I don't have enough words in my vocabulary to tell you how good you did with her! You have a lovely jumping position, I am a first time ottb owner and I've been riding for 10 years and trying to turn him into an eventer or h/j good luck on your journey with your gorgeous mare ❤️
Got an OTTB myself. On our second summer together. Trying to learn him he now has an easier life. Light aids and slow is hard for Him. Hurts to.see his racing pics then hunting.
Her thigh tells ALL at the 14:00 mark. So fit and healthy. This is incredible work. Great video content as well. You included the WHY for every thing you saw or did with your OTTB. 😊 Edit to add: which is wonderful for green riders, too.
incredible!!! i’m hopefully going to go look at a 4 year old thoroughbred soon, he has been started with walk and trotting under saddle!! and they said he has the best temperament they have seen at his age!
how many days a week did you ride her for? i have a 16ish yr/o ottb that is teaching me a lot. this video, honestly, has help me figure out what i should be doing with her.
i have a 16 yr old welsh pony doesn’t understand the word Slowwwww. i say canter and she says race. i’m always very impressed with ottbs that don’t run away at the canter
I can tell you know what your doing especially the under saddle but I’m slightly confused about why you where on her the second day she seemed fine but everything I’ve ever heard or learned most ottbs should really get a few weeks to mounths some even a year before you get on but that’s just my knowing and idk how long she was off the track when you bought her so... just if you could clarify this to me I would really appreciate! ABSOLUTELY no hate intended just curious! GREAT JOB WITH THIS LOVELY MARE💕 ALSO YOUR SEAT CAN I HAVE HALF THAT SEAT LIKE MY SEAT SUCKS BUT COMPARED TO URS!!!🤩
No worries! I totally understand your concern. She had been off the track for 6 months and had her proper let down period after the track! I would never ride an OTTB before they'd had their let down period :)
@@EquineCass ok I had a feeling I was just curious and I love your videos I was just genuinely curious about it❤️ I’m also freaking out bc you responded🤩🤩🤪✨❤️
my OTTB came to me when he was 9, he came to me with a top line like your horse but all of my trainers said that i cannot canter him untill his topline is built up. its been 5 months now and my trainers still say that he is not ready to canter. i think he is ready what do i do? he is ballenced at the trot and we have poped over some trotting jumps. my barn is realy strict and we risk getting asked to leave is i dont do what my trainers say. if it was not for one of our family friends that work aat the barn, we would have left awhile ago.
im starting my moms ottb any tips im new to starting horses so my mom will help me ofcourse she was a big jumper in her prime years but now does racing but any tips
Hi! I bought a toroughbred english. He stayed for 2 years, and now I worked with him for about 45 minutes, and the next day he couldn't step on his right front leg. Does he have a medical problem because he was used to racing? Thanks also congratulations for what you do with the horses!
watching her shape up over fences is honestly incredible. you did such a nice job with her
I know Im kinda randomly asking but do anybody know of a good website to stream new series online?
@Zachary Zain I use flixportal. Just google for it :)
@Graysen Gordon Definitely, I have been watching on Flixportal for months myself :D
@Graysen Gordon Thanks, I went there and it seems like a nice service :) I appreciate it!
@Zachary Zain You are welcome =)
I know nothing about horses so most of this went over my head but even though I know nothing.... watching horses move is so pleasant.

You did an absolutely wonderful job with her! I’m going to look at my first OTTB tomorrow and I will absolutely be back here to learn.
Absolutely amazing! You have done so well with her ❤
She is sure lovely and sweet...you made a great choice. She has a lovely reach when she jumps...light and floaty.
You've done such a good job with her! So happy and positive throughout training. Well done!!

Thanks for sharing all this. You have really inspired me.
her star is the cutest thing i’ve ever seen, ugh i’m such a sucker for a bay mare with a star 😭
Awesome job gives me confirmation I'm doing the right thing with mine!! Thanks so much.
This has been so helpful for my green horse and me! Thank you so much!
Incredible job!

Thank you so much!
A lovely relationship you both built.
Love ur seat
I got a 4 year old OTTB as my first horse😅...he is doing amazing Though😄
How did you find her races? I'm trying to find my ottbs from 2010 when he last raced. He also raced at woodbine!
You've done a lovely job with her ❤️👌
my horse has the same problems I'm gonna try what I can and understood from this video and hopefully get some improvement 😅😂

Loved this, thank you x
She looks lovely and definitely has a great attitude, she looks so similar to my TB mare.
What are/were you feeding her? I'm having so much trouble getting weight on my 9yo OTTB gelding, esp in the summers here in S Texas.
Try Cavalor Strucomix Senior - available through Chewy. Amazing European feed that really, truly HELPS and supports!
How would you go about teaching shoulder in off the circle?
