As well as being a supreme fisherman ..his filming skills editing ability and narration ect are second to none.. as good, if not better than any of the high budget TV angling programmes that I've seen. 🙏
Chris, that was really enjoyable. I used to do that kind of fishing when I was a lad. Always exciting catching Chub. Thanks chap, your best video yet imo.
nice to see you use Barbless.... i love these wild lil side streams most people dont touch them but you can have a good day ..i bet most of these never been caught before.. superb filming very crisp and clear..nice one
Quality video mate! Being from yorkshire (barnsley), theres some great rivers and canals to fish. Im living in lichfield now and the water quality isnt the best on places around here, although the river tame is pretty decent and has good barbel
I've watched this upload and feel like I've had a day out myself. Brilliant stuff mate and always a huge pleasure to watch. Well done with the chub, beautiful fish.
What a cracking little session you had there and what a nice piece of paradise you get to fish and light tackle for barbel again where you can see them under the tree's
What an absolutely brilliant video Chris. Fishing for Chub that way in the summer is one of the most exciting ways to catch fish. And some of those hits from those Chub were savage. The whole vid was a celebration of the beginning of the new season too. Reminded me a bit of the late, great John Wilson's programmes. Absolutely great mate. More like this please.🙂👍🎣
This looks like great fun. I think im going to have to give this a go. Being on the Derby/Notts border it would certainly be more convenient than sea fishing 😅
Too many comments on hooks here, missing out on the beautiful filmography, drone shots, wildlife etc. Great video Chris. Fish care is always a priority in Ginger Fishermans videos.
I been watching your videos for awhile and like your content. Especially the underwater camera scene.. That is something special to see.. I have decided to subscribe to your channel.
Hi Chris, that was a nice Pike You caught on the first fish. Then It changed Into a Chub. Maybe next time. I know were there Is a River like this. Off the beaten track, Not Fished, and has Huge Pike, Chub, Perch and I even had a Huge Eel on a Dead Minnow while fishing for Pike. As there are Millions of them In this water plus very big Gugeion, too. Keep 'Em Coming.
Those ABU dropping spinners are an absolute classic and it caught many fish for sixty years. In Scandinavia they even catch huge greylings with it. A friend caught a greyling with it as well. We used them mainly for brown trout and they were a secret weapon for huge perch in dark pools. We used mainly the silver ones with blue or sometimes red dots.
Chris - Great stuff! I’d like to see you fishing for Tiger Fish in Africa! Cheap flights to Gambia from UK in the winter months. Alhajie Saho Sarr is the guy who could set it up on the ground 😅 fishing the River Gambia upcountry.
I wish the videos did end so quickly 😂 i need more all ready I would also like to see you fishing for pike in the afternoon with big trout swim baits its works like charm for mw ❤
Great video...I always watch your videos with a smile on my face 🙂...very enjoyable content....would love to see some perch fishing with livebait tactics 👍
I live on the Herts/Essex border very close to the river Stort, there's a fair few off-shoots we call the backwaters that have flowing water like in the video. They're great for Chub and Dace but also great for Pike.
Droppens are my go to, only actually, spinners, tried others always came back to them. The 2gms were fantastic for wild Brownies and Chub, don't know they stopped making them, have to settle for the 4gms now. And 3cm floating Rappalars.
Request to do the Isaac Walton stretch of the river Lea, w.abbey onwards, Essex! I fish this and it feels decimated for a lot of reasons, but if there’s one person to prove me wrong! It’s the Ginger!
Brilliant...just ordered a couple cicada, will definitely give this a go on the rivers and canal. Can you go into more detail on how you jig a spinner...maybe show us on your next outing.
How do you get premission to fish off the bank like in this episode in the UK? Or do you need to ask? In Kentucky on private land you must ask however once in the river stream or creek you are free to fish. Just curious. Nice fishing!
multiples species challenge could be nice.. In denmark there is a competion - catch the most different species in 1 year. Number one is on 60 ish and im on 22 this year.
You are really turning into the modern day John Wilson. (Huge compliment) TV should be grabbing you for a show. 5 ep's per week. 5 UA-cam anglers who have good standards and a good human being. Yourself, Carl, George and co. Each one has 1 ep each per week. Done.
I remember what my Dad (RIP told) me: When they were boys, they used do wait wet in the river waiting for giant horseflies to land on them: They caught them and hooked them without weight using only a floating line and a hook, probably those bugs still alive. They said it was the absolutely best way to catch careful, huge chub. I should mention that as the farmers still owned many working horses those terrible giant horseflies were still plentiful.
To do a catch n cook for bass or trout in season ... Little grill or bbq invite a guess to give it marks out of 10 😀👌 Love your work, passion and enthusiasm mate
Would this method work for Chub in my local reservoir? Obviously deeper and the water isn’t as clear as the river you’re fishing. Wondered if I should try this method there. Thank you.
As well as being a supreme fisherman ..his filming skills editing ability and narration ect are second to none.. as good, if not better than any of the high budget TV angling programmes that I've seen. 🙏
Good to know small clear streams like this still exist in our over-populated and polluted country.
What a beautiful venue to do a spot of fishing on a sunny warm day, and great fishing by the way. Love it.
Chris, that was really enjoyable. I used to do that kind of fishing when I was a lad. Always exciting catching Chub. Thanks chap, your best video yet imo.
What a hidden gem! Well done mate😍
nice to see you use Barbless.... i love these wild lil side streams most people dont touch them but you can have a good day ..i bet most of these never been caught before.. superb filming very crisp and clear..nice one
beutiful scenery, amazing catching number of big chubs, well done!
6:29 wow , see what a mean bud 😅😅😅. Wicked cast 🎉
Quality video mate! Being from yorkshire (barnsley), theres some great rivers and canals to fish. Im living in lichfield now and the water quality isnt the best on places around here, although the river tame is pretty decent and has good barbel

