- in this video, I rescue an old Petrof upright piano. lots of issues with this one, I've decided to do this video in 2 parts!
The piano has woodwork or borer damage to the case, clicky keys, worn hammers etc etc.
key words...
Beginner piano. Fixing an old piano. Cheap piano. Rescuing a piano. Worth fixing.
Really enjoying these piano restoration videos! I think you should make it a series.
Would love to, I want to see how these initial videos go. First vid did really we'll, if I get 1000 subs then I can get monatized. It's time consuming making and editing the videos so if I can get a few $$ then I will continue!
Thanks Andy
@@churtonparkpianos4240 building an audience takes time but the end results is defiantly worth it. you'll reach 1000 in no time
The dampers are starting to lift off the strings because you have the piano sitting on a dolly. Put it on the floor and I believe the dampers will work properly.
You were right!! Completely forgot that happens on some Pianos 🙄 In my defence, there were some notes that were open when it was on the floor when it first arrived. All working great now 😊👍
What a lot of work! OMG.
Loving these series keep it coming 💪 . Thank you for sharing your craft with the world ! Hopefully one day I'll have the space to do this as my hobby xD
Love these videos 😊
Love your videos. Relaxing and interesting. Keep up the good work!
When he replaced the little bit of felt to removed the click, I felt that 😉😏😂
Thanks🎹👍✋
The air blower 🤣
Let’s say someone who’s an engineer who doesn’t have music experience, would they be able to do this on a similar piano? Also what tools / equipment would be needed ?
850 subs now (:
Hi from Argentina! A friend of mine is giving me an upright Mason & Hamilton as a gift. The action is Wessell Nickel and Gross. It is in real bad shape (almost disassembled), but would you recommend restoring it?
Petrof 1950!

If I may suggest to you, that it is generally a very dangerous thing to bring a “cutting edge” towards your hand in case of slippage!
