What I like about Melissa is that she will introduce all her 525,600 lemon lime marantas as individuals and give you all their back stories instead of just saying “oh here’s another maranta” 😂 loved your tour!
I'm so happy! I've been waiting for a plant tour. Thank you for sharing ❤ I'm disabled and your videos have helped me find my passion in life which is plants, your videos have given courage and hope that I can do anything even whilst dealing with health struggles. So thank you
Strong girl, ☺️of course you can achieve anything you set your mind to with hard work and perseverance. I hope you have a greenhouse full of plants one day.🍀🪴
Within minutes I was drooling with all the beauty. I love your vids, inspirational. I can only dream for my aroids to grow up my poles & push out larger leaves. Your plant stands are wonderful giving me some ideas as to how to use my space to it's best maximise vertical height. Your videos are never too long. Thank you.🎉
Just starting the video tour. I can't imagine the hours of care these plants represent. But their individual health reflects something special about you, Melissa ... the care (in every sense of that word) you provide is really unique. Don't want to get too schmaltzy but you really do have a gift. Thank you for all the work of filming this year's tour for us.
Thank you so much Kathleen 🥹 I love caring for them. I definitely get overwhelmed some weeks but they really do bring me so much joy. I'm so happy I found this hobby! 🥰
I'm commenting before I even start watching it. I've been so excited about this video, yet patiently waiting, lol. I gasped when I saw it was 3 hours long. Yes!!! Today is my day off, so I'm getting comfy, grabbing my coffee, and putting my phone on silent. I'm mentally preparing myself for the gorgeousness I'm about to see. You're honestly so awesome!! You've inspired me more than you know. Thanks so much!! ❤🪴
Hi Melissa , I m half way through your awesome video. Everything is beautiful! I have to watch the rest tomorrow but ThankYou for sharing these beauties with us.❤
Picture this. Just got into plants and formed and extra bond with my youngest daughter and old friend though them. We had a plant sale yesterday and it was beyond fun! I fell asleep to this fantastic gift of a video after a day of plants and loved ones and sweet strangers. Now I am sitting enjoying my coffee watching this tour on my TV while the rain peppers down outside.Plants are life giving and heart healing! Thank you God! And Melissa for all your hard work and sharing it with us!❤🪴
3:05:33 it just feels so much better to make the space feel so much better and not so cluttered. So I started a new job and didn’t water my dedicated space(s) where my more than 300 plants were for OVER 6 months!! 🥺.. when I went back.. and saw what lived!!!… I said!!! Lord ❤I thank you!!! 🙏 It was amazing!! Now my greenhouse heater had still been going or I guess everything would had gone.. but those that were there BLEW MY MIND!!! Yeah.. I couldn’t make the money 💰 I’d planned.. but I’d left all of them so .. all should’ve been dead!! And now I’m happy!! ❤ I have what God knew I could handle and go to work and handle my family. Girl.. listen to God!! 🥰
I have been watching your videos and must say that I enjoy each and every one on them. I am leaving this comment as this 3 hour video is getting started. I have my husband sitting next to me as he supports my passion for plants. Because of your videos, I started teaching my son, who is autistic about plants. He likes taking care of them and enjoys when his cactus rewards him with flowers. I wanted to leave him with something he can remember me by when I am gone and what better than to love plants and the joy they bring to your life. Thank you so much for all that you do. ❤
I have to tell you I’m loving this video. The pace is fantastic. You give us just enough information for us to understand. Keep it up. I’ve got it on my tv right now. I think that I’ll sit for the whole three hours. I didn’t think I would but the pace drew me in. I’m watching yo the end.
Yaaaaaaaas! Melissa, I just found you a couple weeks ago (Fern mentioned you on her video recently) and I am sad I didn’t know about you sooner! (Although I am happy to have a TON of videos to catch up on). I really love your calm energy, your long videos AND I love your sweet kitties! Just wanted you to know that 😌 I’m on my break at work so can’t watch it all but, I will be back to watch in a few hours! 🤓
Thank you so much! 🥹 That is so sweet to say and I love Fern's channel. I watched her videos a lot when I first got into plants. I appreciate you for being here and thank you so much for watching 🫶 I hope you have a good rest of your work day!
