lunch aka ladies that lunch and read frothy Agatha mysteries for leisure!
❤Thank you for sharing the beauty of England with all of us! I love the dairy aisle of England. They have so much more than we do in the US. Clotted Cream! Yummy on scones with jam. I miss it.
I doubt that I'll ever get to visit England, which is the country of my ancestors. I absolutely love your videos while you are there - thank you for filming and sharing. It seems so strange to see you in clothes for cool weather while we swelter here in the American southeast!
I have not been organized enough to create a common place book, but I do often create a morning page and brain dump with my planning thanks for sharing
Hi Jennifer nice to have you back in our country 🇬🇧 I wish I lived closer so I could meet you but I'm in Devon . I hope you enjoy your stay here I love your videos you've changed my life! I especially love to see the videos when your here it looks beautiful where you are 😍
I am thoroughly enjoying these vlogs while you are in England!!! I wish we could get watercress in the States more readily. It used to be common in grocery stores but I haven't seen it in years and I love it.
Fun fact, a lover of cemeteries is called a taphophile. :) You're not morbid at all, Jennifer. I love visiting old cemeteries as well. I find it peaceful and like you, I enjoy reading the tombstones. Perhaps it's a writer-thing (I write historical fiction, haha).
As soon as I saw you had popped to Waitrose, I wondered if you had bought some iced buns (Brit here 👋🏻 🇬🇧) because I remembered you enjoyed them from last time. M&S do an iced spiced fruit bun which is also equally delicious! 🥰
Good morning! I laugh every time you say "the big house"! haha!! You sound like a "gangsta"! haha!! Also, I cannot manage it when my kids go with me to the food store!! UGH! I gave that up a while ago! I, too, either order or go alone! Oh, and Target. I try to avoid anyone shopping with me there, too!! haha!! I'm so happy you are RESTING!!! You really need it!! Can't wait for Thursday's video! With love, Kellie
So beautiful and inspiring, as usual!! ❤Oh, your grocery shopping spoke to me, as I am one of those who likes to shop alone, too! I get very frazzled when my kids ask for things (ahem, beg). They’re great kids, but the begging is almost irresistible to them😂 and it drives me crazy. We are a large family and need to stay on budget when grocery shopping. I am able to stay on target much more easily when it’s just me. Additionally, time is of the essence when I’m shopping (insert Alice in Wonderland quote!). It’s harder to explain to kids how to choose produce when you don’t have a lot of time. But you are right, this is an area to work on. Since you’re working on it, Jennifer, so will I! Here’s to loosening the grip on the grocery cart handle.😂🥂
Dear Jenn, TY for taking us along on your English journey. ??Q??? - do you ever wear your stripped cardigan open and wear it with a cami etc. underneath it? That's also a great look for you. Cheers.
Jennifer I so enjoy your videos, what a lovely vacation for you and your family. I am curious, what do your children do while you are working or reading?
I would also love to know. All of your videos are so beautiful and I’ve been watching for years but I never understand how you are able to pull off 95% of the things shown with your children being home with you. Reading, cooking, cleaning, exercising.
My children are always around when we are resting. Either playing or reading or just hanging out. I consciously choose to not show them on UA-cam to protect their privacy. ♥
Do you find different using one notebook for scheduling and thoughts instead of using different notebook/agenda? I love your videos about journaling, scheduling and similar 😊
Hello Jennifer, This peak into your travels is fascinating. Are there any instacart options where you are staying? Your Taramasalata looks pink; what is giving it the pink color? Thank you, Julie 🌷
If i was there, instead leaving head stones with vines I would have gone back next day with gloves and a bag, and cleared vines and other growth off headstones. :)
While in Germany, staff wouldn't allow our travel group to photo anything in the grocery store. I wonder if any of that has changed or does one need special permission.
I like these but they are unrelatable to me. You're very fortunate to be able to go away for a month in England and stay in a cottage on someone's estate. I guess for me it's like seeing how the 1% live.
I hope you enjoyed our latest England vlog. 🇬🇧 Click my trainwell (formerly CoPilot) link go.trainwell.net/TheDailyConnoisseur to get 14 days FREE with your own expert personal trainer! Thank you for watching, as always. With love, Jennifer
I might not ever get to travel to England. Thanks so much for taking us along! 🇬🇧
I'm so happy you enjoy the videos. Thank you! ♥
One would half expect Mr. Darcy to come riding up!

Beautiful, Jennifer; thank you for all you share with us! ❤
I love when you vlog from England country side. Enjoy it is so beautiful!
I love these English UA-cam’s. So peaceful.

