I take a shot at making my first Diorama, inspired by Grian's season 9 started base. In this video, I show you step-by-step how I made this Diorama project.

Naming your cat Mumbo is perfect because his whiskers are REALLY moustache worthy!
I literially laughed out loud when you mentioned binge-watching all of Grian's stuff and naming your cat Mumbo. First video I've watched from you, and it was amazing. I've said this on some of the Hermits' videos when they're apologizing for something not being done or looking unfinished: it looks amazing! Better than anything I could do. No need to apologize.
The DSMP to Hermit pipeline, and then the Grain to GTWS to Mumbo to Pearl to- I'll just start naming every hermit. But everyone I know started with Grian and now watches at least 3 hermits. And then you get into Empires.
The Grian effect is a truly powerful force.

I started with DSMP to Grian to Scar to Mumbo (edit: then to Impulse, accidentally missed him out) and now I’m at Empires bingeing Joel 😭 no idea where I’ll end up

I feel like Scott’s main house or Lizzie’s Ocean tower from season 1 of Empires would be fun builds to do if you ever tried this again. Unique styles, recognizable, slightly upscale to this, but still not to complex or large.

I'm in love with the gradient on Gem's builds for this season. The empire of dawn has amazing colors. Would be great to see it built that way.
"I'm just gonna glue on these overhangs I made off camera" has the same vibe as "I went resource gathering off camera".
I love the sheer number of Hermitcraft/SMP jokes in here, and the diorama is faithful to the original. Well done!
This is a crossover of diorama videos and minecraft videos that I didn’t know I needed…and I’m so glad that I found it (oh look, Grian found it too?!!!) Nice job, your hard work and pain paid off!

As a person who builds dioramas and scarfs down grain’s content I love this build and think you did a great job. You also managed to capture the true essence of controlled chaos that is making a sculpture.

Who is this Grain character
The mix of different Hermits' background/time-lapse music, the way you translated parts of the build into real life, the pain of the shingles, the overall build in general-it looks amazing and the video was entertaining as well.

I leaned my head to the side and the pad on my headphones squeaked a bit as Mumbo was yawning. It sounded like a tiny meow and I will live the rest of my life choosing to believe he meowed while yawning.
Whenever I saw the thumbnail for this video I thought somebody had made a whole realistic house, like an actual building somewhere, now that I've finally clicked on it I'm no longer confused :)

grian was my first Hermitcrafter too. I found him through mincraft pranks and building tips. Then Hermitcraft S6 came out and the rest was history

This turned out so awesome! I was 100% with you there when you were shingling lol, it's a really long process and it always looks so much faster in the videos. Love all the textures and the little details (particularly those lanterns hanging on the rope), amazing work~ Would totally love to see you do another model in the future!

This is just absolutely adorable. The copper looks completely realistic, and the entire model feels genuinely like a little doll home, but it's a Minecraft build! Awesome work!
Jess! This turned out amazing! Say, if you want to do another build, maybe check out some of geminitay's builds? Hers are always pretty! I especially like her wizard tower she made for empires season 1, or any of her hermitcraft builds.

Great job on the diorama, I’ve always wanted to make one, but the problem with my builds is that we don’t have a lot of storage space for them.

Having watched all of Grian's hermitcraft episodes, and life series, seeing one of his builds come to life is absolutely amazing! A build I feel like would be up your alley is the winter cabin for Techno and Phil. Seeing how you built the base here, I feel the cabin with your style would be amazing. This looks AMAZING. All the skill you have and effort you put into this really shows! All the details, the little lamps, tiny Grian, ah it's just so cool. Honestly makes me want to try making something like that! As for other stuff to build: Bdubs' moon base from season 8 might be tough but would probably be really cool as a little model! Or Mumbo's little season 8 Peace, Love, and Plants van/camp for Cat Mumbo lol

I always watch the first 15 Episodes of Grain's POV of Hermitcraft and then I loose the streak of me watching the video he uploaded that day because I watch so many other UA-camrs.
If you plan on making more dioramas that need shingles, I suggest you purchase those craft scissors with the wavy blades, they're really handy for making tiny roof shingles.

The “dsmp” to “hermitcraft” is something that also happened to me
I totally understand you Jess. I watched the last 5 years of Grian's content in less than 2 months. By the way, what's really funny is that when I leave my dsmp phase (I mean great 3 years but I think that is enough), my favorite "cosplay/handmade stuff" account goes into the same phase as me. Lovely content as always and would be really happy to see more Hermitcraft related content in the future.
I also recommend Empires SMP, but I think after the crossover you already know their stuff lol