What an astonishing collection of plants. Your home would be beautiful even without plants but your collection elevates it to World Heritage Site status, at least in my humble opinion. Plantmore Estate truly is a national treasure. Thanks for the tour, I never tire of seeing your beautiful plants and I mean that seriously. It took me two batches of popcorn to get through this video but I enjoyed every minute. Thanks for all your hard work.
Melissa all your plants are just so well cared for and stunning!! My husband goes "man she knows what she is doing her plants all look really healthy!" So there you go you even wow'd my husband and I didn't even realize he was paying attention haha. 😆
1:06:30 I would def take out the euphorbia white ghost out of the cactus pot, but the lighting is probably perfect for it! If anything, they are a succulent and need watering like a succulent rather than a cactus! It’s such a beauty! ❤
Amazing collection!!!! It took me three days to watch this video Melissa lol I had to take some breaks in between but you did great. Love all your plants. 🪴 I always look forward to your videos and all your IG posts. Been a long time follower on there. Happy growing, can’t wait till the next rehab repotting. Those are my fave! Or actually any repotting lol
I appreciate you for watching and following along 🥹 I'm grateful to you and all the support 🙏 It was long I know haha. I wasn't planning on it being 3 hours 🫣 I plan on doing more repotting and chopping and just more plant care next month. I think the shop opening took away from that some. Now that the tour is done I'm excited to start some projects!
Amazing that you can have such a large collection and they are all so well tended and healthy looking! Aaaand you refer to them as little living creatures that all have their own story! I can relate!! I love your alocasias! Just wish I could buy some of your plant babies! There are ways and I’m looking into it lol!
I love your videos, you really take a lot of time and love in all of them. Your home is so beautiful and so clean. I don’t know how you manage it all. Thank you!!
It took me 8 hours to watch. (Stopping and playing since I was at work) but i LOVED every minute of it. You are so inspiring and you make me want to be a better plant parent. ❤❤😊😊
What an amazing collection! Thank you for showing us your plant babies and gorgeous home too, you've put a lot of care into your plants and it definitely shows 😊🪷💖
ooh okay thank you! I think I might have two burtoniae's then. The other one is more almond shaped leaves too. It was mislabeled at Lowe's which I know happens a lot 😂
Love the tour! Like you I am in love with the lemon lime maranta, Makoyenna Calathea and lemon lime philodendron. Nice to see people appreciate more common varieties. Love your alocasias too!
Thank you Melissa! I got up and went over to my “Molly B” polka dot maculata and said “That’s it you are going into water! Melissa says! Because I’m tired of waiting for you to shape up!” Loved your tour!
haha thank you so much! yeah I just took all the cuttings and they rooted pretty quickly and it's been growing ever since. I just make sure to add fertilizer though so it can still get those important nutrients :)
I just wanted to thank you for your dedication! Can’t believe you put so much effort into each plant and each planty video🌱I just bought moss and thiccly poles per your recommendation after doing a bit research as well. Super excited for my plants to grow big!!
Whoo hoo! Down to 20 minutes left of the video I did stop to watch 30 minutes of the news. So I’m back at it. I have thoroughly enjoyed this video. Love, love, love it. Yo got through everything in record time. You edited perfectly.
You are a great person to mirror and learn from your collection is close to perfection. I also just looked up your site instantly sold everything out. Makes me not want to go to work just so I can do what everyone else does and haunt your site to see things. I always want to buy not that I actually can but it would be something to have something from your stock they are beautiful.
Thank you so much 🥹 for right now I can only post plants in small batches so I can package and get them all out but I plan to post new batches up weekly 🫶
I absolutely love my rabbit tracks, she is just stunning. And your lemon lime in the master bath is amazing. I've seen her before, and still beautiful.
Woohoo full plant tour! Now you can finally rest from all those hours stuck editing haha. Your passion for plants is so contagious. I get so excited every time I see a new leaf popping up!
