I love wishlist videos. I always get introduced to so many cool plants. I'm pretty new to plants, but I'm really interested in the alocasia sarian. I just love the leaf shape and color. Saw a big one at my local nursery and I really considered getting it lol
I got an Anthurium Pallidiflorum in March, and love it! Only downside that I’ve experienced is that it’s very easy to dent and bruise the leaves - so be careful when bringing it home/moving it around/doing plant chores.
Anthurium pallidiflorum & Alocasia dragons breath have been on my list too for so long! They're both so gorgeous! 🌿💜✨

I happened across an A bisma in the only nursery for hours here (rural Australia) that has houseplants, they randomly get the odd few interesting things, and - wow. Was not on my radar at all, but I went away and couldn't dislodge it from my mind! When I finally went back a month later and found it stuffed in between other suffering souls, a leaf stuck under the pot of the plant next to it, I grabbed it.
It was only $20 AUD (about 10 pounds) and has multiple pups, so bargain! It is actually more stunning than the photos you showed there, an undescribeable purpley silver, I highly recommend!
I have a few hoya on my wishlist too, but mainly terrarium begonias...obsessed...

I noticed this video at the right time. Today I bought an Aglaonema labelled as ‘first diamond’ but when I got home after checking the internet, I realized the name was wrong, the leaf shape and colours were wrong. Thought it was a type of ‘cutlass’ and BOOM! your video. My plant is the exact same as ‘white lance’! Thanks for the video. I just hate mislabelling or even worse no labels at all!😂

The plant you have right in front by your hand is so big and beautiful. I have it and had to move my plants and it started dropping leaves and looking awful. I’m so sad. It’s such a full and beautiful plant.
I've got a pallidiflorum and I'm quite pleased with it. It's been a slow grower for me, but care wise I find it to be quite chill.
The Alocasia heterophylla is stunning. It's a species. The scientific name is a typical species name, but to check out whether a plant is a species I usually google the scientific name plus kew. In this case alocasia heterophylla kew. If it's a species Kew will have it listed as one. Kew is also a great resource for us who want to keep track of which names are accepted and which are synonyms.

Hi Claire, I’m looking for the hoya sunrise and I just can’t seem to find it here. I even checked out several sellers of hoyas including FB MP and no-one seems to be even selling a cutting. One of these days it will turn up on FB. I’ll be so happy when I find one. Thanks for sharing your Wishlist plants.

Your number one presented (scindapsus) is in my collection since November and my experience is it needs a lot of humidity. It was doing absolutely nothing until I put it into a propagation box with wet sphagnum and placed it on heating mat. After 3-4 days I noticed new small aerial roots developing. I would be happy to see a video on aglaeonemas. I am a big fan of them however I am a begginer. Thank you.
I’ve had the good fortune to recently pick up a philodendron billie, and a philodendron red anderson , which has made my wish list 2 plants shorter 😂

Holy cow, what is that growing up the plank in the background?! 🤩A lot of these choices have now made it on my wishlist. I'm just kinda starting to branch out into other plants and am SO glad I have. The ones I've gotten thus far have brought a ton of joy into my space.

If you are looking for a pallidiflorum I can not recommend Eastern Tropicals more. I not long ago got an anthurium ceronii from her and I am waiting for my pallidiflorum. I have been absolutely thrilled with my ceronii, putting out a huge new leaf already! I think I will be picking up an el choco red soon, been on my wishlist for a while now too. Also, I can't make my Schismataglottis happy. Deffo don't think it has pests but I don't think I am getting the watering or lighting right, it's just kinda meh no matter what I do lol

Really nice wishlist. My newest plant from my wishlist is Anthurium pallidiflorum - I have not one, but 3 seedlings (I got one as a gift). I am so excited and very curious to see how the tiny babies will grow.
I have no experience with this genus, so this is a challenge for me
Claire! An alt you could look at for the Joy Splash is the Vitellina Splash, I have it in my collection and it's very similar. Very beautiful.

Philodendron Billi was a purchase a year ago for $20 Canadian. Pretty cheap. It is incredibly easy. Pushing out a new leaf and looks to be a pretty big size. Looking forward to its opening.

