Okay. My mom passed away in 2016 of MND. When I was a little girl, we were poor and my mom was a notorious plant beggar, pincher, divider, propagator. She had the most beautiful pale lilac old-fashioned trailing petunia in flowering all year round in a lovely old ceramic pitcher growing in an E. facing window. In the mornings, the light would come in through that plant and my mom would ask me to come in and admire it with her. I think she was just trying to get me to be quiet and sit still to let my little brothers sleep. Anyway, since then, I've been trying to reproduce a trailing type petunia in my house. I have a good window for it now and have water propagated a few candidates I found at the garden store recently. Fingers crossed.
I'll have to learn more about her, I tell you what though, I LOVE regal shields, beautiful plant, nice growth habit and even relatively forgiving as far as alocasia go.
@@danieldow3094 probably one of the most forgiving of all the Alocasia I own. It’s extremely resilient and I just think the satin-y finish (from the black velvet) on the classic Alo leaf is beautiful.
After I managed to cross of A.veitchii and A.vittarifolium off my whishlist in 2021, my wish for 2022 is to see my existing plants grow healthy! Keep showing us what you come across tho!
You're so lovely and encouraging! And that eye shadow is amazing. Once I'm done catching up here, I'm absolutely going to binge watch all your beauty content. You're a plant person after my own heart ❤
My wish list actually does not have a plant on it.... but it does have something for my plants, a small greenhouse for my plants. An oasis where I can spend time with the ones I have in order to enjoy new ones brought in. I'm not really a "rare" collector even though I enjoy seeing what's out there. My budget is common to semi uncommon... but everyone is loved. Thank you Kaylee Ellen for showing us the beautiful rare plants out there!
My current wishlist is mostly common plants or that are becoming more common. So I've been into this plant hobby more seriously in the past year or so. I mostly have common plants as I just don't want to spend that kind of money yet (it's my first winter with a bigger collection). I also love getting really tiny cuttings and growing them out. So most of the time I get them through marketplace and fb groups for a couple of euro's. I believe thr most expensive one was 20 euro for quite a big hoya -Dischidia ovata (watermeloen) -Philodendron jose buono -Philodendron ring of fire/prince of orange -Philodendron pink princess -Philodendron hederaceum lemon lime -Maranta silver splash/maranta black -Monstera thai constellation -Peperomia japonica
I can't believe I have something that's on your wishlist, that never happens! I love my Maranta Black, it's so gorgeous and different. The only place I've found them is through private sellers and very seldomly too. Bought mine as a 2 leaf cutting for low triple digits at the time.
I know this video is a little older now but I was able to cross 2 plants off my wish list this year - Alocasia black velvet and Alocasia silver dragon. A lot of my wish list is made up of pretty common plants but I don’t order online and that makes it a scavenger hunt for new plants in town since we get the same things all the time! I would still like to get an Alocasia cuprea, a raven zz, and I’d like to maybe dip my toes into some more expensive plants this upcoming year and try purchasing online. 😊
WOW Kaylee, your make up is yes always on point, but that eye look is fire...🔥 Hope you are feeling better, sending you all the good vibes....stay fierce queen 👑 Oh and my wishlist consists of 3 a Philodendron Fibraecataphyllum, love those big ears and oooh so pillowy. An Anthurium Pallidiflorum, I adore my Anthurium Pendens, now I need the velvety one to pair with her on my bedroom fireplace. In an addition to my list il be 100% hunting for a nice Hoya Rebecca (for my eldest daughter Rebecca. She's looking to buy her first home this yr, and Iwant to give her something special. Lol she already went 'shopping' 🤣 in my plant room and I have about 30 cuttings propping for her !!) Thank you again Kaylee, not just for the planty content but all your open, honest and supportive videos on mental health, they have helped my younger daughter so much seeing, from someone other than her mum, Dr or therapist that there is a better, happier and brighter future just waiting out there for her. She no longer feels hopeless every day and you played a part in that...🤗❤
I managed to score a wish list plant the other day 😊 I picked up a philodendron Gigas from Bunnings (our big box store) in Australia for only $36. I had to share as I love a good price too
Dude, the colour selection of your lights...chef's kiss. At the moment, I'm trying to bulk up on the plants I already have. I just bought another marble queen and I plan on getting another Florida Ghost and maybe a few others.
