    I tried this recipe yesterday and it was a fun dish. I would prefer putting one kind fish in each cone instead of combining them. But without a doubt, it was a great center piece for a family dinner. thx Chef!

    If Rôle Gourmet did another collaboration with you guys, you should do a remastered Temaki video. Brazilians apparently love temaki so much, they have their own native version of it!

    I had always eaten sushi in restaurants, but then I decided to make some myself after a camping trip (I was starving) and enjoyed it in my backyard which is very dense wilderness in spring. There is nothing better than enjoying sushi at home in the warm spring breeze while flowers are blooming and birds chirping. Very zen. Very relaxing. Do it if you haven't.

      I bet you could do a western version using things like roast beef slices, grilled chicken, slices of sausage, ect. You could probably even make a vegitarian version using just a variety of veggies. Wrap in lettuce instead of nori, and use herbs like basil. For sauces, you could use BBQ sauce, ketchup, whatever. The slightly sour vinegar rice could go with a lot of things. If you don't like something, just modify it :)

      I know, right? That's what I was thinking too. It really has nothing to do with immaturity. It's more like personal preference with what someone likes to eat. Maybe some people are more "adventurous" that others, but it doesn't make someone boring either. It was a very condescending thing to say.

    • @Kehy_ThisNameWasAlreadyTaken
      @Kehy_ThisNameWasAlreadyTaken 10 років тому +1

      I can't eat fish or shellfish, so really, I can't eat it because I enjoy breathing. I still think that this would make a really fun picnic idea, western or not (although probably not safe with raw fish)

    How much dog hair is acceptable in Temakizushi?

    • @lamipurpure7992
      @lamipurpure7992 9 років тому +8

      I think it's a poodle. Poodles don't shed much if at all, so none, I suppose.

    • @drk321
      @drk321 9 років тому +1

      Of course they shed, just not as much. The thing about poodles is that their fur is hypoallergenic so it does not bother those that are allergic to animal fur or dander. Whatever the case, I can't take a food channel seriously if they cook right next to a dog.

    • @kasqat
      @kasqat 9 років тому +8

      drk321 Like no one on earth has ever cooked with a pet in their kitchen. The dog is confined to his perch behind her.

    • @drk321
      @drk321 9 років тому

      Kas Qat
      "Like no one on earth has ever cooked with a pet in their kitchen"
      I never said that. But no matter how many people have ever done that does not remove the fact that it is unsanitary. Professionals would never allow an animal in that close proximity to food. Period. If you choose you can have dog hair in your dinner, but not me. These people are unsanitary.

    it is a paper towel dipped in vegetable oil, mostly used on large griddle areas at diners and stuff because it keeps the pan slick but keeps unneeded oil out of the pan.

    Wow she makes things look easy,but some of it is actually quite hard&requires skills/experience. She's a pro!
    I got to the egg rolling stage&it was quite hard to roll at the perfect time without ripping it/or/making it all go separate.
    Thanks for the video!
    Will be looking forward to more*:)

    This recipe is all prep work and very little cooking, I like it!! It seems like a lot of work, but I gather if you slice/chop everything while the rice is cooking and the shrimp is boiling, this meal could be assembled in 20-30 minutes by one person!

    Thank you for the lovely message from Guatemala. I used to wandering around the area where many Hispanic people reside. Every Saturday and Sunday at night, one family opens their street vender and they sell their hand made pancakes. Its inside is meat or cheese and it comes with pickled fine cabbage leaf and hot salsa. It was so delicious and if my memory is correct the family was from Guatemala. Do you know the name of the pancake by any chance? Anyway, thank you for the message.

      Cooking with Dog could this be a pastelillo or empanadilla? The difference between the two is the dough. I'm Hispanic, and during large family gatherings we make them. Also, pastelles. Made with masa from green bananas or yucca. It's a treat because the recipes are handed down through generations. :3