I currently don't own any Aglonema because I'm not sure where I would pit one, I feel like they grow in this 360 kind of way.. beautiful tho
Oh, Pallidiflorum is absolutely amazing! In real life, it has a satin sheen. I imported this plant, and it arrived with five long leaves and a few funny small ones. Surprisingly, it didn't even look stressed or shocked after shipping; it thrived for about a month and a half. However, four leaves started to curl and brown. Now it only has one long leaf, and not much has been happening for quite some time. But recently, it produced a new offshoot with two baby leaves. I guess the plant will survive after all, but it's a bit sad that I have to wait for it to mature a little bit. Despite that, it is beautiful and magnificent plant, especially compared to other green-leaved plants. I really love it! I'm not sure what to do now - should I be patient and wait, or should I order another one since it's a good time for shipping from Ecuagenera, hehe. Althrough, I also should put myself on plant ban! I spoiled myself lately with few plants and most importantly crossed wishlist plant - anthurium magnificum silver 💚💚💚
Really great video! (as always) Just because you asked, My #1 wish list that I'm sure I will never, ever get with the super high price is the Wiliamsii. Etsy is a pain because I see something and purchase it even though I put myself on a plant ban weeks ago! Just received the Monstera spiderman starter plant that hopefully will turn out beautiful.

The Hoya silver dollar- pinky/purple is def from sunstress. You can keep it green by keeping it in the most minimal light it can handle. It’s so beautiful either way.
A few of my wishlist are the Hoya clemensiorum, begonia soli-mutata, philo spiritus-sancti, alocasia lauterbachiana & watsonii and most of all a burle Marx flame!
Spherical is a word & you used it correctly to describe the leaf; trust yourself Claire! Congrats on tat.
Love the s. tricolor. Mine grows veeeeery slowly--has put out maybe three leaves in six months 🙃 Not sure if it's just mine, or if that's common of this plant, but my other scindapsus are all pretty fast growers.
From what I've heard an seen they are just very slow growers even slower than big leaf hoyas
Bisma is the same plant as the Platinum 🙂 Platinum is just a trade name. The Billie is super easy to grow, but it has a big wingspan. They have the same growth pattern as the 69686, Joepii, Golden Dragon

In my experience pipers are drama queens. Got rid of one a few months ago as it was getting on my nerves 😅 Tried to propagate it and put it into semi-hydroponics but it is also though to propagate.
Plants are getting more and more accessible as the tissue culture is being developed. I bought philodendron billietile and and philodendron paraiso Verde in local gardening store here in Poland for 40 PLN each ( about 8 pounds). Not small plants either, both in 12cm pots.
There are definitely a lot of anthuriums on my wishlist, pallidiflorium included 😄
El Choco Red losses the red back when it matures, it is still beautifull though.
Too bad that U.K is not a part of EU anymore, i have some El Chocos looking for a home and a few Alocasia Heterophylla Dragon Breath babies/corms and would have loved to trade. I should stop propagating because i don't have space anymore :D
I have on my long term wishlist the Monstera Mint and Burle Marx Flame, Monkey Tail and a Bobbie Cactus, Alocasia Zebrina Reticulata and a Black Velvet Pink Variegated..

Personally I'd like to try a few Alocasia again next year.. I got a few from House of Kojo a couple months back (silver dragon , dragon scale , cuprea Red & azlanii) and they did well for the first 4/5 weeks , and then the typical down hill momentum took hold. I think its actually more from the weather though more than anything. As it was October time.. it was cold through transport (&plants don't always show initial stress) and recently there's been fluctuations from below freezing to over ten degrees literally over night. So it's definitely not been the best time of year to start growing baby's...😂
But ,
There stable , though gradually losing each of the oldest leaves. but the new growth is healthy & flawless as of now. Luckily I managed to harvest some corms from my other Alocasias yesterday , so hopefully something will happen with them over the next few months , but yeah.. Id like to try again , but Im aware how fussy the family is really capable of being 😂. So I think I'm personally going to build a sealed Alocasia cupboard or box environment specifically for them. To try to meet the requirements as best as possible , as that seems to be where people have greater success. When they contain , control & seal them off completely until matured.

Hi, I was hoping you could help me. I have this peace lily that was at my mother's funeral and I'm desperately trying to keep it alive and healthy. My problem now although I've had many is light/sun. I have east windows that are partially blocked and west side that has my only heating and air vents. So should I get a small grow light? And so you know I'm growing my peace lily in water not soil because I've had nothing but bad luck with things like gnats, blacking of the leaves and so on. So even though my plant is in water should I use a grow light? Please help and thank you

I love my anthurium pallidiflorum but it’s actually a bit more demanding than my other anthurium! It’s much thirstier in my experience. If it doesn’t have water in its water reservoir it immediately starts getting dry patches on its leaves! 🤦🏻♀️ soo thirsty 😂 in my experience anyway! 🫢
It’s interesting to see the variations between individual plants and growing conditions. My palli grows in 35% humidity and is my easiest plant. I frequently forget about it and it’s always putting out a new leaf. Love it!