I’m obsessed with philadendron orange princess, only found out about it a week ago, it’s like prince of orange in colour, but splotchy like a pink princess and it doesn’t fade to green by the look of it. Never seen it for sale ever
Can't wait to see what you end up getting this year! The variegated golden dragon's are beautiful! I am planning to collect more Homalomena's this year; I am obsessed with my Maggie. Im also really enjoying growing Anthurium's from seed in the last few months. Its taught me patience and I love seeing how different they turn out
Ooooo I love the maranta. I have a silver band on my wish list! I also just want to say that I am glad I found your videos and your community. I've binge watched your whole channel and it seems like you've had some up and downs and a rough go from time to time. I am sorry for that. For what it's worth, there are plenty of us that really appreciate you. Its so interesting to learn about your wishlist, you always introduce me to completly new plants. For my wishlist honestly I just want to continue collecting different types of pothos and to try out growing pelargonium (not because of the blooms, even tho they are pretty, but because of the interesting leaf shapes and colors).
Kaylee! How do you feel about redleadexotics pollination of the PSS?? new video on pollination and hybridization would be cool! ALSO will you be bidding on ''Dominics unicorns''???????? lol
Just got into plants!!! Just started watching your channel!! I have a fun little collection so far (PPP, WPP, monstera, a few alocasias), but one that’s on my wishlist is BASIC! Marble Queen Pothos!! lololol
That tri color monstera is gorgeous! My wishlist is a M. Aurea. I’ve already got a couple off the list this year. Ring of fire, syn albo, scindapsus tricolor
Don't have a concrete wishlist yet but I know I want an alocasia zebrina, philodendron gloriosum, Florida beauty, golden dragon, and a Thai constellation. Love seeing your wishlist updates. I'm so new to all this that I love hearing from someone much more knowledgeable in the rare plant world.
TBH I don't have a wish list right now. The Plants that I really, really wanted (Monstera esqueleto and Thai Constellation for example), I have gotten at this point. There's a few I'd get when there was a really nice big specimen coming my way, like with the variegated Epipremnum or Amydrium Medium (which is pretty difficult tbh... it'S just sending out runners, no leaves and it's in a very humid situation), but overall, for now I want to grow out what I have for now. I wouldnT' say I am on a No-Buy because that makes me want to actually buy things, but for now I am pretty happy with my plants.
Those are some beautiful plants! Excited to see what you get and how they fair! I have my eyes on a Dean McDowell (I blame you lol). They just look awesome!
I adore the monstera miracle! 😍 What a beauty. Not so much the white monstera though, that one's not my cup of tea. 😅 As for my wish list, at the top currently is Philodendron Billietiae, Philodendron Tortum, Anthurium Vittarifolium, Anthurium Clarinervium, Rhipsalis Paradoxa and Selenicereus chrysocardium 😊 (A fellow Geordie here by the way and constantly in awe and proud of how much you have grown your planty passion and business! 😌🌿)
Some on my wishlist: Spathiphyllum Picasso Scindapsus Luciens Scindapsus Tattoo Variegated hastatum "silver sword" Variegated Peru Philo. Snowdrift Philo. Gigantium Blizzard Philo. Rui Sub Wend Imbe variegated I love hearing wishlists! The chance of learning a new plant or version of a plant you have already is amazing. My list is way longer than this and ever-growing! Thank you for sharing your wishlist, Kaylee! I added a few of these to mine :)
Hm the aglaonema pictum tricolor is still on my wishlist, still not super cheap and easy to find here in the States. Lovely wishlist! Those monsteras are super cool looking.
That monstera miracle tho 😍😍😍 also didn’t know it existed, also now obsessed. My controversial plant opinion is that I’m not big on philodendron, there are philodendron that I like but not a lot of philodendron occupy my wishlist! Give me all the alocasia, also dipping my toes in anthurium recently, love your vids!!!
the anthurium hype train stopped right in front of my face after shackling me unnoticed for months. SO im here and i casted an eye on the wendlingeri because of its amazing flower and long leaves. PLUS i just recently learned that anthurium start every new leaf very small and grow it large (because apparently im living underneath a rock. probably 10.), anyway they have thousands of really cool features. Thanks for the video!