Thank you so much! No resting for me haha. The shop keeps me busy now 😁 but I love it! I definitely need to take a day though and just not work. I have been nonstop lately :) New leaves are so exciting!! 😍
Thank you so much! It's a substrate used mostly in aquariums. It's volcanic soil and you can find it at pet shops or on amazon is where I get mine: www.amazon.com/dp/B00JGQIY48?linkCode=ssc&tag=onamzmeli0992-20&creativeASIN=B00JGQIY48&asc_item-id=amzn1.ideas.1OODWALE01UEU&ref_=aip_sf_list_spv_ofs_mixed_d_asin
What a collection!! Your plants are beautiful and I love that you're honest about your struggles. Do you remember where you got the hanging planters your string of pearls are in? I'd love to find some. Thank you for this plant tour! I'm sure it was a lot of work. 😊
Thank you so much! Glad to finally have it done 🙏 Those planters were from Target in 2022 spring season. They were so popular! I know at home had a similar style I think this year. I don't have a link or anything but I remember someone telling me!
The venation in the clairenervian (sp) is absolutely beautiful. You know I’m not an anthurium girl but I can understand the love of them. They are so different in coloration. Love looking at them.
Love watching your videos! From watching your videos, I got back into keeping plants. I have been using products you use and doing tips you give an my plants have never looked so good! 🌱🌿
@@plantsbymelissa oh no I thought it died off :-) To the point where I even bought a new plant, but I have it in stratum and it’s come out with a dot of sport irrigation :-)
You will love your multiflora. It blooms all the time. Mine is currently in’s 6 inch pot that I just re posted it in. It gave me a second bloom higher up the plant then my first peduncle just fell off. My hew peduncle was just starting to bloom but I noticed mealies so I had to treat it. It’s not happy and I think that it will abort the bloom. My original peduncle bloomed 4 times in 14 months. The whole peduncle fell off. I know not to take them off as they rebloom but it hurt fell off. So I hope I get a third peduncle bringing it up to two peduncles on the plant.
I always wondered how you had such a perfect collection. It's nice to see that you also have struggle plants just like the rest of us. Such a beautiful collection! You are my planty idol, and I feel very lucky to have gotten one of your regal shields! 💚💚💚
That is one impressive collection!! Has anyone ever tried to buy the Adansonii? The Adansonii is insane, and the Marble Queen on the pole and your Lemon Lime Maranta are my favorites! So may beautiful plants, thank you for showing us!
Thank you so much! I have not gotten anyone that wanted to buy it haha. I probably wouldn't sell it though since it's been with me for so long. I definitely have an attachment to it 🥹 I appreciate you for watching!
Hey planty friend! Girl I’m late to the video but I just wanted to say about the variegated Micans Aurea…..one of my local plant friends purchased one that already had several leaves for future propagations! She purchased it around December for Christmas time! Needless to say you can watch as the leaves slowly revert up the stem! So she did what anyone would do to bring back the variegation and propagated it from cuttings! 🫣🤦🏻♀️ It’s reverting also and it SO slow growing! I feel like it’s going to be one of the inevitable ones that you just expect them to revert and be super surprised if you get one that never does! Like a diamond in the rough situation! But it’s totally tempting because they are stunning! Also loved the video girl! You always influence my next plant purchases lol! 😂
haha I actually just purchased a new one 🤭 I filmed an unboxing that will go up later this week once I edit it. My import one is just not happy. I just chopped it again to try and save it but I don't have high hopes for it. I really hope it doesn't revert on me. They're so pretty!! Sorry about your friend's plant. It really stinks to see a plant revert after you try and get variegation to grow back in.
Hi Melissa, I have noticed these very flexible cups that you use - maybe 6 ounces or so? They seem to fit perfectly into regular clear cups. Have you shared that information in a video and would you kindly link it or tell me what they are? It almost looks like the bottom of a water bottle but they have a wavy look to them. I would love to know where you get them and what brand/size of the large clear cups you use too please? I looked on your Amazon but wasn't able to locate them? THANK you so much!!
Your stromanthe trio star is really beautiful. Half of mine died off. I think it had grown too big for the pot. Now I need to size down and cut off the dead parts. Then repot it. But what’s left is beautiful.
