In this video I take you through my top 10 (actually 11 but 10 is more catchy!) house plants from this past month. My favourite houseplants are constantly changing, but I thought I'd just show you some of the plants that have brought me the most joy in July and give you some insane growth updates on them! I've a friend based in Indonesia. Her driver part-time sells plants and he gave her variegated billietiae. Omg! It's pretty big too. She sent me a photo and my jaw dropped. He threw in some adonsonii albo too.
I usually put my alocasias in terracota, and they love it!
My planty friend had some issues with them, and after moving them to terracota they’re super happy!
I suggest to try your cuprea red secret on it anytime🤗🥰

Honestly I want a piper of any kind. They’re so beautiful. And I reeeeally want a cercestis! They’re so nifty!
Pepperomia in my experience don’t let very long. And they’re so tough to propagate. When you’re successful, they are slow growers. Not against them, they’re gorgeous.

I just bought a philodendron amazon sunset! It is absolutly stunning!! I did pay a pretty penny for it, but worth ever bit. I needed to have it in my colection, it's easily my favorite plant ever.

Hey Claire! Still loving your videos, cool to see what's on your list. My top 5 are currently: Hoya heuschkeliana variegated, variegated Alocasia frydek, Epipremnum cebu blue, large form deliciosa (if I can find somewhere to put one in my house lol) and a "cuddly cactus" Cereus jamacaru (just think they're so cute and different!

My Cercestis Mirabilis just arrived yesterday. It is a very delicate and soft leaf, and from what little I found available it is very much a philodendron that loves lower light and higher humidity. I love it though so much different than anything I have seen. You really need one

I got a cutting of a Hoya callistophylla and a few others over a month ago amd the it's the only one not to put out a leaf so get a size your happy 🙃 with. I've heard them described as 'jurassic like' or more hilarious 😂 'grungy, dumpster'
It’s interesting that alocasia azlanii is hardly talked about on UA-cam. For me it’s a top wish list plant. I have one and it’s beyond exceptional in its pink metallic colouration. Highly recommend x
My wishlist is; Begonia Darthvader, Jade vine, Variegated Banana and all purple and black leaf plants that excists.
Half of your wishlist plants are on mine too! Top 5 would be 1) P. domesticum variegata 2) M. adansonii variegata 3) M. Aurea 4) M. Thai con 5) P. Florida ghost. I like fleckles I guess lol
My top 5 at the moment are Hoya crassipetiolata with splash, H. obovata with splash (very splashy), H. elliptica, H. carnosa 'Nova Ghost' and H. sp. GPS 7240. Total Hoya Head here. I absolutely LOVE your latifolia from Aroid Market such a statement plant! I've got a few peperomia too and Frost and Watermelon are on my peperomia wish list too haha.
Please please do a video on the rare plant festival. I'd love to see what it's like, to decide if I can pluck up enough courage to go to one next year. ☺️

I managed to snag a ticket to the rare plant festival but found out there's a huge train strike on the Friday and Saturday before when I would be traveling and couldn't figure out how else to get there from Guildford. Just a heads up in case you didn't know about the train strike!
Someone else mentioned this down below, but the Par. Verde is SO hard to keep looking like they do when you get them from growers. Warmth is definitely key, along with good light, but even if you give it a ton of light they will STILL go green on you without the warmth. In the conservatory it would probably do olay, but if the place you're moving doesn't also have that warmth, then I'd DEFINITELY wait until you can trade for it or get it for MUCH cheaper👍🤗🌿💚

Nice list! :) Something I wish I knew before getting it is that the Paraiso loses its variegation if not consistently warm. My house isn't warm enough to keep the variegation it came with - still a nice enough plant, but if you want that look you buy them for, it needs consistent heat (tropical temps) and high light.
I also was put off the cercestis by knowing that its apparently a very touchy tricky plant, dies easily...erg, no thanks lol!
Florida beauty are lovely, the price has come down a fair bit here in Australia. the Ghost isn't actually variegated though, it just comes in white - as in the entire new leaf is white - (in the right conditions!) and then fades down to a normal green leaf. The Florida Beauty is the only variegated Florida. I love yellow variegation!