Everytime you make a new list I'm always just impressed with the amount of variety in the world of plants! The Red Moon and Golden Dragon were my favs (so far.) My wishlist 'big ticket' plants are P. Florida Ghost and Hoya Nicholsoniae New Guinea Ghost. The Florida Ghost has such a fun leaf shape, and the New Guinea Ghost is such an interesting color with almost lavendery sunstress.💜👻
The black Maranta is also on my wishlist! There are right now two for sale in Germany, but at 400 and 600€. I got a M. cristata, Silver Band and Cat Moustache/NoID yesterday. Most other plants on my wishlist are rare-ish Calatheas, like the 'Electric Shock'. Pretty common in South America and SE Asia, but absolutely unobtainable in Europe.
Wish list: your eye shadow, LOL, monstera white monster, monstera miracle, alocasia serendipty, the philo polypodoides (sp?)...oh and a hoya polyneura (still waiting after many years), and philo whipple way!! and I need to get another cardboard palm and fishtail palm...loved your video, very peaceful background vibe 💕💕
I just got a couple of my wish list plants. I have now a varigated bear paw succulent, cebu blue, anthurium crystallinum, and raven zz. I do want to get an Syngonium Erythrophyllum, and alocasia stingray. There are many hoyas I want to get when I get a bigger place.
Oh the same filming day but I love the coloring/lighting/shade in this video more than the last vid. You look beautiful. Also the plants are nice too. Edit: im excited for the experiment of the white
Top of my wishlist are the Florida Ghost and the Melanochrysum. I have a Florida Green and it is such a cool plant, like a dragon. It is never fussy. And the Melanochrysum is just stunning with those big velvet solar panels. I want to put it in a nice corner with its own growlight and let it go wild.
I am FINALLY moving into an appartment next week that has bIG windows so I am going to try and get a few plants like a monstera thai constelation, a philodendron dark lord, and a Florida Ghost! and a bunch more monstera delisiosa regual and some more golden pothos for *jungle vibes*
The Maranta Black was recently available at my local nursery (assuming it was correctly labeled). I haven't been back cause I am slowing down on acquiring plants.
Hello, I was just watching this again and finally remembered the name of one of my wishlist plants and that is the Marie Moire which is a caladium, and it also has a mostly white leaf with green veining and heart shaped. It’s very beautiful and used to be a very popular house plant. The monstera white monster reminded me of it
A Cebu blues because I love the blue tinge and any other plant that colour tbh. I need more to add to my Philo Silver Sword and Ctenanthe Burke Marxii Amagris 💙💚
I ADORE absolutely all of the plants on your wishlist. I very badly want a large form variegated monstera of some kind. I love love love this tricolor you pictured, I’ve not seen it before! If the variegation is anywhere as stable as a Thai I’m even more interested 😍
The black maranta is stunning! I have the philodendron florida ghost and bronze on my wishlist. We're moving to a bigger house soon so I'll have more room for plants 😉
The philodendron red congo variegated is definitly going on my wishlist and I'll make a video about it soon. I think the miracle monstera is BEAUTIFUL but imposible to get...
I do t have a wish list per say but I evaluate what I like when I see it everything from a my golden dragon to my brulemarx fantasy. But that deltaForce you posted has to be the top plant for me lol!
My wish list for this year are: good quality Florida beauty, Variegated bipenifolium, Philodendron Jose bueno, variegated Laniata, A. Clarinervium, Dark Forgetii, and of course a whipple way. If I get all those this year I will be happy…. And then I can move onto other unicorns
These are all beautiful plants, especially the Miracle! I am not a pink person either because my favorite color is blue 💙 but there is not a lot of blue in houseplants so I have a weakness for pink leaves because it’s unusual. Although I found myself staring at the backgrounds of some of these pictures because I am currently trying to find the right gray to paint my walls and I was looking past the plants like “that’s a nice gray” 🤣!
