I have a 2012 extended cab I got a good deal on a chevy 12 bolt rear end super happy with it cam with disc brakes and bolted right in place. I regeared it to 4.56 with 35s if your going 37s I would go 4.88 or 5.13 it'll save some stress on your transmission. Love the way the trucks coming out!!

Your lucky you can buy an expensive battery, here in Las Vegas batteries only last two years no matter what because of the extreme heat. I have always wanted a yellow top battery but here that would be pointless. I have the suburban equivalent of your truck. I've been watching you for years since Hawaii. I'm so happy that you are not giving up on the '07. I have an LTZ and have done a lot to it. They say because of the Magneride suspension, I cant install the 7.5 inch lift but I will find a way to make that happen (any hints would be cool). Because of this video you have motivated me to try my own video, but right now I don't know where to start. My first video on here will have a "Thank you" in it for you. Really hope you get deep into some engine/exhaust/AFM delete/bigger throttle body/cam mods. I'd love to suggest looking into a Trailblazer intake because it seems to be a budget friendly and easily accessible route to take for added horsepower thats not significantly harder to install than a factory setup if the required adapters are prepared ahead of time. hope you look in to it and blaze the way for mine and many other 5.3 owners' way towards mods that have great bang for the buck, but able to be done in our driveways. Thank you to anyone that took the time to read all of this this. KOA !
I’ve had a yellow top for 8yrs and killed it dry like 4 times and was told it needed to be replaced. Only reason I don’t have it anymore is because I sold the truck it was in.

Cam-bolts shouldn’t be an issue for a mechanic to adjust the alignment, maybe a little aggravation but do-able.
Is the caster different from one side to the other side?

Hey what’s up dude! I didn’t see if you re-installed the battery looking tray that was near the washer fluid reservoir area. But definitely do! I didn’t on my truck till about 7 times out and my whole fuse box and everything mounted on that inner fender was sagging down. I re installed and it held everything back up.
This was I guess more important to me after I took the entire outer fender off to mount the fiberglass.
So stoked for you on this awesome project though! You gonna do the dirt king inner fenders?
I have alignment cams and you have to put the stock ones on. align it and switch to the cams yourself but mark where the shop aligned it. It’s a hassle but only way.
Gear it for the 37's before you add any more power. Save yourself from buying a transmission.

Get a sanding flap disk and give it a pass on the bumper and it will leave the edge extra fine.

Adding a bypass to the front will make it feel like it’s riding on clouds.
Optima’s aren’t actually all that great anymore.
Get a battery charger and run it over the roof on a retractable cord.
I went the same route with the windshield wiper fluid tank, the pumps go out after 4-6 months of use. I’m on my second pump and it’s already stopped working, I just haven’t reached to company to send another pump

Great instal video, but one lesson I learned early on is never run the pump without fluid. I ended up burning out a pump within the first 30 seconds of install. None the less, great video and thank you for being open and honest with us all. Have a great holiday

lmao bro, Optima blows! I haven't had good luck with them since Johnson Controls moved manufacturing to Mexico. Can't justify the price when other batteries perform just as good, if not better. Also, if you want proof, check out Todd over at Project Farm here on UA-cam. He did a really good test.
Btr truck Norris cam is worth every penny, then eventually some boost would be awesome. Probably going to need a stronger trans with more power

I forgot to ask how much space you got in the garage now with both trucks and the Camaro, saw the boxes so not sure how tight it will be now.
It’s a bit tighter now, but still do-able.
Coming from someone that has those alignment cams…you are absolutely correct about shops not liking to align them. It takes them way longer to align and now it runs me about $200-$250 every time compared to roughly $100 before. If you can figure out how to do it yourself (especially if it’s not a DD like mine) I would definitely recommend it
I paid close to 300 my first alignment lol and had to help the guys😂 I second this 100%

@@44-Offroad no they haven’t. Only issue I had is I had to cut the droop stops to run my new upper control arms and I hit a bump hard enough to bend the cam bolt and completely screwed the alignment. I about had to walk the mechanic through fixing it too😂

Honestly work on the motor and trans first. Do cylinder heads with valves matched to the cam. With a tune long tube headers. I promise it's better then going super charger or turbo first. Save you money. You can't build a house on bad foundation 💯🤟

Looks like you might have alternator issues it didn't look like it went up in voltage but you didn't stay there long
It was at 14v when I went for the drive. Battery was 5 years old so pretty positive that was it 👍🏽

Dash wasn’t hard, just took a good amount of time
Sinple upgrade to the interior is switching that middle bench console out for the LT full console. (Don't get the LTZ cause the front under the radio is different)

Should grab yourself some tmr alignment plates to set your alignment if you’re doing it all without a shop they’re cheap. Dig the channel excited to see the truck with glass on it. Are you gonna put a wider rear axle in the truck to match the front track width or close to it .

@Slap Doctor who are tou talking to and what about I mean ya stock transmissions will not hold up long but really if you are not real hard on it then it could last a while with a supercharger but ya thats just something you deal with you can get that one upgraded or go with like a 4l80e with an hd2 kit installed and be good you'd probably have to do something with controlling that but the 5.3l will be fine unless you are trying to make over like 700ish then you want to check and open up the ring gap but motor will be fine

They make plug in play harness and oem style foglights switch for you make and model on Amazon and diode dynamics makes wonder foglights led pod kit that greatly increases light over normal led bulbs