Yes! I love this, and I do something similar and it helps me so much 💖
That sounds like such a fulfilling way to plan and to live.
Thank you Jennifer! Loved every second of this. The grocery shopping was the best. Enjoy a little Chocolates. 😊you’re on holiday. ❤

Ah, thank you so much! I appreciate it! ♥
I agree that grocery shopping with others is stressful! And it takes longer because we tend to visit every single aisle.
Where I live we have the cemetery where Uncle Sam is buried. We always enjoy visiting and find it peaceful rather than spooky. Walking in the cemetery is time spent in nature with a mini history lesson as a bonus!
Love seeing international grocery stores and shops!!
Yes, please! I love your English summer videos.
I enjoyed seeing all you are doing in England. It is really like your family’s second home.
This video is so lovely😍 I’m curious if your family is still homeschooling. I know this is not specifically a homeschool channel, but wondering if you might share a homeschool update in the future- curriculum, book recommendations, etc.

Dreamy, Jennifer, just dreamy. Enjoy!
Love your videos from the English countryside, Jennifer! Enjoy your stay.

I live for these vlogs. I dream of England almost daily.
Thank you, Jennifer.
Keep it simple so you and your family can enjoy your time in England.
Have some fish and chips for me. 💐
This appartment looks just sooo deamy
Hi Jennifer nice to have you back in our country 🇬🇧 I wish I lived closer so I could meet you but I'm in Devon . I hope you enjoy your stay here I love your videos you've changed my life! I especially love to see the videos when your here it looks beautiful where you are 😍
Thank you so much, Patricia! I hear Devon is beautiful! ♥
This was so enjoyable to watch, thank you.
Love all your videos!💜
I am thoroughly enjoying these vlogs while you are in England!!! I wish we could get watercress in the States more readily. It used to be common in grocery stores but I haven't seen it in years and I love it.
I love watercress too. It is difficult to find in the States!
Same here.
I looove your England videos!! 😍😍😍😍
I’m enjoying the English vlog a lot 😍

Lovely ❤
As soon as I saw you had popped to Waitrose, I wondered if you had bought some iced buns (Brit here 👋🏻 🇬🇧) because I remembered you enjoyed them from last time. M&S do an iced spiced fruit bun which is also equally delicious! 🥰

Kellie, you always crack me up!
Lol too funny 😅😂
It's been a really weird summer so far! I've yet to put my winter coat away! 🙈
So beautiful and inspiring, as usual!! ❤Oh, your grocery shopping spoke to me, as I am one of those who likes to shop alone, too! I get very frazzled when my kids ask for things (ahem, beg). You are very close to where I live. I think you might love to visit some National Trust places (Polesden Lacey is a beautiful place).
Yes! We just went to Polesden Lacey. It was wonderful.
Waitrose - the best supermarket in UK. I love going there. Also Marks and Spencer is great.
If you can get north, Booths is the best. 😍 Loads of local produce!
What are your kids doing while you are working and resting?
Waitrose , best food shop in England .
Dear Jenn, TY for taking us along on your English journey. ??Q??? - do you ever wear your stripped cardigan open and wear it with a cami etc. underneath it? That's also a great look for you. Cheers.
I've never worn it open because I love the gold buttons, haha
You are so lucky!!!!!

Your Taramasalata looks pink; what is giving it the pink color? Thank you, Julie 🌷
❤
If i was there, instead leaving head stones with vines I would have gone back next day with gloves and a bag, and cleared vines and other growth off headstones. :)
Then you may just have gotten yourself in a bit of trouble as that would not be your place to do such a thing ❤
Too much work
WHAT is Taramasalata???
❤❤❤❤❤❤
While in Germany, staff wouldn't allow our travel group to photo anything in the grocery store. I wonder if any of that has changed or does one need special permission.
That is soooo German, lol! (I am part German, so can say that with no malice!).
Why??!?
I hope Americans realize that very few people in England actually live or have homes like this.
🥰
What is teramosalata?
It is a wonderful tasty Greek dip made of cod roe. Absolutely delicious
How do you manage this with four kids? Not realistic
I like these but they are unrelatable to me. You're very fortunate to be able to go away for a month in England and stay in a cottage on someone's estate. I guess for me it's like seeing how the 1% live.
It's her mil
I love your videos, but I do not understand why you schedule so much time away from your kids. They are only young once, enjoy them!
My children are always around and we hang out together. I choose to not put them on UA-cam to protect their privacy.
❤
