Gamechanging tips here, thank you! The boot file changes alone gave me 30-45+ frames in some areas of a large village build that's starting to bog down. Now it's very playable!
its sounds insane, and I still cannot believe this is working, and players have to do it with their bare hands to "fix" the game, with that said, I went up fron 17 fps to 50-60 and bumped resolution from 1920x1080 to 2560x1440 thank you, you are a big man!
nice! i was really surprised by the boot.cfg additions.. i got a 15-20 fps boost with that alone. not sure why that's not on by default. i assume there's some reason..
Any tips on how to get rid of the stutters? As you run around the world, the game consistently stutters, and it seems to be in specific areas, I'm guessing the map is loading stuff in and out, regardless of my max frame rate, those stuttesr are still there, is it possible to further optimize the game to get rid of these? I can be staring directly at the ground maxed at 120 FPS, and I just run in a specific circle overlapping certain areas and it stutters.
AFMF doubles your frames, so if your using it on a game you get 100fps on a 120hz monitor...your game is generating 80more fps than it will ever use and it will stutter. With any type of Frame Generator, you are better off capping your fps, as with the example above you would cap at 60fps, then having steady 120fps with no drops using AFMF2. This reduces gpu load significantly, increasing fps as shown. But keep in mind also you can trade those fps back again to play with higher graphics settings and resolutions than you otherwise would not be able to. The choice is yours ✌
Nothing new, all this information has been moving from one video to another, from one reddit topic to another for several years now. If you are the owner of a modern GPU and have a base with a large number of instances, then all that will help you gain a little FPS is changing the boot.config (in this video 0:45), changing the graphics down does not improve FPS. (says the owner of 4070S and Valheim base of 15k instances)
meh snake oil. 3080TI 5950 is plenty for this game still get 30FPS. This game as much as I love it just is a POS on FPS. I'd love to know how you were getting 165FPS @ 4K... ya right.
Saying it's snake oil, saying you get 30fps, saying you'd love to know how I get 165fps in 4k...follow the steps in the video? Lol if this doesn't interest you, please do move on.
Results may vary :P, sorry didnt mean to sound like an a-hat just done the graphics jobs one many times nothing helps. VH is a dog no matter what ya do. Probably MODS. :)
you have some weird tweaks applied to your game, i have 40-80 fps on my ancient AMD RX580 and i5 7600k at ultrawide 1080p... without any modifications.

Yussss!
This actually worked! I'm getting at least 30 more frames overall. Crazy
Thank you!
Glad it's going well for you!
You deserved this sub. I cant believe this actually helps. I can run it on Max with actually getting 45 FPS and all the mods
Awesome! 🙏 Thanks for the sub, too
This made a huge improvement for me. I had to undo the hi dpi setting as it made the colors funky and the screen too dark.
I'm glad some of the suggestions worked out! Thanks for checking out the video

That's awesome! So glad I could help 🙏
this is the hero we always need
🦸
Step one, steal Taco's computer.
Bahahahaha. That would also work 🤣

Thank you! Yeah, I imagine it creates small issues on really outdated machines? Or creates weird artifacts for some? But a great add for most.

Of course! Glad I could help :)

Solid advice!
I'm on a 240hz monitor so I love trying to get as many games there in frames as I can in 4k. It's like an optimization puzzle 🤣
would i be able to play this game on minimum with 30fps on an amd ryzen 5 7845u with its radeon 740m igpu?
I am unsure 100% but with these setting you'd have your best shot. The 740m may be a little under requirements though? I'm not for certain
finally a video that work thanks man ! and i play in 2K sub and like !
Glad to hear it worked for you! Thanks for the comment and sub 🙏
Are you using opengl or vulkan?
@@voltflake neither. Just standard launch from steam
What about -force-vulkan
That is a thing, indeed lol
why not turn anti aliasing off?
If it works for you and is needed, then turn it off for sure. I prefer it on, especially at higher resolutions/ graphic settings.
Pc gamepass ?
I haven't looked into that one. I'm not sure these tips could assist there :/
Step one, throw xbox away 😂
LOL

Never said it was new 👌
What about people like me that does not live on reddit? This video is the first place I heard this? Honestly I thank this channel
Appreciate that 🙏 thank you
don't mind me, I'm just leaving a message here for an absolute waste of oxygen: Hi, u/deadfrend888, go hug a cactus!
I'm here for it 😀