Love your collection! You're doing an impressive job. Did you ever consider starting to also do some plantprojekts in your garden. There is so much potential to create lovely habitats for all kind of insects and other animals like for example a flower meadow or some trees :)
Magnificent Adasonii Melissa!!! WOW!!!!! I will try starting one up on a moss pole to see if in a couple of years I can get it to grow like yours 😆 Thanks for this extra long video...thoroughly enjoyed it 🤩👏🏼🫶
Something else I’m noticing from watching this-and maybe I’m just OCD (lol), but do you have photography or art experience? Because I swear-every shot you capture is so cohesively arranged in the frame! Once I noticed that, I began seeing it in every moment of your videos! Those little details matter in the making of a quality video or taking a good photo. Maybe it’s just me, but when you were filming your front entryway from the inside, with the money tree to the left, and above it is your sign/poster that says "This is us…our home, our story…" Each item was perfectly filmed! The words were completely visible, and the sign was a part of the whole frame. I think it just comes from gardening and appreciating the flow of things…
You have an amazing collection! I love Marantas bc they photo so well. I just got a baby Maranta Fantasy Light veins for green escape. It’s looks amazing, looks like a lime rabbit tracks.
I NEED your secret on the Silver Dragon!! Mine was battling spider mites, and with OCD like treatment, I’ve got them all. I absolutely love him, but he doesn’t look like yours! I’m new to your channel, so I don’t know if you have a video on these, but I’d love to know!
THREE Hours!! I am so excited!! Where did you live in NC? I am in Greensboro. I wish you were closer, I would love to take those Syngonium Batiks off your hands!! Syngoniums are one of my favorite genus, and Batik is one I don't have yet. I absolutely love how you love a lot of common plants as well. I LOVE the calatheas and marantas, and pothos and Peace Lilies. Have you ever tried Bonide's Systemic on your plants? I have used it for going on my 3rd years now and I have NEVER (knock on wood) seen a thrip or mealy bug on any of my plants. I am just now going around to all my plants for their spring dose and hope I don't get anything again this year. Well I made it through this whole video in one day! LOL You have an amazing collection of plants! They are second to none! Just gorgeous!! And I now have a new list of must have plants! LOL
We lived in a few places around the Raleigh area. My husband is from NC :) I used to use bonide but moved away from systemics. I could never keep up with application. I appreciate you for taking the time to watch! 🫶
I'm new to your channel and I'm in ❤ with your plants. I noticed you have a lot of plants with huge leaves in small cups? Aren't you afraid of the plants roots getting too big? Will you eventually transfer to bigger pots? You mention Pons and stratum, what are these and when/why do you use them? Thanks to anyone for replying.
What I like about Melissa is that she will introduce all her 525,600 lemon lime marantas as individuals and give you all their back stories instead of just saying “oh here’s another maranta” 😂 loved your tour!
haha thank you!! They all have their own stories 😂🫶
I'm so happy! I've been waiting for a plant tour. Thank you for sharing ❤ I'm disabled and your videos have helped me find my passion in life which is plants, your videos have given courage and hope that I can do anything even whilst dealing with health struggles. So thank you
of course! plants are so amazing and I'm so happy they bring you joy in life. I appreciate you for being here and for saying that 🥹💖

It’s long, but literally no one is mad about it. Thank you for all your hard work. Your collection is insane. Seriously, well done. 👏
Amazing collections....great...❤

Thank you for the longer video. I've gotten to the point where I've wanted more videos so I've gone back and watched all your videos twice.

There's some really beautiful ones out there 😍 I love the veining too!
I love this video. I love watching your videos. Your so amazing. You inspire me to be a better plant mom.. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you amber 🥹
They are all healthy and beautiful
Amazing!!!! Everything is just stunning!! Wow!!! This is truly art! Thank you for sharing with us 😀❤️.
Thank you so much! I appreciate you for watching 💖
Love watching your videos! From watching your videos, I got back into keeping plants. I have been using products you use and doing tips you give an my plants have never looked so good! 🌱🌿
Amazing Melissa and thank you so much for sharing all your beautiful plants and home with us!!! ❤
1:02:18 gorgeous!! My melo (I thought it died shortly after buying it) has a tiny bit of sport variation on the leaf ❤❤
So sorry 😢
@@plantsbymelissa oh no I thought it died off :-)
To the point where I even bought a new plant, but I have it in stratum and it’s come out with a dot of sport irrigation :-)
It was great to watch. Thanks for the great video!
