- Next, on #TheDayTripShow, we took a day trip from to Giethoorn from Amsterdam. We were pretty excited to know that Giethoorn, Netherlands - the village without roads.
After we Giethoorn village, we rented a private boat and started boating around the canals. Giethoorn, also known as the Venice of the North is the water village of Holland and has more canals than roads.
The best part of our trip was that to explore Giethoorn in winters was not very usual, as a result, we were the only tourists there and had all the space to enjoy without the crowds.
After boating, we walked around Giethoorn, Netherlands. After some delicious pizza, it was time to return from Giethoorn to Amsterdam. But what a fun, serene and memorable day it had been! Had to share it with all of you in this episode of the show.
#TuneInToWCN to watch The Day Trip Show, a show in which we take day trips from popular cities to smaller towns, cities, and countries and explore them within the day!

I love this place. I was there in 2019 and had a hard time leaving...
Is March a good time to visit this beautiful place?
March will be a bit cold but since it is not a tourist season, you’ll find it secluded! 😄
Good presentation
Thank you! 😊
That was very informative!
Blessed
Never heard of this place before looks like a good day trip!
It was quite new to us as well! But it's so worth taking a day off from Amsterdam.
Is fratelli in giethorn where you ate pizza or outside? Once I get down from bus is there any sign to go to the area to take boat rent?
My grandmother was born there.
Such a nice town.
That's lovely! This is indeed an amazing town! :)
I live 5 km from Giethoorn, it is indeed beautiful there.
I lived there at a farm opersit the river because I was working around the area live the Netherlands and the people
Hei. Great info, especially since you are telling us the transports and everything.
I went to Geithoorn from Bant with a bus, but I was part of a project.
I am blind this is why it was harder for me, but I made a video from the project and what I did as a blind person in Geithoorn. But dancng in the middle of the street and riding boats was amazing!
I was there a few weeks ago!!
Isn't it gorgeous! We were extremely lucky to be the only tourists in town on that day.
Do we need to book boating ticket if opted Saturday as tour day ??
Janet Newenham waooooo🤩🤩

The boat ride is super cool..
Thank you so much! It was an amazing place for sure. ☺
Indeed! We loved it & it was one of our first experiences of driving a boat.
Beautiful Netherlands
That was a great amount of practical information. I really am impressed in that I have seen TV companies do a worse job with all their professional equipment. I found out everything I was wanting to know about getting to Giethoorn.
Thank you so much for dropping this comment! We're still a small community and the slow growth can be demotivating sometimes. But this truly means so much to know that our efforts are making a difference and reaching those who appreciate them! :)

I’ll be heading there in a few weeks time and I would like to know which bus stop did u guys stop at from bus 70 from Steenwjk? And what was the boat renting company/ shop did you guys rented from?
That’s awesome. We got down at the Giethoorn village’s bus stop. You can tell the driver that you want to visit Giethoorn & he/she will let you know once the stop comes. We hired a boat from ‘t Zwaantje. There’s one more that we can recommend, it is called Iamgiethoorn. :)
how much time you'd travel the village? We will be in amsterdam this summer, and Giethoorn is one of our must visit place :)
You need a day to see all of Giethoorn. A day trip can be enough but it is too pretty & you might want to stay over for a night there. :)
Indians exploring Holland
what's your point this earth belong to god and every human on it should enjoy the beauty there of .
@@carolynrog3rogers339 why take everything as negative... Get a life

Hi. Can someone answer my question please. I really want to know if there is anybody living in those beautiful houses along the cannal or is it just for attraction only. Those house is so amazingly beautiful ❤️❤️
You can live in one of those beautiful houses. Check Airbnb or Booking (dot) com to find deals! :)
It is not an atraction. It is a Village where People are living .
So behaeve when you visit.
In which month did you guys go
Hi Sameeksha! We were here in the second week of January 2018 :)
In which season should one pay a visit???
If you want good weather, then Summer is good. If you want less crowd, then Winter is pretty amazing!
hi I would like to know is it necessary to book train ticket in advance from Amsterdam to giethoorn
It is advisable to book it in advance. However, you can buy it on the same day from Amsterdam Train Station as well! :)
@@WorldCultureNetwork how much is the round trip train tickets per person from Amsterdam south to Geithoorn.?
Hi, can we use OV chip cart for traveling to the location?
Hello Rosita, unfortunately, we are not clear about that. You can check OV Chip's website to see if you can get to Steenwijk from Amsterdam using the card. If yes, then you can definitely do the trip with the card.
Yes you can
Thank u
Next
you need a Driving License or something to rent a boat?
No, you can rent a boat without a license! 😄
😂🙂 Good question tough .. foreign land anything can be ruled . Fined 55 for looking at mobile sitting on cycle
Which is the best time to visit this place like all over greeneries and flowers.pls guide
Thank you for watching! You must visit in Spring/Summer (mid April-September) to watch the flowers in full bloom, especially Tulips. You can also visit the tulip Fields for the tulip Festival from mid April to end of May.
How did the locals managed to build their houses
thats easy by boat of course
2 hours is enough without eating anything there?
We could explore it without eating anything for 2 hours! Haha!
@@WorldCultureNetwork no not possible. It took 3.5 hours there. If we don't have that much time better not to go
What if a giant croc or snake stays underneath the water.then whole village will be ghost town in max 7 days.
That’s a pretty scary thought! 😂
You're funny as fuck!! hahaha Greetings from Brazil :)
Haha! Thank you so much. We’re glad you enjoyed our episode! Greetings from India 🤗
