Enjoyable video as always Senan 👍🏻 Heavy nights rain here in Wexford last night so I'm hoping get out on the river later this evening after work for a couple of hours for some brownies 👌
Hope it’s enough rain 😀👍 I tried on Friday, the river was 6 inches deep with weed up to the surface 😂 I think we will need 2-3 days of heavy rain around me unfortunately
Love the videos mate. My own boats are up in drumsna. Don't seem to be getting as much success up there however I'm following your tips and using the recommended lures. Back out Thursday so hopefully be better day after the rain today.
Hey Senan I’m watching your videos for a while and I’m just wondering how do you find these spots for fishing as I fish in the river suir and there’s not much and it’s deep enough so if there’s any advice on finding a spot it would be very helpful thanks
Senan question for you quickly. When your fishing for trout and parch what line you have on and would you have a leader to And a swivel to to stop it from tangling. Thank you another great video keep it up
I use 0.10mm braid for my trout and perch fishing, no need for a swivel at all when fishing for these. 👍 you can use an Albright knot between your leader and mainline braid, tie a small snap to your lure. Swivel is unnecessary for these species really.
You just need to check with the local club that might be in charge of whatever stretch you intend on fishing. A lot of the Nore is “fly only” , so just check with the nearest tackle shop, and they will tell you what’s allowed on that particular stretch.
@@senanstanleyfishing No tackle shop locally, there's no local club and hasn't been for some time. Last time I asked someone who used to be in it they told me to go ahead and do whatever I liked. Ever have issue with landowners when you need to cross land to get to the river?
Some days fishing Senan and Paul...fair play to ye both👍

I'm only hoping aswell tbh 😂 Go down now this evening and it probably won't be after affecting the river at all 😂
@germurphy3561 you might get lucky 👏 I will check the rivers after work, if it’s up by even a foot I will go also

Thanks for watching pal, oh it’s never easy out there that’s for sure, but it’s always fun trying 👏☺️

Great to see trout hitting back on lures. June was a rough month for lure fishing. Some beautiful catches fair play👍🎣
Ya it’s brilliant, still early it’s going to get a lot better coming into August/September but they are definitely more active on the lures now ☺️👍
great bit of fishing, you should try fishing for salmon on the river there great craic to catch!
How do you you target trout when spinning senan how do you know where to fish for them.

@@senanstanleyfishing would that be about 10lb line then. Thank you for your reply
@mralanwatson1 yes roughly 10-12lb braid is plenty strong for trout and perch
@@senanstanleyfishing do you put a leader on to or just leave it.
Nice video Senan.
Grand launching spot too.
Not much chatting to the camera in this video it was more so fishing for fun, all I wanted to do here was fish for the trout 😂👌
@@senanstanleyfishing you got em bud.
I launch out of there a fair bit as it's the closest slip to home.
I was fishing there yesterday i caught 2 pike on the kayak what lures were u using for the trout thank you!!!
Well done lads! Getting ready…❤
Thank you 👍
Was it lough ree senan?
For spin fishing trout on a river, what are the laws to be aware of? I'm talking just casual trout fishing, catch and release along the Nore.