Such a great video, Melissa - you have a stunning home!
Thank you so much! 💖
Are you sure it is a multiflora. In the video it looked like a vining plant, but the multiflora does not send out vines, it’s more of a bushy plant.
I always wondered how you had such a perfect collection. It's nice to see that you also have struggle plants just like the rest of us. Such a beautiful collection! You are my planty idol, and I feel very lucky to have gotten one of your regal shields! 💚💚💚
oh I definitely struggle too :) Thank you again for your support 🥹💖
Melissa I'm so excited! I've been dying for a new tour from you
Thank you Lisa!! I'm so happy to have a new plant tour video 🥰
I’m totally obsessed 🪴💚💚💚💚💚🪴🪴🪴🪴 this is my goal! I love this video
Thank you!!
Absolutely loved this tour. Maybe one day you can show us how you cross breed some of your plants if that’s okay.
THANK you so much!!
awww I'm so excited to see this new video. I've been waiting for this. You make my day.🥰💚
yay! Thank you so much for watching 💖
Beautiful scindapsus green satin. I’m also jealous of your linearis and string of turtles. Hello to your furry babies. 😸😸😸😸😸
Your stromanthe trio star is really beautiful. Half of mine died off. I think it had grown too big for the pot. Now I need to size down and cut off the dead parts. Then repot it. But what’s left is beautiful.
What an amazing collection 😍 ❤️ ♥️ 💖 You did an awesome job on this video!!! Thank for sharing!❤
Thank you so much!!
Love your collection! You're doing an impressive job. Did you ever consider starting to also do some plantprojekts in your garden. There is so much potential to create lovely habitats for all kind of insects and other animals like for example a flower meadow or some trees :)
oh my goodness 3hrs !!! I need to put this on the tv 😂😂😂 yay 💚
haha it's a long one! 🥳🫶
I’ve been waiting for this!
[makes coffee and rolls doobie 🇨🇦]
I hope you enjoy! Thanks for watching!! 💖
Amazing job! You inspired me to get my sodiroi and esqueleto and they're great!
I hope that my obavata blooms this year. It’s really been growing.
I’ve never seen a exotica with leaves that big especially as it’s trailing. Its beautiful.
Thank you!!
Magnificent Adasonii Melissa!!! WOW!!!!! I will try starting one up on a moss pole to see if in a couple of years I can get it to grow like yours 😆 Thanks for this extra long video...thoroughly enjoyed it 🤩👏🏼🫶
Thanks for sharing. What a collection, well done 🎉❤
Thank you so much! ❤️🌱
The Schlumbergera or Christmas Cactus blooms mostly if the temprature is under 23 Celsius (from November to January).
You have an amazing collection! I love Marantas bc they photo so well. I just got a baby Maranta Fantasy Light veins for green escape. It’s looks amazing, looks like a lime rabbit tracks.
Thank you so much! Congrats on your new baby maranta! The light veins is so so pretty! 🤩
Wonderful.... really wonderful ❤❤❤
Amazing collection! 🪴
I started following you when you posted your very first video ❤
I NEED your secret on the Silver Dragon!! Mine was battling spider mites, and with OCD like treatment, I’ve got them all. I absolutely love him, but he doesn’t look like yours! I’m new to your channel, so I don’t know if you have a video on these, but I’d love to know!
I needed this todaaaay, absolutely love! 💕
Thank you Sherry!! 🥰
@@plantsbymelissa thanks for hanging out with me on my down days! I hope you’re able to rest after editing this! 💕 Just wow!
The video that made you edit for days and days on end! Lol! I will definitely be watching the whole thing tonight!
lol it was a lot of editing 🫣 I'm glad to have it finished though. Thank you for taking the time to watch! 💖
I never thought I would be a maranta person but you may have convinced me 🤣😍
Do you like the wire or the acrylic shelves for the cabinets better?
Wow your house is beautiful I love all your plants love watching all your videos #lifegoals x
Thank you so much! 💖