Beautiful fish, awesome tiny river, skilled fisherman and amazing footage. Love from italy❤
Absolutely class Chris! Great watch that, some cracking Chub there 🎣 ….Smithy
No doubt you'll be keeping quite about that river? What a little gem, and beautifully wild looking too.
What a cracking little session you had there and what a nice piece of paradise you get to fish and light tackle for barbel again where you can see them under the tree's

Great video Ginger! What a session! Very frustrating to watch though when I may get 1 fish a session if I'm lucky 🙃
Absolutely stunning session, such beautiful fish and what an awesome river
I love your videos Chris, they are so well crafted and it's like we are fishing with you. They get better and better. Thanks.
I found a "thrupennny" bit down the back of an old sofa. The chub didn't like it much (they're all about metric) but it made my day. Tight lines.
This looks like great fun. I think im going to have to give this a go. Being on the Derby/Notts border it would certainly be more convenient than sea fishing 😅
I love a good chub bash. Some nice fish in that river.
Too many comments on hooks here, missing out on the beautiful filmography, drone shots, wildlife etc. Great video Chris.
Fish care is always a priority in Ginger Fishermans videos.
This is great fishing! Best youtube fishing channel by a mile.
Looks like the water companies haven't got to this stretch yet!
I been watching your videos for awhile and like your content. Especially the underwater camera scene.. That is something special to see.. I have decided to subscribe to your channel.
It’s always exciting fishing rivers !, such a variety of fish and not knowing what lurks beneath, moving up and down trying to bag a monster 🎣

Another stunning video Chris, more out of the ordinary methods to catch your targeted fish, good on ya. Karl NZ 😀👍

Chub fishing is so much fun! 🎣👌 Awesome fishing Chris!
What an amazing session you had Chris and a brilliant edited video , well done lad .👊
Matching the hatch.
You nailed it.
I fished with spinners years ago and couldn't get a bite because the fish were feeding on flies.
Brilliant session that was! Thanks for sharing that with us 😁
Amazing what a great little session and healthy beautiful river and fish love it.
Chris - Great stuff! I’d like to see you fishing for Tiger Fish in Africa! Cheap flights to Gambia from UK in the winter months. Alhajie Saho Sarr is the guy who could set it up on the ground 😅 fishing the River Gambia upcountry.
Class Angler , love your vids mate 👌🎣
That river looked in pristine condition, surprised you didn't catch any brownies tho,I must say what a great channel and fisherman you are
Amazing video as always. I am inspired by you. Hoping one day I will fish with you 🤞
I wish the videos did end so quickly 😂 i need more all ready I would also like to see you fishing for pike in the afternoon with big trout swim baits its works like charm for mw ❤

Uve got golden balls or should I say ginger nuts uve got lure fishin really dialled in G luv watchin u my friend xxx
😂😂😂😂😂
great vid as usual would like to see you try fish big wide rivers (trent) and see how you tackle them 👊
Trent is a man’s river 😎 especially for big pike 👌🎣
Good idea. I purposely don’t fish the Trent as it’s too big. Where are the fish? Much easier to find them in small rivers/brooks.
@@leftmono1016 fish are much harder to find however they are alot bigger
Usually about 1-2 yards from the bank tbh
@@randomguy956 - funnily enough I had a 4.5lb chub out of a very small river this morning. Nice surprise.
Thats a tight spot to be chucking into!!!! Nice work!!! (*play*)
About time someone on this app explains things clearly and don't jump about like idiots and actually crack on with some good old fashioned fishing 😊
Great bit of angling Chris , awesome footage
Be good to see you go live when u go fishing start to finish nice fish buddy
Droppens are my go to, only actually, spinners, tried others always came back to them. The 2gms were fantastic for wild Brownies and Chub, don't know they stopped making them, have to settle for the 4gms now. And 3cm floating Rappalars.

Hey Ginger! Nice vid as usual, I'm a bit jealous as you're my wife's favorite!😂 In France, actually, I give cherries to m'y Friends chubs!
How do you get premission to fish off the bank like in this episode in the UK? Or do you need to ask? In Kentucky on private land you must ask however once in the river stream or creek you are free to fish. Just curious. Nice fishing!
Those chub are not hook shy at all just goes to show if you dont fish where everyone else does you reap the rewards ❤
Class vid mate 🎣

I have a question do you catch al so barbel with a spinner? Me is that a couple times happend in a small river.
I remember what my Dad (RIP told) me: When they were boys, they used do wait wet in the river waiting for giant horseflies to land on them: They caught them and hooked them without weight using only a floating line and a hook, probably those bugs still alive. I would love to start to record my fishing trips but I don't know how to record on my own do you have any tips ?
Where is the river? Looks fantastic
You seem to live in an angling utopia! 😎
Could you please make a video on how to know when there is a bite on a lure rod I really don't get how to know when you have a fish😅
Well, that’s inspired me to get out this morning😂