Have you gotten any of them yet? Have you grown cacti before? I'm much more experienced with growing cacti and succulents, than I am with "houseplants".
i feel you about the billietiae. i have the same about the variegated goeldii. i just want it so badly, but i dont have a spare 2-3000€ on my account :')
The regale is notoriously tricky to grow. Maybe you will have good luck though 🤞
Love your wishlist Claire :D I've ordered from equagenera before and I can say that all the anthuriums I got were in top shape and acclimated so well, you should definitely go for it somewhen (just watched your plant haul video before so I guess there's currently no need lmao. The queen and the regale are absolutely stunning though!)

On my wish list currently I have a Philodendron Ring Of Fire, Philodendron Painted Lady and a Philodendron Brasil🥰 can you tell I’m a philo girl🤣💚
I was able to get a baby anthurium luxurians from Ecuagenera as they had a sale for a good price. It really travelled well and it was actually not that small. My wishlist 3 plants are: 1.Ulearum donburnsii. I find it so cute. 2.Hoya polineura variegated. 3.Anthurium veitchii.
I have an Ulearum from Ecuagenera and it is doing very well, i am testing it at the moment but it seems to propagate from leaves with a bit of stem.

Hey Claire, just got a question! I’ve recently bought a bird of Paradise for my bedroom which has a SW facing window it’s a fairly bright room that gets a few hours of sun in the evening, will this beautiful plant do fine here or will she start to look unhappy? Also! As they like high humidity which humidifiers do you recommend? Thank you tyler xx
Update had the plant for roughly 21 days and the growth it’s given me is amazing, one has grown about 30cm, such a fast growing plant I love it!. I bought this plant so it could drape over my bed and it feels like this will be happening sooner than I thought 😊
Why are you in a plant ban? I see you love large leafed plants. They are very beautiful. I especially love small plants with pink or red or variegated in them. My top five favourites are blushing philodendron, True red Christmas cactus, peperomia Golden gate, Golden Flame Sansevieria, and Iron Cross Shamrock. Of course it is difficult to stop at 5, but once I have these I’m sure I’ll have five more quick enough on a new list. Thanks for the great videos.
Just realized I've been watching your videos and not subscribed. Fixed that today. Ok my 5 are mirabilis, Florida ghost, rubrocinctum, piper parmatum, clarinervium.
The Hoya red has to be sun stressed to get the proper color so maybe it was in shade
I have a few Alocasia on my wishlist: Cuprea , Azlanii, Dragon Scale and Sanderiana Nobilis. Also Hoya Calistophylla , Anthurium Forgetii , Piper Sylvaticum and Philodendron Splendid.
I killed a Jacklyn a few months ago but i found about 10 corms and they are now starting to sprout! Ofcourse i was to impatient and i bought a second Jacklyn...the second is doing well until now and if something happends, i still have my tiny corm babies :D
Ecuagenera has a Europe site aswell, i bought a few times from them and had no issues. Since they are shipping from Germany and i live in Germany shipping took like a day or two, the plants arrived in soil and i didn't have to aclimate them. I am not sure how and if they ship to UK.

Great plants! I want paraiso verde and warocqueanum as well :D If it comes to pronunciation, there are no strict rules applied to binomial names. Say it the way that feels smooth and natural in own language and people will understand. However if you want to take the game to a next level, put an Italian accent on! That's as close you can ever get to Latin ;) Some theory: "ae" and "oe" should both sound like short English vowel "eh" - like in 'pen' or 'best'. In case we have "aë" or "oë" (with diaeresis), we pronounce it as two separate vowels, so "ah-eh" or "oh-eh". Again, be smooth and natural. Don't let it sound like an adult movie ;) Other thing is with double "ii" at the end. We have a lot of these in botanical nomenclature. Literally EVERYONE gets it wrong. Saying "ee-ay" is just redundant, silly and totally unnecessary. Makes my ears bleed every single time I hear it LOL Think of 'Hawaii' in that matter and imagine hearing "hawa-ee-AY". Sounds stupid, no? :) Same with "adansonee", not "adansonee-AY" and so on. Best guide to binomial pronunciation can be found here: www.jlhudsonseeds.net/Pronunciation.htm :)