I’m so glad I saw this video today because only yesterday, I did a decent plant purchase and I got two that were on my wish list. The Calathea White Fusion and a Maranta Leuconeura Erythroneura (Lemon Lime) which I’ve had my eye on for AGES. They may just knock off the Warscewiczii as my favourite of all the Calathea.
Hi Kaylee! Im a Kaylee too! If that white monster really is stable then I can already see how much hype it will get. Personally, I’m not a fan of variegated plants, but I do have a PSS on my wishlist as well as a p. melano (but mature and large!)
I am a long year orchid lover. FYI, there are thousands of fantastic orchid hybrids, which have taken ages to creat. Some orchids are growing soooo slowly that it take decades to creat some new crossing with persued characters. Never have I ever heard of such kind of contract. The degree of human's greed just keep making new records!!! BTW, there were no such thing about Patents even for vaccine development until the 70's , when in the US everything has gotten commercialized... In the 40's or 50's, when a doctor developed a new vaccine (like Jonas Salk who has developped the vaccine against polio). No doctor or company during that time would ever come to the idea of making tons of money out of it!!! They did it because they wanted to solve problems or bring pleasure to the whole human beings! And that's exatly why we are STILL in the pandemic! because the very most of countries are not allowed to produce the covid vaccine, in order to make sure that some western medical companies keeping getting more and more and more money?
I clicked this vid so fast. Cause if Kaylee has a wishlist plant...ive gotta see it (only cause you have access to so many-no shade :) ). I know it's random but on my wishlist is a really good looking dragon bone cactus. (Euphorbia lactea-something or other). The cuttings or "full" plants I see are all janky and cut up looking. I don't know why.. It just is a vibe. Thanks for the vid!🌱
My wishlist plant is a monstera esqueleto 😍 i loove the adansonii monkey mask, and having a giant version of that would be awesome! And the obliqua cause it so small and cute 😍 and the alocasia dragon scale. Im focusing on keeping my "plant collection" small tho, so not stressing about getting new plants soon. Finally scaled down enough to just enjoy what i have. Its lovely

I'd love to collect all the pothos varieties I'm new to plants love them vining around my home and love all the colours
The Maranta Black was recently available at my local nursery (assuming it was correctly labeled). I haven't been back cause I am slowing down on acquiring plants.
That monstera miracle is absolutely amazing.
Love love love the monstera miracle!!!!
Hello, I was just watching this again and finally remembered the name of one of my wishlist plants and that is the Marie Moire which is a caladium, and it also has a mostly white leaf with green veining and heart shaped. It’s very beautiful and used to be a very popular house plant. The monstera white monster reminded me of it
I love the spidery looking philodendrons! I have a philo moonlight and I also love the rosette forms.
The Alocasia Serendipity is beautiful 😍
The black maranta is stunning! I have the philodendron florida ghost and bronze on my wishlist. We're moving to a bigger house soon so I'll have more room for plants 😉
The philodendron red congo variegated is definitly going on my wishlist and I'll make a video about it soon. I think the miracle monstera is BEAUTIFUL but imposible to get...
I love this wish list! And your eye shadow! 🥰
This year I really want a Hoya obovata & a mathilde! I have recently fallen in love with all things Hoya and those are at the top of my list right now
I want the last one! Love monstera, love Thai, large and aurea ❤🤩❤
I do t have a wish list per say but I evaluate what I like when I see it everything from a my golden dragon to my brulemarx fantasy. But that deltaForce you posted has to be the top plant for me lol!
Time to grab a nice drink and put on this video.
Edit: that last monstera is gorgeous! And I hate yellow variegation usually.
On my wishlist is the Alocasia longiloba, Xanthosoma lindenii and a plain old sarracenia
My #1 on my wishlist right now is the philodendron Majestic.
Girl you look so good!! 🖤
I love everything on this list except that white Monstera.. it looks weird to me. The Monstera Miracle is gorgeous and I love that Black Maranta too
Loving your eye shadow's.
Omg gonna add a few more to my list and you look glorious in this kaylee 😍😍😍
The philodendron red congo variegated is stunning 😍
Its lovely
