Great review as usual. I have a question on the June 2023 feature drop on your Pixel 7 Pro. Do you see Emoji Wallpaper after the update? In my case, I haven't seen that yet. I do see the cinematic wallpaper and macro video. Can you please confirm? UPDATE: I got the update and now I see the emoji workshop
Aaron, Even though I’m Apple till I die (I have no choice they’re holding me and my family hostage in their ecosystem), I love it when you cover Android products to give us a look at the other side.
Works great. Cast music to it when docked, digital picture frame when not in use, more than capable tablet when undocked and you never have to worry about the battery life. On sale I highly recommend but wouldnt pay full price
Looks awesome! Simple 2-1 tablet. Wish the speaker were louder tho. I think this tablet was made for simple non techy persons at home, maybe even kids. Get on it, do u and then dock it back in and go about ur day. Nice one. Thanks for video Aaron!
Looks great tablet...but I'm completely committed to Apple in every way...my whole family are too...from iphones to ipads and Airtags. I honestly think for a whole bunch of folks they love Apple products but also the ecosystem. Impressive device though.
Even if you wasn’t on the Apple ecosystem, an android tablet is not s good idea, the app support is not as good, unless you use it for video streaming and casual gaming. But I see Google is giving it a home hub focus which is interesting indeed.
@@augustogalindo8687I had an iPad and gave it up for an android tablet. However good iPads are I can't stand the gesture system. The fact you can't swipe back in every app or page is so annoying.
It's a real compliment to this UA-cam channel that you're watching this review even though you're not remotely interested in the product cause it's not manufactured by Apple. I can't help but think being committed to Apple in every way seems like it could be very expensive. But the sacrifice may seem worth it to stick with iMessage and facetime.
Bought one on sale. Good review. I wanted to see a proper unboxing that unseals the box so I know what it is like. I got an ipad mini that was open box even though I bought it new. Took me long to find a proper unboxing video on that too. Thanks.
"I really like your approach to making videos in 2023. Very few people are using the traditional method we're accustomed to in reviews. Best regards to you, keep it up."
I was surprised that the included power charger for the speaker base didn't use a USB-C connector. The barrel jack seems a little old fashioned. How does the Google Tensor 2 processor benchmark against other Android tablets?
And watching this on my pixel tablet right now. What has really frustrated me is how much space is wasted by the status bar and everything else when trying to browser web in chrome. Not a very good aspect ratio for that.
I think it's a fair general use table however, if you're looking for a productivity oriented tablet I'd look elsewhere for now. I'd like to see Google continue to build new generations of this tablet and continue to improve.
And when you block the rotation of the screen horizontally, and when you open a vertical application... when you leave it, does the tablet turn horizontal again?
There are some rumors saying that the regular Tab S9 may get an AMOLED panel. If this is true, the Pixel Tablet could be a decent alternative unless Samsung addresses the PWM.
I might actually pick this up. This is reasonably priced. I have been waiting so long for Apple to make a kitchen Nest Hub thing. Google has beat them to the punch. I will not use this as a tablet though since I already have a iPad Pro for that and I would not enjoy the experience, the Pixel Tablet would be my kitchen appliance instead.
I just got this, but it is just a paper weight. I never got past the second setup screen before it stopped working. I spent one hour on the phone with Google Tech Support, and they could not fix it. They said other people have had the same problem, and they would get back to me if the engineers ever figure out the problem. They would not replace it. So I have an expensive paper weight that I can't even set up. I give this .5 stars.
Chrome probably crashed since it was a newly setup device and there would be a whole lot of app updates from the Play Store being installed in the background, and apps need to close fully to update :D
This looks like a great device, but I still prefer iPads. It just made me wish iPads could turn into a home hub like this tablet. Maybe they'll add a similar feature to the iPad in the future, since they just added something similar to the iPhone with standby mode in iOS 17.
I originally bought into the Nexus - Google stopped it; then the Pixelbook -- Google moved to the Slate and then ditched it; I then bought into the Pixelbook Go -- Google stopped it. Now they want me to trust that they are in the watch and tablet eco-system for the long haul? Mmmmmm....
Hi. Had you heard about the SIM issue in iOS 17 Developer Beta? If not, let me explain. Today, I waked up and then I looked at my iPhone. As unexpected, it shows “No SIM recognised”. Apparently, Apple tried fixing it but it was “unable to diagnose with current information”.
Video wise from the man Z absolutely outstanding, as for the device hmmm, people slate Apple all the time but they (other companies Google in this instance) like to bite almost everything from tear tabs, wrapping, to a envelope which just needs a huge G sticker lol, fortunately I have been in the Apple ecosystem since the 3rd iPhone and have added to it every year or every new product, I know one person who uses Android or Google and he has said he can’t afford this or he refuses to pay for a iPhone or whatever and that’s cool who amI to judge but as I was saying he out of all the people and family I communicate with all have Apple and none of it has anything to do with me influencing them, so I can only deduct from my very own past experiences that Android to me anyways is a false economy device company, I will get a lot of hate but if I hadn’t have learned the hard way of buying numerous PC’s and a couple of Android phones that you get what you pay for then i’m sure most of my “group” would also be on Android, I think it’s okay if you want open source and stuttering but I prefer security, quality and premium for my work and home life. Yes the higher end phones are always goin to be back and fourth that’s a totally different argument but i’d take a iPad over any other tablet due to me having to set up my one said friends Tablet from Google. Preference is subjective and while I applaud Google;s “Cheaper” things with a premium look I would take 100% Apple premium any day. Apple will never make a £130 mobile and to me that’s nice to know. Thanks Aaron, amazing video quality as always Love, Purpose n Peace MCD
Kinda useless without a good smart assistant. Hence why that Bixby Speaker only got a very limited release in Korea and then was promptly discontinued.
$500? Way too expensive, especially for a mid-grade device with no other accessories. Better tablets for that price range; this is basically a portable Google Nest Hub Max… Also from other channels, I’ve heard that Google Assistant is kind of going down hill. Mr. Mobile explains his experience as constantly declining in performance. This might be another one of those Google flops
Not only that, but it looks like a tablet that was made in 2013 10 years ago. This is a 10 year old tablet same tech from 10 years ago. Google doesn’t like to upgrade their stuff I mean that’s wrong I guess I should say that they went from a five megapixel camera to an eight megapixel camera and an LCD screen to an LCD screen, so Google is amazing Lol What a joke google is I mean look at their Google pixel slate in their Google pixel C tablet didn’t do very good. This thing is not going to either. It’s just laughable at this point.

Just like their last device had five megapixels and now it’s eight megapixels. Wow Google your camera quality is amazing you went from 5 to 8. That’s amazing amazing tactor Google. The fact that a Pixel Tablet acts like a hub is mind-blowing. Kudos to the Pixel Tablet for being more sociable than I'll ever be
Yeah it’s like Apple has never used the iPads as hubs…..😂

What? They even announced it last year...

Google needs to make this bigger. Like 14 inches with mouse and keyboard. Seniors need something simple and bigger.
Great video , nice to see how google's device work

What's interesting is that this is the first tablet (Android or iOS) with UWB. Wonder if that contributed to the slightly higher price.

When it's in hub mode can you access the camera from your phone or other device ?
You can initiate a Meet call, but you can't use it like a Nest Cam.

A litle doubt in my mind…. Does it use both dock and tablet speakers simultaneously or only one at a time.
